I then called Iowa Radiology to send me a bill, and they couldn't for over a week because they only get their mail picked up twice a week--what business, especially a bill dept., only have twice-a-week mail service? Then when I received a bill, I could not pay with my HSA credit card--they only accept checks. So I went to their web site to pay the bill and I received a notice "Unable to Receive Payment"!

They have a store to browse while you wait or sofas to sit. We had about 15 people show up and they were able to accommodate us. The room they took us had sofas and floor pillows. I have never been to a ultra sound like this and it was pretty amazing. This is my sister in law's second kid and she said being able to have these pictures and videos was well worth the money. I plan on taking advantage of this service when it's my turn.

I have been driving approximately 2-2.5 hours each way from Omaha, Nebraska to this clinic for months. I've never had a problem with anyone in the office, always paid my bills, followed their recommendations, and have been a loyal patient. Last week, I missed an appointment because I was sick. Since the office is closed on Fridays and weekends, I called first thing Monday morning and explained the situation. I told them I was already on my way and simply wanted to know if there was any chance I could be worked in. I made it clear that I understood I did not have an appointment and was willing to wait in my vehicle for hours if necessary in case an opening became available. The front desk informed me that they could not guarantee I would be seen. I said I understood and asked if the doctor could call me back. When I arrived at the clinic, I was stunned to find police officers waiting for me. I was then informed that I was banned from the practice. I never threatened anyone. I never raised my voice. I never caused a disturbance. I never demanded treatment. I simply drove to the office and asked if there was any possibility of being worked in after missing an appointment because I was sick. After months of traveling hundreds of miles, spending thousands of dollars, and supporting this practice, being met by police officers and permanently banned was one of the most bizarre and humiliating experiences I have ever had as a customer of any business. If this is how a long-term patient is treated for asking to be worked in, prospective patients should be aware before choosing this clinic.
