I love grabbing matcha wherever I go. On my recent Naples adventure, I checked out two spots, and Cafe Marquise stole the show. From the moment I stepped in, the vibe felt like a cozy cute European café. The music set the perfect tone, and my crepe (upon my request no powdered sugar, no whipped cream) was absolutely delicious. Now, the matcha. They use ceremonial grade, and mine was light, clean, and beautifully balanced. I got it over ice with a splash of almond milk and a drizzle of honey--sometimes, a simple, flawless matcha is all you need to start the day right. Matt, the barista who crafted my matcha had the friendliest smile and a great energy that made the experience even better. Small cafe but mighty coffee and food! The coffee was really good! I took an extra one to go for the road. My husband had a matcha latte which he really liked. We had a gyro sandwich and the breakfast crepe. Pistachio Baklava and our son had gluten free avocado toast. They have great gluten free dairy free options, great dairy free milk alternatives for people with allergies. Food was fantastic! We really liked everything! The cafe is smaller but it has indoor and outdoor seating available. Nice casual ambiance. Definitely recommend! read more

The managers were really sweet but thought that the desserts were not that good. Perhaps I'm a bit spoiled comparing to NYC and having been to Turkey before, but the chocolate pistachio baklava was not crispy at all. Also tried the lemon almond cake which was better but the lemon could have been more tart. I did appreciate the texture of the cake itself. read more

I absolutely love this place. I've been eating here for two years now and have no complaints. Beignets are delicious. The egg sandwich's are perfect. Avocado toast is amazing. Coffee is great!! Upon entering, I was greeted with the biggest smiles. I went for my go to with a little adventure with a lavender twist. The shop was a calming atmosphere and I wish I would've brought in my book. The only baklava I will eat moving forward! We were visiting and happen to stumble upon this cute bakery. As soon as we entered we were greeted with warm smiles and excitement. Naturally we gravitated towards the desserts and noticed the Baklava but not just any Baklava - a Pistachio Baklava! I knew I had to try it and I am so glad I did! This is hands down the best breakfast experience i have had at a small cafe. It provides a very home kitchen feel, soft music that relaxes the guests and the food is crafted with care and love. Walked out & made a mental note that I needed to post a review, especially since we could tell they were very newly opened. Stopped into this place because we saw their little sign on 5th Avenue & wanted coffee and to support a local place & not the chain down the street. Well, so glad we did - we both had hot cappuccinos and split an order of the pistachio baklava. The two young men working the counter/making the coffee were so nice and patient while I debated getting something fun or my typical drink. Both cappuccinos were amazing & came out so quickly, the baklava was to die for - literally, you cannot go there and not get it!! Will definitely be back! First and foremost I am sitting outside of cafe marquise and I would recommend you do not visit. They must've never been taught how to properly make coffee. Let me tell you they took too long to deliver our muffin, we had to go to the front of the store the ask them for our muffin before they even gave it. Not only that, my caramel frappe was decorated bathwater. It tasted like sewer water and tasted nothing like caramel and nothing like coffee. I had to swallow it down with my eyes closed. I'd go up to them and give them a stank face and leave but my manners are better than that. Anyways, come if you want to contact a polluted water virus ttyl xox. read more

I travel to Naples for work a few times a year. I always make at least one visit here. I have never had a bad meal here and the service is so friendly! The cafe is smaller but it is a very comfortable setting. All the food is made fresh to order, I've gotten their breakfast sandwiches, caprese panini and tried a couple of different crepes and couple different coffees. Even though I don't live in Naples, they have remembered me every time I've gone in.. it has never disappointed me and they will continue to get my visits during my stays! read more

He walked us through the menu, explained how many of the dishes were prepared, and made thoughtful recommendations without ever feeling pushy. We started with the octopus and fresh focaccia with honey. The octopus was exceptional--easily one of the best I've had and on par with dishes I've enjoyed at Michelin-starred and James Beard-recognized restaurants. We also shared the beet and goat cheese salad, followed by the local snapper and the ribeye cap topped with lobster claw and tail in chimichurri. Every dish was beautifully prepared and showcased the quality of the ingredients. The cocktails were well balanced (not overloaded with ice), and the Thyme on Thyme is an easy recommendation if you're looking for something light and refreshing. The wine list paired nicely with the meal as well. Watching the sunset over the water while listening to music drifting across the park made the evening even more memorable. I expected to see a lobster tail but there were just a couple of very tiny pieces of supposed lobster tail that must have come from a just hatched lobster. Thankfully, the food served a few days ago was much better. The American Redfish entree was good enough to order again, if I were ever to go back.
