Mercado Mowers, and specifically Philip, were great from start to finish. Had a short convo Philip over the phone who set up the date and time he would be there, and then he took before and after photos of the property and sent them to me because I couldn't be there physically at the time, which I really appreciated. They have different pricing depending on whether or not you want a one-time lawn care treatment, or an ongoing service (all of which is more than fair and competitive) which was great and well thought out. There was no crew only Mercado, He didn't do a good job on my lawn, Some places he edge and some places he didn't, There was a big section that he didn't cut at all in the back yard, He mostly used his weed eater to cut my yard which left big brown patches in the back and front yard, I was so glad that it rained because it help cover up those ugly brown patches on my yard, I paid him $125 for doing my yard, There was a branch in my backyard he didn't do anything like cutting it, And also on the back side of the house was some branches he didn't cut those either, After paying him that amount of money all of that should have been taken care of, I was looking for a African American man to show up , So I said to Mercado when I opened the door you aren't black, He said to me I'm mix I don't know if he was mix or not but I let him cut the grass thinking that maybe he would do a better job than the last one's that cut my yard not at all read more

UNPROFESSIONAL! We contacted this company on a Friday and discussed getting someone to come out and provide a quote for simple lawn service. The owner responded via phone call and text. We provided all information including the location. The owner stated he would be onsite Friday and he never showed up. We contacted him several times via phone and no response. He finally responded 2 days later stating the reason was due to weather which we haven't had much rain in Houston, mostly cold. The issue was the lack of response and communication. Grass cut and edged at Church, they did a good job were very professional and precise, they came out and did what was asked of them and I appreciate the timeline in which they did it, so I was satisfied, the second time I wasn't because they did not trim inside of flower bed where my rose bush was growing but its all good all in all they're really good!!!! read more

I had contacted the team this morning about a quote and they offered to come by to take a look and give a quote off visuals and they came by same day (I had contact about 4-5 others and no one else came by). I really appreciate that they took time out of I'm sure a busy Saturday, in 100 degree heat, for a quote without a guarantee of hire. The team was communicative, professional, and so understanding and empathetic of our landlord "situation" as well as personal circumstances and budget. The quote was extremely reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done. They even do power washing too! I can tell this business takes pride in doing quality work. They do a very detailed job and make your yard look beautiful as if they have a passion for this job. Yesterday on 3/29/2020 around 1 PM, Philip Mercado used a Weedwhacker in my backyard that didn't need weed whacking. He carelessly flung rocks from the yard into my windows and broke them. He then got scared and asked me to lie about what happened. He then denied giving me his company's Insurance information. He also didn't finish the job while telling his partner to quickly pack up their truck and drive off. He was trying to leave before he was forced to pay. He said he doesn't carry his insurance information with him (which by the way is against Texas regulations legally for this type of company). He told me he'd come back to give me the information, but he then never came back. I am now being forced to take him to court/sue his company for damages, and other problems he and his small company have caused. He has been very dishonest through out this whole process, and has tried to wiggle out of all responsibility. This is not a man and or company you want touching your yard/house at all. Please DO NOT hire this company to do any work for you. On top of that. They will tell you one price when they call you, and then they'll double the price once they show up to your house. I cannot believe how myself and my family were wronged by Philip Mercado and his small lawn services company. He has shown me that he and his company cannot be trusted. No one wants to go through the headache and loss that I'm currently going through. Please avoid this man and his company. read more

Poor lawn care service over multiple visits; complained and thought an appropriate service recovery gesture was made, but still received subpar service that didn't make up for the previous poor service.
