Imaginative pastries that could get 5 stars if done properly. Problem is, they all just taste like pastry. I had a nutella cannoli and instead of tasting like nutella, it tasted like a regular cannoli. Not a great cannoli either with that gritty, cheesy mascarpone, just your average sweet one. If they were priced more reasonably I may have returned them a star, but I don't see myself coming back. read more

I've just found the best bakery in town! This past weekend I stopped in to order a birthday cake even though I had no prior experience with this bakery. I have to say from the moment I walked in I was pleased. The cake decorator chatted with me to be sure she got exactly what I was looking for and I was extremely pleased with the cake when I picked it up the following day. The cake was delicious, moist, and everyone raved at how awesome the cake looked and tasted. It met my expectations 100%. The pastries looked delicious - a full case of every type imaginable. Had I not purchased a cake for the occasion I would have selected some of the delicious looking goodies available. I will definitely be back to try more. read more

Went in today - all the way from Bridgeport - to get some cannoli dip. Had to order it in advance - fine, but the man in the back was so rude. I felt terrible for the girl that was waiting on us. We had some questions regarding sizes and prices and all he did was yell at the poor girl. My friend finally asked if he was interested in making a sale since he couldn't be bothered to come out and speak to us. The girl just made excuses for him but she was terribly embarrassed. Walked in the door excited but left totally disappointed!! Not very good at customer service that's for sure. :-( read more

Cannolis are the best I've ever had and I've them all over the world. They recently did a birthday cake and cookies for a private party and it was absolutely delicious. The employee Chris behind the counter was very personable and I believe he drives the cannoli truck as well. He made the experience at the bakery phenomenal for my kids. read more

Great experience here. After seeing the cannoli truck at events I was delighted to find that this was their shop. Brought the kids one Sunday morning for some of the best, freshly made donuts we've ever had. Everything in the shop looked delicious and they make it right there. Including a huge variety of canolis! They make donuts on the weekends - opens at 9 on Saturday's, 8am on Sunday's! read more

I went there recently in the morning and upon asking if the rolls were fresh, the person said yes. Unfortunately i took her word for it. When i got home the rolls were as hard as a rock. I definitely would not reccomend. read more

Meriano's has fantastic baked goods. We picked up some fresh made bread. Very nice, perfectly crusty on the outside, wonderfully soft on the inside. I recommend the brownie sandwiches, they go perfectly with a glass of milk. Picked up an eclair for the first time and they are fantastic. The choux they make is everything. Tiramisue is classic, original, and perfectly not over sweet like most bakeries do. read more

Well I'm from Long Island New York so you can't get Italian pastries and other desserts like you've gotten there so far. But Mariano's is very good. I love rainbow cookies there's are I would say an 8 out of 10. For the holidays I definitely call in advance & order them to make sure I get them. I honey balls however theirs I don't particularly care for so I have a recipe they're a daunting process to make but I'll have to learn. They do have delicious cannolis lots of different flavors like the cookies n cream, PB, Chocolate ,raspberry etc. They have many pastries and seasonal ones most have choice flavoring of custard, vanilla / chocolate pudding or whipped cream. They also have delicious cheesecake individual cheesecake plain w/w out whipped cream or blackforest my fave. I could go on all day. Mix of Italian cookies, large cookies + loaves Italian bread, rye bread etc. They also make a ton of stuffed bread. During Easter time they have the ham pie that you can buy a half or a whole day usually have some daily you can also pre-order. On a daily basis have a variety of cakes & cheese cheese cakes. + can pre-order round, 1/2 sheet, sheet custom cakes. Decent $ a lot of items are sold individually. Say they have a cannoli truck but not sure when it goes out I know you can rent it out. Closed on Mondays. You think if I move to Madison on Boston Post Road on the south side of street. read more

If you love cannoli you have to try Meriano's. I have never been disappointed. They have a bunch of different flavors and combos. The peanut butter filled cannoli is a family favorite, and the pumpkin in the fall is good as well. Highly recommend them :) read more

We ordered $125 worth of pastries. Gave them less than an hour to prep the order. Every item was well baked, presented thoughtfully, and tasted delicious. No bakery is perfect, and everyone always has personal preferences. Our 3 trays were really well received by our client. The old-world attention to detail, to high-quality ingredients, and presentation comes through in their product. You can expect good quality and a lot of hard work. I've been going to Meriano's for years. They have the BEST cannoli in the entire state, hands down! If you know good cannoli filling, you have to agree, If you don't agree, you don't know good. We have gotten cakes from them for every occasion. They are always beautiful and delicious. You must try their whoopie pies! They're huge and so tasty. Meriano's did my childrens wedding favors. Not since my grandmother was alive have we had such perfect anginetti cookies. Also, don't miss the peanutbutter balls. We would never go over the bridge to get our italian pastry. We have our gem right here in Guilford. It's a family run business and the family couldn't be nicer. Always friendly and accomodating.They make us feel welcome when we step into the front door. They've recently remodeled and the place is fresh and modern. Easy in and out of the plaza. No Hassles. All in all, we wouldn't go anywhere else. read more
