I really wanted to share a picture of my food but I had to dig in as soon as it arrived! It was spectacular. I haven't had good Mediterranean like this since I was living abroad. The owner is amazingly sweet and does a great job of handling the crowd. The restaurant is definitely on the casual side and there is seating for about 10 people inside. The prices are very fair (less than $10 a person). I got the beef gyro wrap with a side of rice and my fiance got the chicken wrap. The rice was delicious and you can tell it had been slow cooked for some time. It was packed with flavor! My beef wrap was also delicious. The beef was well seasoned, I loved all of the fresh veggies and garlic sauce. My fiance's ordered the chicken wrap spicy and while it had some heat, it wasn't too spicy. If you ever come here order this dish and extra rice, bc after eating this dish you will want to eat more of the rice. So much flavor to the rice. The rice tasted like Indian fries rice but with a kick of Shawarma flavor but so much better. Just thinking about this makes me want to have more of it right now. This is a MUST HAVE DISH HERE!!. Overall, the taste was good, but there were some minor quirks not related to the food. It doesn't open until 12PM, it's closed on Sundays & Mondays, and the number of parking spaces and room to maneuver cars in the parking lot are inadequate. Due to COVID, the server (owner?) takes your order outside and then goes back in, locks the door, and prepares the food. It looked like a one-person operation. So, if she's in the middle of preparing an order or doesn't see you at the door, you might have to wait a few minutes before she pops back out again. The seating is limited and it's all outside for now. There is a retractable awning that provides shade for sunny days. I ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich ($8.99). It was a satisfying one-footer (size matters!) pita rolled with hot steamy roasted chicken drizzled with some delicious spiced creamy sauce. I liked how she crisped the pita in a panini press! It would have been better if the filling had more lettuce, tomato, and other things that they usually put in a shawarma (turnip pickles, onion slices, tahini, banana pepper, +/- harissa paste, etc.), but perhaps this was the Eritrean version? Anyways, I enjoyed it for what it was. Looking a couple tables over, however, I noticed that each lady ordered the shawarma salad ($8.99), not the shawarma plate ($10.99), which looked like a better deal than my sandwich, except that they did not have pita. Their salads had more lettuce and looked more filling yet had the same amount of meat! Maybe I'll increase my fiber intake next time by ordering the salad for what would be the same price as a sandwich! read more

You have choice of chicken over French fries (goodness yes!) or rice. Piled on top (of fries or rice) are chunks of tender, juicy chicken pieces smothered with garlic sauce and topped off with a spicy sauce. You can get the "spicy" on the side but wow, get your taste buds ready either way. Also, a side of salad comes with the plate. Today, I ordered two chicken shawarma wraps. One for immediate consumption and another for later. The wrap has chicken pieces, lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers, garlic sauce, as well as, the spicy sauce all wrapped in a wheat pita. The wrap was pretty huge and could not be held together with the pita, it started to fall apart. It was AMAZING. Great little local place for Mediterranean and Halal foods. The owner runs the place by herself and is always friendly. She actually recommended me to order by phone then pick up because since she's by herself, it can get backed up quickly. I was referred by a friend to this little Gem in Clarkston, and I have since referred it to others. The brightly painted exterior is your first hint that you have just found something special.
