For scheduling, insurance and payments, the "Patient Experience Coordinator" was unfriendly and abrupt, making interactions uncomfortable. I regularly worked with two physical therapists at this location for 1-2 sessions per week for more than 6 months. During each one hour visit, I worked directly with the physical therapist for 30 minutes and was then turned over to a young trainee/student for exercises. The level of competence of the trainee varied widely. Some paid attention and offered clear direction and others handed out balls or bands and then walked off. After not progressing with my recovery, I left this Athletico and spent months under the care of physical therapists at a hospital affiliated office where the full 60 minute session is with the physical therapist only. The level of care and my recovery progress increased immediately. Something to note, my insurance covered physical therapy with the same copay at the Athletico location and at my new physical therapy office. The value of care provided couldn't have been farther apart.

I'm doing better in one month than others I know 6 months out who had been through the same surgery. Daniel, Jessica and the assistants have all been patient, professional and understanding. They offer a creatitive variety of exercises that can be challenging but not painfully so. Highly recommend this location.

Zach Fowler brought a very positive and accessible energy to his guidance. He seemed to grasp the extent of my injury and what my body needed to heal very quickly, and continued to work with me to understand and guide the work along the way. He seemed very skilled in sensing the mobility and pain-limits of my joints & muscles, and was great at asking the right questions and working with me to hone in on problem areas. He seems sincerely dedicated to the welfare of his clients, above and beyond what the job requires. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

The physical therapist I worked with was Nathan DeBlauw, PT, DPT, I owe him a huge debt of gratitude. There wasn't a day I left my session without noticing improvement in the use of my leg. One day I realized I was walking with a normal gait, my left knee was bending while I walked; another time when I was in my car, I realized I hadn't needed to lift my left leg into the car with my hands. Nate not only helped me develop stronger muscles in my leg, but also helped me improve my balance. When patients / clients are done using a piece of equipment, it is wiped down right away, there was a conscious effort shown for keeping everything in the area sanitized and immaculately clean. Alex is at the front desk he is helpful and always welcomes people with a friendly greeting. It is obvious all the staff working there enjoy their work. Two weeks ago today I had my last physical therapy session with Nate, the first day I went Rush Physical Therapy in Rogers Park I went in with a painful, stiff knee. I took Nate's advice and have been doing exercises at home to improve strength and balance. Yesterday I was able to walk just over 10,000 steps!!!I I don't have words to fully express my appreciation, but here how I rate my experience: AAAAA++++++.

They delay processing the bill so you don't catch on until you've run up a huge bill. They charged over 10k to my insurance company for 8 sessions over one month. They don't fix your problem and want you coming back for as long as possible. They did not tell me what the cost would be up front and once the charges came through, my portion of the bill was over $700 dollars. Some of the charges for one day of therapy was over $1000. They set you up with appointments for weeks and when you cancel, some of the biggest bills where the last two appointments. All I had done was dry needling and they helped me with exercises. The needling didn't help and the exercises made my injury worse. The staff is nice enough but that's because they want you coming back. Talk like they know what they are doing but really have no clue. They dance around your problem and never cure it. I started feeling better when they stopped the torture. I am disputing the charges and contemplating filing a complaint with the Illinois Insurance commission. This is what's wrong with our health care system. These companies that charge astronomical amounts and pass it on to the insurance companies while customers don't look at what they are being charged and just pay the copay. Meanwhile our insurance rates keep rising along with the cost of healthcare. They told me this was in network with my insurance company while hiding the true charges until the bill comes weeks later. They are affiliated with Saint Francis Hospital Then St Francis hospital starts harassing you with endless calls for payment even before you receive a bill. Don't use the company. No wonder they popped up in every neighborhood. They must be making a huge profit from ripping off customers while using deceptive accounting practices.

Robert Mazalewski, PA exhibits the most ignorant, impatient, unwavering arrogance that appears to be adopted by the aforementioned male associate. The facts are clearly established as, their rating is indicative of the quality of, and their attention to, patient care, "the office experience" & accuracy of service. Do yourself a favor, and don't waste your time. You will be better served as this location lacks the capacity, competence and credibility to serve the diversity of the community in which it is centrally located. I was inconvenienced to return and wait an hour, standing in the waiting area as Robert Mazalewski, PA, lacked the intelligence or expertise needed to accurately input my name & address as shown on my State Of Illinois Drivers License. He failed three times to enter the information accurately. An administrative mistake (a typographical error), which could have been easily avoided, had he checked his work. Taken the limited effort to dedicate a couple minutes to check his work. I was 1of3 other "patient customers" to have some "issue" to occur as I waited and others were made to take time out of their day, to return and address the rude, time-robbing "Gate Keeper" who, like the P.A., blamed the female staff who work within the Lab, for issues that clients experienced. No Ma'am! The issues are with you Sir's.
