Service was good, and the ambiance was clean and spacious. We ordered the boneless lamb kebab and chicken biryani. Serving size is HUGE so we had some to take home after. I really enjoyed the flavors here. Nothing was overly salty which was good! And the meat had good amounts of spice. I would come here again.

I've only ever been to one other Afghani restaurant so since we were next door at a collectibles store at around lunch time, we decided to try this place out. The food was amazing! The staff were friendly and provided great service. They clearly tried to do the best in terms of decor that they could with a strip mall building and probably a pretty limited budget. But did I mention the food was amazing? The chicken biryani was on the spicy side, but we loved that. No veggies in this version: just rice, lots of spices and some of the best chicken thighs I've ever had. The meat was cooked perfectly, literally falling off the bones. It was tender and very flavorful. But even with that, the rice itself was the star of this dish, due to the delicate and very flavorful seasoning. The chicken tikka kababs were also excellent. Huge chunks of perfectly cooked white meat chicken breasts in this case. They were also seasoned very well and had that flavor you get when you cook something on a charcoal grill in your backyard or at a park someplace. Literally comfort food Afghani style! They were served off the skewer on top of Afghan bread along with some onions. Prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes. A really varied crowd of customers, proving that everybody loves great food! Highly recommended.

Ambience was excellent . Food was ok. My son chose wrong item from menu ( didn't read the description) - burger and complained about the fries in the sandwich Kobaidah was good but felt dry with just the naan

Firstly, ignore the location. It's in a somewhat tired but tidy old Stone Mtn/Memorial Dr strip center. Tons of parking. Clean. The interior is clean and ready for big parties. The one gentleman who was in the front was great. Knew his menu and easily answered questions. The menu. Oh my. So amazing. We had 8 people and everyone loved their food. The rice dishes were amazing. The kabobs were amazing. The naan was tasty. Portions are generous. And definitely try the hot sauces. The green sauce is my new obsession. Seriously go!

I am very surprised this hidden gem isn't even on Yelp yet! We tried only one platter because we were unsure of how great this place was going to be! Chicken Tikka - $13.99 The tikka kabob was delicious, savory, tender, and fresh. It's your general Afghani fare with saffron and sumac. It came on top of Afgani style bread which is thicker than say Sangak. They also give a salad of cucumbers, tomatoes on the side along with a yogurt based sauce and red hot sauce The owner was nice and surprised us with the Qubali Pulao and it was very delicious and fresh. It comes with carrots, raisins and was not heavy with ghee. There are 2 delicious spices on the table one is sumac and the other a brown looking type seasoning. This tasted amazing on the rice If you're a hookah lover there is an outdoor seating / patio area and looks like there's events or celebrations possible inside bc the dang disco lights kept shining in our faces lol. The chairs look nice and elegant. This is definitely a place we would visit time and time again

HOK was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, service was friendly and the portions are HUGE. I didn't even finish a quarter of my food. I order the lamb shank and it was so big and overflowing with delicious rice. The tomato, cucumber and onion salad was so fresh! I will definitely be back!!

Best customer service best fresh food and best quality of food loved , come here to pick up food and they offer me free afghani shir yakh

    Uzbeki pulao

Straight up AMAZING. My coworker and I got the uzbeki pulao and were floored by the AMAZING flavors. The meat was crazy tender. The rice was next level fluffy, fragrant, and delicious. I'm on a low carb diet so I was fighting my taste buds not to eat the whole thing for lunch. And I'm happy about that now because now I get to have it for dinner too. . COME HERE ASAP

Fresh grown gardens surround the eatery where you can witness where your veggies are coming from :) Absolutely organic and the flavor says it all. I entered and the cozy old school music playing faintly in the background made me feel at home in "Ma Mas" kitchen and the place was OCD clean. Staff of older experts warmly greeted me which one turned out to be "Chef K" herself from the food network #Surprised me :) We went over the well prepared Menu as the place filled instantly as I sat down. I was finally a happy camper in "Stone Mountain Village" food scene I had the fried green tomatoes and Salmon Crockets Made from scratch (OMG) NO canned salmon either culinary prepared from whole salmon Those flavors fermented in my mouth and I was a happy camper ate good Great to be totally be pleased with spending your money for great food prepared with LOVE! Every single dish came out intentional, balanced, and full of flavor -- the kind of food that makes you slow down and appreciate each bite. Some highlights from our visit: Bread Basket -- warm focaccia with EVOO, balsamic, house dipping oil, and whipped ricotta (absolutely dangerous) Crab Stuffed Mushrooms -- rich, delicate, finished with a lemon butter drizzle Braciola -- parmesan breadcrumb filling, red sauce, served with focaccia Beet Carpaccio -- roasted beets, goat cheese, candied walnuts, arugula -- the perfect mix of sweet, earthy, and fresh Fried Tortellini -- cheese-filled with an nduja parmesan sauce that had serious depth Italian Spring Rolls -- pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella, peppers & onions -- unexpectedly incredible Even though we focused on starters, nothing felt small or secondary. Each plate stood on its own and showcased the kitchen's attention to detail and flavor. The drinks were immaculate -- balanced, smooth, and thoughtfully crafted. Yes, the plates looked like they came from Dollar Tree (no judgment, lol), but when the food is this good, that becomes part of the charm instead of a flaw. I'm already looking forward to going back. Fresca Trattoria is one of those places that reminds you why dining out can still be special.

Everyone was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. The food was absolutely amazing, truly 5-stars quality across the board. The smoked filet was phenomenal, and the craft cocktails, white sangria, and wine selection were all excellent. Even though there wasn't a children's menu, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our kids were taken care of. The chef even prepared special dishes just for them, which we truly appreciated. I can't say enough about how thoughtful and accommodating the entire team was. However it appears to be Family run with close friends and their kids. The Staff is not very attentive, one bartender so long waits or missed over waiting to place a drink and food order No one's really educated on the menu when asked a question about the food items. They just slide a menu in front of you as a gesture - you read it if you want to know. I can't see the small print on these menus to save my life lol I invited a industry colleague for a business dinner Ok, food review they offer an oxtail protein in the collard greens "Yummy" however I didn't find oxtail in the collard greens anywhere. My guest ordered some cwing dinner that looked like a contraption. As far as the presentation was delivered. I decided on a liquid diet after seeing the food delivery Next week I personally stopped in-for lunch wanted to give this place a chance to rebound and my full attention on a fair review. I wanted to also make sure management was there. An older caucasian woman greets me well we have a cordial conversation about my previous experience and my embarrassment at such a nice looking restaurant She was unable to believe this happened at her restaurant. Just plain disbelief and raved about the kitchen and pride that goes into her food to later having to eat those words Again, limited menu what is up with the 4-5 items to chose from. I donot eat steak fries So I just ordered the burger - medium well - not burned and it had no venison mixed or blended meat added The burger came out with old brown tarnished lettuce I sent it back for fresh lettuce . She brought it back they added thousand island dressing when I specially asked for mayo on the side which was also provided. What is going on in the kitchen I took a bittersweet bite anyways and spat it out. Took my utensils which looks like a switch blade in a fairly nice restaurant. bad esthetics decisions I knifed out The center of the uncooked raw meat of the burger and waited patiently for the nice lady to find her way back over to me I offered to just pay and leave. She ask what was the problem . I uncovered the burger and allowed her to witness fir herself Her face turned beet red and quickly said no charge and stormed off to her kitchen where I am sure like "The Oak" there was a Waffle House griller reject acting as a chef " Pictures attached : I can't make my Experiences UP! #SMH you just can't get what you pay for anywhere these days Me being a restaurant consultants.
