Small cafe but mighty coffee and food! The coffee was really good! I took an extra one to go for the road. My husband had a matcha latte which he really liked. We had a gyro sandwich and the breakfast crepe. Pistachio Baklava and our son had gluten free avocado toast. They have great gluten free dairy free options, great dairy free milk alternatives for people with allergies. Food was fantastic! We really liked everything! The managers were really sweet but thought that the desserts were not that good. Perhaps I'm a bit spoiled comparing to NYC and having been to Turkey before, but the chocolate pistachio baklava was not crispy at all. OMG the flavor is unmatched and I've tried many! It had the perfect crunchiness and the right amount of sweetness. First and foremost I am sitting outside of cafe marquise and I would recommend you do not visit. They must've never been taught how to properly make coffee. Let me tell you they took too long to deliver our muffin, we had to go to the front of the store the ask them for our muffin before they even gave it. Not only that, my caramel frappe was decorated bathwater. It tasted like sewer water and tasted nothing like caramel and nothing like coffee. I had to swallow it down with my eyes closed. I travel to Naples for work a few times a year. I always make at least one visit here. I have never had a bad meal here and the service is so friendly! The cafe is smaller but it is a very comfortable setting. All the food is made fresh to order, I've gotten their breakfast sandwiches, caprese panini and tried a couple of different crepes and couple different coffees. Even though I don't live in Naples, they have remembered me every time I've gone in.. it has never disappointed me and they will continue to get my visits during my stays! read more
