    Honey nut latte

Great staff- very knowledgeable with the menu and helpful. Their online menu was marked with gluten free labels but in person, it was not. They recommended if you have a serious gluten allergy to know the risk with the food of cross-contamination. I had the Mediterranean bowl and enjoyed the freshness and flavors. I wish it had a bit more chicken, hummus, and quinoa in it, since it was very heavy on the romaine lettuce. I also had the honey nut latte with less of the sweetener/ flavor pumps, which I recommend if you don't want it overly sweetened. The ambiance is light and airy.

This spot was absolutely stunning! It was giving a bit of a European feel. Very high end looking, but their prices were very very reasonable. I only had time to stop in for a coffee on the way to a wedding, but def wanna go back and try some of their baked goods. They looked amazing! The tiramisu latte was good. A lot of effort was put into making it and you can tell they take pride in everything handed to the customer. This is a must check out coffee shop in this area of CT---it checks off the boxes.

Fresh sandwiches, salads, bakery items and custom coffee drinks. We found our selections to be exactly what was advertised but pretty boring. Tomato soup was essentially hot blended tomatoes, no flavor, no spices (garlic, basil etc) Deviled egg toast was a huge portion but was also rather bland. Pastrami sandwhich was well prepared but the horseradish sauce was only on 1/2 of the sandwich. $30 for our meal with water to drink. So if you want a fresh, bland meal, this is the place. Service was very good and the place was very clean.

Newly open in Old Saybrook, I had the best experience at this Doro Marketplace location. Typically, the other locations are very busy and the only option is to grab coffee and food to-go. For once, we were able to enjoy our lunch and tea in this lovely new space because there wasn't a crowd, especially for Old Saybrook's busy tourist season. Doro has truly transformed the space into a bright, natural, welcoming oasis. Years ago, it was Old Saybrook Soup & Sandwich Co.--a place I dearly miss, but Doro is a great replacement! We were able to take our time looking at the menu and the staff were so nice. We enjoyed Doro's delicious bowl. I had The Market Bowl, added crispy spiced tofu, and a refreshing mango-passion fruit green tea. My mom got the Doro Bowl that she really enjoyed. Everything was fresh, tasty, and we left full. These were great quick health options, something Old Saybrook has lacked. I enjoyed my iced tea too, it wasn't sweet (how I like it) and hit the spot for a hot and humid summer day. Doro also had a great selection of baked goods like cookies, pastries, and cakes. Normally at the other locations it's slim pickings when we arrive. We had to bring some treats home, we got a the softest, humongous chocolate chip cookie, blueberry danish, Bavarian cream croissant, and an apple pastry. It was our first time trying Doro's baked goodies and did not disappoint. The chocolate chip cookie was my favorite. I can't wait to visit Doro again in Old Saybrook, looking forward to trying their breakfast, salads, sandwiches, and other teas and coffees.

Absolutely delicious baked goods, friendly service, and reasonable prices. They have a huge parking lot and spacious and bright dining area. I ordered take out and my order was ready on time at the counter for me to pick up. This was the perfect spot for me to stop to pick up goodies for the road!

The Doro of Old Saybrook is likely the most beautiful of their locations. With it's red brick exterior and large windows everywhere, it makes me think of a beach property. This Doro isn't by the beach, but Old Saybrook is a beach town. My favorite part is the sunroof. This is so beautiful. There are some unique chandeliers and other light reflectors. We ordered a Hot Chocolate, an Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte, a Cappuccino and a Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant. We also got a loaf of their in house made Multigrain bread and a Tuna Melt Toast. We sat outside on their patio. All of the drinks hit the spot. I particularly enjoyed my Pumpkin Spice Latte. It was sweet and cinnamony, with the right balance. It was unfortunate, the young man spilled the cappuccino by the time it had reached us. The Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant was warm, flaky with chocolate on top and some very melty Nutella in the center. The Tuna Melt Toast was a very generous portion. On multigrain toast, tuna, tomato slices and melted Swiss cheese. This was delicious and filling. We took a loaf of the bread home. We had a really nice time at the Doro of Old Saybrook.

