I absolutely love the sandwiches here! Every time we are in the area we make a point of stopping here to enjoy the deliciousness of the handmade sandwiches ! The staff is so nice and the side products-drinks and chips are all authentic Italian/European and so delicious. Try the truffle chips with your sandwich!
Hubby and I arrived right when they opened so the service was def prompt, although lacking a welcoming smile to their first customers of the day. The interior was clean and ready for arriving customers. The menu was short and looked right up our alley. We ordered the Morta and the Crudo sandwiches to share. They both had good flavor, although we both favored the Morta because of the addition of the hot honey. If the hot honey hadn't been on the sandwich, I think it would have been pretty average in flavor. Hubby was way less pleased with the sandwiches than I was at first. He felt that there was far too little meat on the sandwiches compared to the amount of cheese, which threw off the ratio. For $16 per sandwich, I had to agree that was true. The flavors were good but nothing that would make us come back in spite of the lack of the right ratio of meat to cheese along with the other ingredients. I would advise paying the up charge for extra meat (that in our opinion should be included in the $16 sandwich in the first place). Not bad, not great.
I feel like Merenda came out of nowhere. I think they are really about a year old at this point, but I only recently discovered them when I was up in Newberg and searching for a quick grab and go lunch. They are located in Dundee across the street from Red Mills Market, and neighbors to Fratelli Wine Bar so you could make a little afternoon of it exploring these fun spots. They have a good amount of space in their parking lot, but if it does fill (which can happen on the weekends), there is plenty of parking along the road. There is some seating inside and out, all pretty casual, but nice to have the option. I've only ever ordered to go, but they are quick and typically have sandwiches ready in 5-15 minutes (the latter only at their busiest times). Their menu is tight with two salad options, five sandwiches, and a couple coffees/teas. Also worth mentioning the gigantic brown butter chocolate chip cookie and delectable sounding gelato (pistachio, stracciatella...moo crunch?!). I have had probably half the menu items at this point, and all are good, but my favorites are the #1 sandwich, Morta along with the ceci salad (and cookie, obviously). Since they are so quick, don't waste time while you are waiting on your order, and make sure to peruse their fun snacks, soft drinks, and merch. The Torres potato chips are where it's at, and while I've resisted temptation thus far, I really want to get my hands on the Sockerbit gummies. Once you do receive your order, you will be swooning over the adorable presentation. I know you're thinking "t's just sandwiches," but they make them feel special from the paper wraps with the cute Merenda tape, to the red and white picnic check napkins. I generally venture up there only once a month or so, but Merenda has become a strong contender for favorite lunch spot in the area. Oh, and I always forget, but you can order online too!
This was the perfect stop to grab a lunch to bring along for a long day of wine tasting. I got the prosciutto sandwich and it was to die for. Creamy cheese, veggies, and prosciutto. The bread was soft but still had some bite to it. I also got the truffle chips which were such a fun change compared to the regular chips you see. We ordered online and process was smooth. Employees were helpful and friendly. It didn't fit in with my wine tasting but I was intrigued by their pistachio cold foam matcha.
I had just arrived in town after a long flight and was a bit of a very late lunch so very hungry, maybe even hangry. Looked up reviews and that lead us here- thank goodness, it was really delicious! Service was ok, sub par friendliness, took our order at the counter and brought the food when ready. It's a rather small place and no one else there likely because it was late for lunch hour. The sandwich was really fresh, nice ingredients and plentiful, warm from being pressed which also provided a great crusty exterior. Really yummy! I would go back if in the area.
Hot Italian sandwiches?! Yes please! These are made fresh and delicious. The menu is simple. They were out of some ingredients when I went but it still worked out. I ordered the #4. They stack it generously with meat and the perfect amount of greens and cheese. They ran out of mozzarella so they gave us burrata instead. The sandwich was still delicious! Service is fast and friendly. They do have some chips as a side option and a cooler with beverages. Can't wait to come back and try more sandwiches! They have rewards so don't forget to get a stamp card. Your 10th sandwich is free!!!
Second time getting the yummy Orto roasted veggie panini. Its a big sandwich, enough to share, on great focaccia with the perfect blend of sauce, cheese and veggies. They have a menu with only 5 sandwiches - the other 4 are meaty if you are into that.
I am in love with this cute little Italian deli. The feel is clean and minimalist. The large windows allow for a lot of natural light which makes it feel warm and inviting. The staff are informative and friendly. We chose a Morta sandwich -MORTADELLA, BURRATA, ROCKET, PESTO, HOT HONEY. The flavors of this sandwich are well thought out. I could taste each ingredient individually and perfectly. The hot honey gave it a slight spice which downplayed the arugula. The bread was soft and delicious and held this juicy sandwich together expertly. I will be craving this sandwich on the regular. They also have fun drinks in the cooler you can purchase. I chose a lavender lemon balm sparkling water.
Really good sandwiches, really good vibes. My partner and I split the cotto and the morta on gluten free bread both were delicious. My parents got the pollo and salami on regular bread and said they were also delicious. Whatever gluten free bread they use is excellent. Will be back for sure

Directly on the way to Lincoln City from Portland, this cafe was one of the most incredible gems to stumble across on en route to the coast. Everything is made with love, care, and finessed excellence. From the delectably flavorful, lightly toasted crunch of the caprese sandwich to the nutty yet light and buzzing house-made cold brew with pistachio cold foam, this beautiful little cafe is absolutely worth the pitstop (or just making the trip to go for just the food itself). Service is quick and thoughtful, ambiance is charming and feels like we're in Italy! I look forward to stopping by each time I'm on the way to the Oregon Coast. read more
It's a nice clean and cute little deli. Ready to serve and build your sandwich. They also offer soft serve. A nice stop on wine country without having to over do it at a restaurant with the wine country tax. Great sandwiches expect a little wait as they are all made to order. Are you waiting in a long line at Redhills Market?? Why?! That's the predicament we found ourselves in today and instead decided to opt for walking across the street to try out Merenda. Wow! I did not expect absolute perfection in a sandwich. My husband and I split the Morta and we were both savoring each bite commenting on everything - the bread, the cheese, the slightly hot honey- it was delicious. The branding and design inside the shop was so quaint and fun. My only hope is that someday they will be able to expand their patio with maybe a pergola and vines.... That would knock it out of the park. We took home their cookie and it was brilliant! What a great spot to have discovered! read more

SO good- super fresh ingredients, fantastic bread. We got the Morta and the Crudo- both were stand-out. To note, my gluten-free friends got the gf bread and said it was very good too. Will definitely come back! read more
