Do not move here unless you want to waste your money and peace of mind. This has been one of the worst living experiences I've ever had. From day one, my car was towed and held for weeks. Homeless people regularly sleep in the parking lot and right outside the gym doors. The gate system is a complete joke, they "fix" it every few months, but the gate keys don't work, and if you come home after office hours, you're probably not getting in. Mind you, you'll probably be paying $60-80 a month for parking you can't even access. Eventually, they just leave the gate open, which only adds to the safety concerns. The trash valet system is unreliable, they change pickup times without notice, and then issue violations. The office staff is rude, unhelpful, and completely dismissive, especially one girl with brown hair who works the front; she's always rude and has a constant dirty look on her face like helping residents is a burden. I've had people leave notes on my car, packages have gone missing, and I've had strangers knocking and messing with my door at 4-5 AM. When I asked about having my parents' dog visit for one weekend, I was told I'd have to pay a $500 deposit, half of which is non-refundable. They even charge residents for a $100-200 DirectTV package that I haven't used once. I read the one-star reviews and thought maybe they were just isolated experiences, they're not. Save yourself the headache. If you plan on moving here, give it a few months before you regret it. read more

Please choose a property that is not managed by Greystar. There are multiple class action lawsuits in at least 3 states that are either pending or have been settled for millions of dollars because of junk fees, the undisclosed additional fees associated with leases, improper fee and eviction practices, and lease application fees. Communication with Greystar is an exercise in futility. Repair tickets are not completed in a timely manner. Updates regarding repair status is nonexistent. Appointment times are missed with no communication. Attempts to contact management are either responded to after a lengthy delay or are outright ignored. One of the amenity features is the gated property entry, but the gates do not work, and have barely worked in the 5 years I have been a resident. Due to this, the property is open to non-resident access. Cars get broken into. Residents have come outside to find people attempting to get into their vehicles. Residents are charged for this amenity, however. Residents are also charged for amenities regardless of their operational status. Please be aware that if you do choose to complete an application, the lease amount for the unit is approximately $200 or more less than what you will actually be charged. Fees for valet trash, tv/internet package, and a billing generation fee are just some of the costs they fail to disclose to applicants. (Yes, they opt to use a third-party billing service, and then they charge residents for the fees.) You are not allowed to opt out of these, so if you do not use the valet trash service or the tv package, you will still be charged. You will also be charged for a parking space as it is not included in the rent. If you have the option to lease somewhere else, please take that option. read more

First time living in apartment and I want to start off by saying the apartment wasn't bad it's a good space and loved the windows! Although the office staff were horrible the old manager, the new manager Laura & I believe the assistant manager Mikaela. Front desk staff were always nice Peter was always amazing! First year we moved in we looked at what had to be fixed we wrote it on the paper they gave us and maintenance guys didn't come fix it until a YEAR LATER ! Packages always went missing. Alot of homeless coming in the building leaving their belongings, doors always broken, gates were also always broken, and permit parking for guest even though you pay they will still tow your car! Mikaela always rolled her eyes and made faces at you whenever you asked her something and the manager on her computer not even acknowledging you asking her something. They don't explain anything good !! Always trying to charge you for everything!! Don't expect your deposit back because even though you clean the apartment, and the blinds are in good condition they will replace them and charge plus still tell you "you have a remaining balance" this was my experience. read more

The management has gone downhill over the past year, they don't do anything to fix any issues. It's not a gated community because one resident has ran into the gate a few times and it has been wide open for the past 5 months, allowing homeless from walking through the place as they like. I was bit on the leg by a homeless person's dog unprovoked while they were using the community dog park (if you could call it a dog park) I asked several months ago what steps they were taking to fix the gate, I was told they were waiting for a vendor? It's been 4 months and the gate has never been fixed. There are homeless people sneaking and breaking into the buildings all the time. One just yanked open the door right in front of me without using the key fob, so there's zero security here. Homeless people were camping in the clubhouse just last week. They've also shut off the power from outside one morning just by flipping a switch? The corner door's hinge in building B has been broken for 6 months and the one time they tried to fix it was slapping on a cheap hinge from the hardware store aces the street, which snapped in half after three days. I was told they were working in that too but it's been 5 months and the door will hang open or not shut all the way. A resident lit their couch on fire cause they were drugged out, the fire alarm went off and sprinkler system flooded the fourth floor in A building. The gym machines are crap, treadmills will just stop suddenly. One elliptical had been of its track for the two years I've lived here. The soon bikes are falling apart. I've requested a few times to have these things fixed but for two years, the gym equipment has not been touched by management. Now Every time I go to management to bring something up, I've developed a bit of annoyance with them for not taking any action, they now just dismiss me and tell me to have a great day. If you move here. You will NOT have a great day. Not a lot of lockers for packages, so if they're full, Amazon or whoever will leave them outside where homeless or residents can take them. read more

