I stopped by The Brick Coffee & Bar recently and tried their cappuccino with almond milk along with a black coffee. The coffee was good, smooth and flavorful. They had a menu with small bites, and I noticed a cooler that was broken, so not sure what the usual options are. I really love the location right in the middle of town - super convenient. My only wish is that they had more seating inside and outside. It gave me the "grab & go" vibes. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Forget Starbucks. This local coffee shop has better (as in non bitter) coffee and reasonable prices. Friendly service, very good WiFi and comfortable seating inside and outside. Two thumbs up! BTW my 'large' coffee must've been about 24 ounces and cost $3.55. And you can get your beverages either in ceramic or glass or paper cups. My friend and I came here for a late lunch on a whim strolling down 5th ave. We got lucky and got one of the tables outside in the sun (they're first come first serve and you seat yourself). You order inside and then they'll bring you your food. I did the BLT on white bread toasted, which was good, average. My friend got the smoked salmon panini and he said it was good too. Ive only gotten the hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookie here. both are very good. the chocolate chip cookie could be larger given the price, but the texture was good and delicious! service was quick! i had a good conversation with a Lauren who was having lunch. i wouldve given her a phone number of mine but another guy was there too and wouldve been too public and he started to join our conversation a bit, i always like to think ill see someone again by happenstance upon meeting! :) read more

I like coming to The Brick when I have to work in Naples. I can usually find parking nearby and they have plenty of options. I got a speciality coffee at first but hung around until lunch and had a turkey panini. I also got a raspberry black tea. The servers are friendly and there are plenty of places to sit and plug in your computer if need be. They also had good WiFi and music. Worth checking out if you need a place to hang out and have some coffee at. read more

What a cute little coffee shop! First impression is that the barista is so sweet and makes some good coffee! My caramel latte was just right and not to sweet! They have a pretty large menu for a coffee shop so there is something for everyone. Sandwiches, pastries, and more! Vibe wise it feels like a really cozy coffee shop! Nothing gimmicky or flashy, making it perfect for a relaxed cup of joe! There is plenty of inside seating for those hot Florida days and street parking right out front! Popped in during the St Patrick's Day parade to grab a sandwich. They make the sandwiches to order. The turkey was fresh, as were the veggies with it. The chicken salad was excellent. Foamy, rich and decedent. The coffee to foam latte is perfect. It does make you want more though. And the foam is so thick it's scoop-able! People complain that it's not enough coffee and way too much foam. It's supposed to be like this. Plus, the ethnic feel of the place and the love put into every drink is well done and these drinks are NOT American in a sense where you know what to expect from Starbucks. Bloated, and over sugared. Don't get me wrong. Starbucks has its own style and that's ok! There's a time an place for sure an the wifey love it. When we want a real treat however, we don't go to Starbucks. We go to The Brick. Unfortunately, all the feel of a good coffee shop / cafe but without the quality coffee to go with it. I believe they serve Lavazza coffee, which I find to be dark and bitter. My panini was as dry as a toast. The chips that came with it wasn't even put on my plate but a small bag of Lay chips was put next to my food. I don't know where that dirty bag came from - please don't put it next to my sandwich. Also why Lay ? It's the unhealthiest brand. Do a kettle cooked or baked instead of the horrible conveyor belt deep-fry. Being so close to the ocean I expected this place to be more eco conscious - meaning no styrofoam cups and plasticy packaging. I do agree with many of the negative comments , no matter how beautiful the place is inside/outside when you have rude people behind the counter that is a bigggg NO NO, I was standing up for a while , and the sales person was cleaning and finally the girl ask me "you want something "? I almost replied to her "no I am here to sweep and map", she was extremely impolite , she gave me an attitude because I asked for extra foam on my capuchino, it was super bitter since they used lavazza, I give this place a bad review , also because my husband asked for his drink , we sit down and she forgot to make it, finally she said sorry Sr . I forgot your drink, it is not my fault you have to work at a coffee shop and serve people , if you don't like people this is not a place for you. Disappointed in this place today (I have been here before and they were awesome). But today the girl that was behind the counter first of all didn't notice I was standing there for a good four minutes as she was loading the dishwasher and cleaning dishes by hand but also because after I got my drink, I went back to ask for a chocolate drizzle and she says to me what? What? It's not nice to say what to a customer. You ask them how may I help you? She then proceeded to put the chocolate drizzle on top with this disgusted look on her face as if I was a bother. Maybe they need to get people that actually have some customer service skills. I won't be back based on today's experience. read more

I absolutely love this place mainly because of its atmosphere. Very cozy and well decorated, with some great 5th Ave people watching. I have loved all of my coffee drinks and paninis (and the occasional hard cider!). I wouldn't go here if you are really picky about getting word-class customer service or if you want your food and coffee to be the same price as McDonald's. Visited this spot while walking downtown, heard mixed things about the place, some say the coffee is good some say it's terrible, I went to this place not expecting to much, I ended up getting the turtle mocha. Unfortunately the turtle mocha was not anything special at all, literally just poor quality expresso with flavored syrups, I honestly would of rather had McDonald's coffee, not bashing on McDonald's, just saying for the price of the turtle mocha I could of got the same thing at McDonald's for half the price and it would of been much better. They also have desserts which are NOT house-made, literally store bought and tasted frozen but, I don't recommend the desserts at all, you will waste your money!! I stopped in for a cool, caffeinated drink on a HOT afternoon. Grabbed an iced mocha for $4.50 or so. Expected a larger, thick drink that would compete with a Starbucks Mocha or frappacino. What I got was iced coffee with a bit flavoring, and a large portion of whipped cream. It'd be good to give it another go for redemption, but here's the deal - if you're across the street from Starbucks in South Florida: your cold drinks better be able to consistently bring in repeat customers. Otherwise, those people will purchase that $5 huge Frappacino on a hot day every time. People love what they're comfortable with. I wouldn't order another cold drink here, as I didn't get my money's worth. Good vibe inside, and nice outdoor seating, hence the 2 stars. Product was lacking quality and taste. read more

I'D ONLY GO BACK SINCE THERE'S NOTHING BETTER =I want to like this place but have been totally underwhelmed by the Coffee. Your Name has COFFEE in the title--isn't that what you should do well? COFFEE ISN'T GREAT BUT HOW'S THE FOOD? = Honestly I haven't had the food (café dishes like Paninis and Salads) but at least those have looked fresh and the patrons appeared to enjoy it. There's also limited Wine available as well as some pastries and desserts behind a counter display. None of these were gluten-free ... you'll only find that in the drinks or Salad. COFFEE JUST OKAY. SERVICE JUST OKAY = I ordered their advertised specials from their menu board... and tasted water with hints of Coffee flavoring. This is especially true of their cold, blended drinks. When I asked for a Macchiato (preferably the real-style small ones) the young staffer stammered a bit and someone else made it. A rather dignified-looked older lady (Manager I assume) appeared frustrated with her staff and didn't even look at me as she made my drink once. BUT I'D GO BACK = Brick seems to be the best local offering within the area (please avoid that Starbucks place) and packed with relaxing seating, laid-back atmosphere and great outdoor seating views.
