It's like searching for a needle in a haystack. But rest assured, you are in the right hands. This space and staff are exceptionally caring, warm, and inviting. Their online portal is innovative and makes scheduling and payments a breeze. Specifically, my family saw Scott Wallace and cannot recommend him enough. Don't let his youthful appearance fool you, his ability to empathize and hold space for your trauma far exceed the years of technical experience he has. He works diligently to provide you with a therapy approach that is going to work specifically for you. I cannot say enough about his grace, patience, and steadfastness throughout our therapy journey. He always went above and beyond to accommodate my family's needs. It is important to note that this is a Christian-based office. When I mentioned scheduling elsewhere with a female provider, I was advised that I could no longer see the provider I was scheduled with at this clinic, and would need to pay $200 for canceling my appointment that they made me cancel because I was uncomfortable. The receptionists are very rude and unprofessional. Once you mention going somewhere other than to their clinic, they treat you terrible. I would advise going LITERALLY anywhere else.

I decided to switch to a dr in Des Moines after being with a fantastic dr in Ames's but I made a…read moremistake by choosing this clinic. I went for medicine management. I did not feel listened to. The second time I saw Brian, his shirt was inappropriately unbuttoned and untucked, he seemed hungover maybe (?) and the final straw on the camels back was that he got my doses incorrect. He read my medications out loud and the doses he had were totally incorrect. I corrected him but when I recently went to pick up one of the meds, the dose was way off! What should have been 10mg was 25mg!!! The front desk staff is friendly and really easy to work and schedule with. I chose this clinic because of their hours but I will not be going back. I have found a different dr in DM who is an MD. Maybe Brian is good for one or two meds but if you're case is more complex, I do not recommend. I cannot speak for the therapy staff.

After complaining several times we learned that she left due to conflicts with staff and apparently it's a common occurrence, Des Moines is a small city and here we are ! she is not engaging, not prepared and is by no means an expert in any type of mental health treatment, what a joke!