Great atmosphere and menu options. I had the baklava cold brew speciality coffee and it was amazing. Lots of places to sit and a full menu, making it a perfect coffee shop/bakery/lunch spot. Loved the decor and the service!

For the Littles: The play area is bright, clean, and perfectly designed for toddlers and preschoolers to run wild (safely). Think padded climbing structures, sensory bins, soft slides, and imaginative play zones that rotate weekly -- my 3-year-old was deep in "construction site mode" while my 5-year-old served invisible ice cream from a pretend café. The staff gently supervise, which meant I wasn't on constant edge. For the Grown-Ups: While my kids happily socialized, I kicked back with a hot Teddy Gram Latte -- graham cracker, cinnamon, and nostalgia in a cup. Absolutely out of this world. I even had time for a couple rounds of Uno and Connect 4 with other parents at the communal board game table. It's the first time I've laughed mid-day in a café without needing to apologize for spilled apple juice. Ambience & Cleanliness: Modern, cozy, and spotless. Everything from the check-in system to the foam flooring feels thoughtfully designed. No sticky tables or chaotic energy here -- just calm, comfort, and the hum of happy children. Final Word: Peek A Brew | Playcafe might be the parenting holy grail: your kids play and socialize while you sip great coffee and finally finish a game of Uno. We'll be back weekly -- and I'm telling every parent I know.

It looks cute from the outside, but looks like it could use a little refreshment both inside and outside. The outside screen door is hanging by a thread. The man working inside appeared to be the owner. And he was the only one I saw working. There was a woman in front of me, who was waiting for her order. Then it was my turn, I walked up to the counter to place my order, and he immediately said "do you know what you want? I'll take him instead." Referring to a customer sitting down. I just walked over, I wasn't hanging out. I'd say that's a bit uninviting and off putting. I quickly ordered a French Vanilla ice coffee, a hot coffee and an ice tea. There is an area where you can add what you need to your coffee. At the counter there is a sign that says to step away after you make your order. We got our coffees and sat outside. These were actually 20 ounce coffees for $10.00 altogether, so it was a real bargain. My coffee was perfect, flavorful, fresh and delicious! He truly makes excellent coffee here. I didn't like how off putting he was. Starbucks is just a few doors away. I'd much rather support a small business like this one then a chain like Starbucks. Coffee is excellent, I can't speak for the breakfast, there's plenty of room for improvement for the establishment and the vibe inside.

I'm guessing from some limited information that the at least some of the owners are the same, but I don't really know. In any event, the new space is bigger inside. Meaning you can actually walk inside now. There is still significant outside seating. They also seem to serve some limited non-dessert food. Like the day I was there, they had lobster rolls and hot dogs. There isn't any reason why I would change my prior review score. Service was friendly. They have 33ish flavors of hard ice cream. I had a hard time picking a flavor because I was looking for something different, but the flavors seemed fairly standard. I ultimately ordered a sugar cone with a scoop of key lime pie ice cream. They asked if I wanted any toppings, and I asked for a single Blue Raspberry Sour Patch Kid on top because I thought it would look cool. The ice cream flavor was good. It had like a pie crust swirl which added some contrasting flavor and texture.

The kid working there had his hands full with a long line, working solo but didn't skip a beat. The thing this place gets right where most ice cream shops get wrong, is the bright digital menu signs mounted up high. You can actually stand in line and see what they have. Other shops you don't know what they have until you get up to the register, thus causing delays and indecisiveness. I dislike the ice cream sample tasting though. This should be banned. It's only ice cream, take a chance. When there are 15 people in line, the rest of us don't have the patience for you to sample a flavor and think about it before committing to buying a 1-scoop cup. Ok my rant is done, but Fenwick's is a great place with great ice cream.
