I try to stop in every time I come to Naples. I enjoy the coffee and pastries. I normally get the same thing. The croissant and the little white cookies that taste like maybe mascarpone. They are a good solid cookie. The croissant are also good here. Now that I am writing this and thinking about it. Croissants in an Italian restaurant! now that's different lol. The coffee is something that is a must try. If you like coffee. You are gonna love the coffee they use here. Like the name indicates. This is a nice little store. That you can pick up a thing or two to make a great meal. In the center of the store there is a cute sitting area. It's nice inside. I enjoyed the pastries and coffee each time I come. 50% off select items during happy hour between 4-6 was a pleasant surprise. Better believe we took advantage of that and tried a few items on the menu. Everything was so delicious! We started off with some gelato and affogato's as we arrived before 4pm so waited for happy hour to begin. I didnt try the gelato but the kids loved it. The affogato was one of the best I've had in a while and was a much needed pick me up. Once 4pm hit, we started with the pistachio croissant. They put the cream in when you order and was fabulous! We ordered a mini baguette with mortadella and mini panini. Fabulous! As we waited for our pizza, ordered some wine which was also 50% off. The wife and I were looking for good coffee this morning and saw this small, quaint place. As soon as you enter you see all the various Italian products, and then you notice all the bakery items. There was a young lady behind the counter; she was super nice. The various croissants and other goods were displayed. They all looked so delicious. We chose a chocolate croissant, a cheese pastry, and another item. We had double lattes. Everything was outstanding. We will go back. read more

So glad we found it, everything's we got was amazing, except for the tiramisu, we expected to see a homemade tiramisu made on the spot like the other pictures posted on here, instead we got a frozen slice that we couldn't eat, it was rock hard and couldn't cut into it, don't think I'd recommend it, can't comment on the flavor because we couldn't even taste it. Wow! Love this place! Had a Aperol Spritz and well made and delicious. Had a little tasty bite from there display case. So good. Mortadella pistachios yummy. Shop was filled with excitement watching a futbol match. A very friendly and talented young man behind the counter provided excellent service even-though his heart was in the game. At one point he commented if only no one was here I could watch the match! Thought that was priceless. Some do like there futbol. This place is stocked and awesome. June 15 is 2 year anniversary. What pleasure it is to discover for ourselves this family owned market and eatery. Don't let the name fool you; it is more than a market! Upon arrival Valerio explained that what we were ordering was going to be done in the authentic style. Say no more, this is what we want! So carbonara made with simple ingredients such as Parmesan, egg, and fresh guanciale and his added touch of chopped pistachios. I had a focaccia made with mortadella, straciatella, and pistachio cream. Sounds simple, but the marrying of flavors transported us to Sicily. My husband had his meal with the a blonde Birra Maistra he raved about, I had a glass of their house red, which was a lovely Cabernet. When asked if I wanted another glass, Luca came and gave me a fresh glass of a different wine he explained was between a Chainti and San Giovese. It was so good we had to purchase a bottle. Dessert was recommended to us: tiramisu and a delectable pistachio layered cake. And we had to grab a few items from their market, along with a pistachio latte. Is there a theme here? Pistachios served aplenty. But if you don't like that there are other options. I'm sure we just skimmed the surface this visit. But we look forward to returning to try more. This place was an escape from the daily routine, and truly a little port to Italy. The family spoke Italian and we learned some phrases and enjoyed practicing and speaking to them. This is the place I was looking for when I went to Vergina also in Naples. For someone who's been to Italy many times, this is true Italian. Originally from Catania in Sicily it is a little market that sells wine, food and all sorts of Italian goods in addition to Paninis, Pastas and the best Espresso in the area. I spent the majority of my professional life in the restaurant business, it's just tacky to do that, just like the premade prepackaged desserts they are selling next to the fantastic homemade ones. So go in there and buy multiple items and then you have to pay for a bag to carry it out????? Come on now, this isn't California. We had come for the Grouper but as we were getting distracted by all the menus walking by, the owner ushered us in--my kids decided to sit by themselves and have a meal apart while we went to the geouper place. I visited this Italian cafe in 2023 and enjoyed the food so much. I don't live close by but intend to revisit soon. The Panino Catania sandwich was delicious, filled with mortadella ham with pistachio, smoked pecorino cream, eggplant and olive oil. The dessert was Lemon Torta Non Lella baked by the owner's mother and I sadly didn't get a picture but will add a picture from owner's web page. We felt rushed by the counter lady. We had to bring our glass of wine and water to the table ourselves, even though they expect a tip when you pay. The cabernet was not good. We asked for another silverware set as we just ordered a spinach pastry and were going to share it and she totally ignored us. They occasionally run a 50% off day to drive traffic. Unfortunately they rarely have enough inventory to support these efforts. There were a lot of people in the store so the demand was certainly there but the supply was not. For example, there was no pizza slices available, limited sandwich options and limited bakery goods. But the food was very good, the panino milan proscuitto sandwich was good, fresh bread and nice portion. The spinacina was great, good flavor well melded with the spinach and cheese in the puff pastry. They also sponsor wine and food event nights we will try at some point..