Haven't lived In this dump for over 6 months and I get an email saying I owe them 60$ and it's been turned into collections. No idea as to why, especially since I moved out a full month prior to my roommate. Gated community is a joke. Never locked the gates. People park in your spot that you pay for and you can't get them towed. Homeless everywhere in the complex. Gym is all mirrors with garbage equipment. God awful "dog" park. Please don't move here, I have had issues for the longest living here. The comments about all the dog poop are true, you can count on it being in your hallway for at least a day if not longer. They continue to up the rent without adding anything new or better since they've first furnished the building. Run away from this place. Seems like nice apartment but don't let that trick you. The AC didn't work for like 3 months until they got it fixed. They never offered any compensation or any sympathy at all. My dog almost had a heat stroke. The pool is always filled with people with loud music. They charge you for those facilities that you may never use but someone else did. And it's brutal. The gates are always broken. Parking is never enough. They charge you $4 per night for extra cars that you have per unit. Parking outside also not enough and not safe. If your car gets towed, it's $250 at minimum. I have lived in the Meridian Apartments for one year. I absolutely love it here. The office staff is always cheerful and eager to accommodate. Maintenance personnel have a wonderful attitude. Garbage is picked up every night outside my door Sunday through Thursday. The apartments are new and come with upscale stainless steel appliances and a stackable washer and dryer. Rooms are spacious. Access to so many restaurants on North Temple is wonderful. Apartment building is near TraX Station which I used to travel to and from Salt Lake City airport Location is amazing I can get on I 15, I 215 and I 80 within a couple of minutes with easy access to Sugar House, downtown, Westvalley etc. The amenities are wonderful: dog wash, pool, hot tub, clubhouse to host guests. Inside and outside large grill. Lock boxes to receive packages. Exercise room and nice equipment I have loved living here. read more

DO NOT LIVE HERE! Where do I even begin? I lived here for 2 years. I hated every minute of it. I didn't move out sooner because it was extremely close to my family, but I wish I hadn't stayed! -We didn't have internet the first two weeks. Was a simple fix that maintenance for some reason wouldn't come look at. Even though we called daily about it. -The blinds inside our balcony door were broken when we moved in and took 2 months to get fixed. -The pool is not maintained well, chlorine levels are always off so it's closed all the time. -The fire alarm in the hallway goes off NONSTOP. Literal loud ass beeping 24/7 until someone from the fire department comes to turn it off. This happened way more often than it should've. -Upstairs neighbor has dogs who bark all night long. They must work graveyard because why else are their dogs barking 1am-6am?? The office people were no help and asked us to "prove it". -The valet trash is a joke. People leave their trash in the halls when they aren't supposed to without consequence. The halls smell horrible all the time. -"Gated community" my ass! The gates are wide open 95% of the time because they break constantly. -Dog shit EVERYWHERE! I once found dog shit in the stairwell. -My parking pass snapped in half from being baked by the sun in my windshield for so long. They charged me $50 to replace it. Why don't they use a better material instead of cheap ass plastic?! -We had a small grill on our balcony, got an email to move it or we would be fined. Moved it that same day, next morning we had a violation on our front door. Even though we moved it! -Management is the worst. Least helpful people I've ever dealt with. DO NOT LIVE HERE! read more

RUN AWAY- I myself have worked in Property Management and I can honestly say they have zero follow through and consistency in maintaining this property here. Dog poop is EVERYWHERE- so if you have a dog and wanna walk them within the community, good luck keeping them from stepping in other dog poop. Peoples trash in the hallways at all hours of the day, no consistency when enforcing the valet trash rules. If you live in the apartment across the hallway from me you can have 5 bags of trash outside your apartment all weekend almost EVERY weekend and it doesn't matter how many times you tell the office to enforce the rules- a courteous phone call is about the most they'll do. Glad that apartment can do whatever they want and the rest of us have to live in their trash every time we walk into the hallway. Mind you- there's a pandemic happening and the last thing I wanna do is inhale your personal trash odors all day long- how is this not a health code violation? Also, if you're a single female- be aware that I encountered an aggressive drugged out homeless man playing with himself in the "secured" mailroom. When speaking to management they stated they only provide a courtesy patrol who isn't actually patrolling the community (i.e. driving through consistently, walking the community, etc.)- it's more of an on call type patrol lol the cops took 2 hours to show up and the "security" wasn't there until after I provided a statement and the man was apprehended. Homeless people should have to pay rent with how much they're inside our "gated" community. Oh yeah! I've lived here for almost 2 years now and the gates have worked maybe 5% of the time- the other 95% they're wide open for anyone to come in! So welcome all!! You wanna sleep inside our dumpster? Conduct your self pleasing activities inside our mailroom? Shoot up drugs in the corner of the parking lot?? Please come in! It's the residents responsibility to maintain the security of our own community by making sure the doors close behind us and not let anyone in who doesn't have a key fob- lets forget about the wide open gates and lack of actual security patrolling the community consistently. It's just the homeless trying to stay warm according to management- they're not doing shady drugs, touching themselves inside the secured building, and checking if your cars unlocked, etc. We have compassion here at Meridian! The residents run the show here and it's the ones that DONT follow the rules outlined in our lease that benefit most from living here because it's those of us who actually want to live in a clean, secure, and all around well maintained community that suffer. For what they charge you should go live somewhere in a nicer location maybe downtown? PS don't bother trying to call the corporate number either- it just hangs up on you when you press the extension you want to be connected with. I renewed my lease only because I was gone 90% of the time the first year and was unaware of the lack of management here- I will not be making that same mistake next year. Applied at the meridian back in april, they weren't very responsive. Forgot about them completely after they asked for paystubs and all that jazz to send over the welcome letter. I get a voicemail today on "move in today" from an tanner asking when I was moving in. Um, moving in? I haven't heard from y'all in months?? Where were these questions from April 20th-Now? Supposedly they sent an email on June 10th to confirm move in but I don't check emails. The rude leasing agent wanted to argue with me and say "now after two months you tell us your not moving in". I paid only an app fee. I never gave a security deposit and I never gave any of my paystubs, copy of ID, I didn't sign anything- but i believe tanner was his name, was so upset I'm not moving in.. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to move someone in without paystubs for approval and as a business wouldn't you have called in between especially if I didn't sign anything and only paid an app fee. Definitely look somewhere else, especially if you're looking for a place to call home. read more

Don't live here! It was hell from the day we moved in. There was a leak in the bathroom and water all over the floor. The management is very unhelpful and rude. You only get one parking spot, which you have to pay for, otherwise you have to park on the street which is very dangerous. The power went out three times in the two months we lived there. The dogs in the apartment above us sounded like elephants running across the floor and they continually barked. The walls would shake when they ran and they even caused a painting to fall off the wall and shatter. I have found dog poop in the hallway which stayed there for two days. It looks nice, but I would never recommend anyone to live here. read more

This place has subpar amenities. Everything breaks, the actual buildings smell like sewer due to the sewage backing up into each apartment unit and the management, including the maintenance office just asks that you pour cleaning supplies down the drain. No request is ever taken seriously here. The apartment manager seems nice but good luck ever getting a word in when you talk to her. All in all brand new apartment, decent location, shitty smell constantly, over talkative management, a security gate that is inoperable in over 8 months. Guarantee that you will see homeless people walk through your parking lot and touch your car. Tenants get accused of cigarette butts that aren't there's. Have lived here for a month. The apartments are nice, plenty of room in the kitchen, and the washer/dryer in the unit are a bonus. However - I wish I had never moved here. Don't expect your car to be safe as the back gate never works for more than a day, so it is just left open. I have been without power for over 10 hours, and it is a problem with the building not the power company. I was told by the "manager" that she was trying but can't seem to find an electrician to come out. Then she told me "you can find an electrician if you want". What? Beautiful apartments, but yes, expensive and MANY added fees. Biggest negative for this complex is NO PARKING. Each apartment is allotted ONE parking space INSIDE the gates (which rarely operate properly). And yes, this parking space is an EXTRA monthly charge. The management and office staff will explain that you or anyone visiting can park on Orange Street, but there isn't sufficient parking on the street either. The Dream Inn Motel, which is West of The Meridian, has started towing anyone parked on their side of Orange Street. I have emailed the manager of The Meridian, Jennica, a few times to complain about the whole parking situation and have NEVER received a reply. What's interesting is the two buildings that make up our apartment complex are no where near being full and there are MANY vacant spaces within the gated community. I live in a two bed/two bath with rent at the highest end of the scale and would gladly pay for another spot, but again, I have NEVER received a reply. I'm still trying to figure out why anyone would build apartments with absolutely no consideration for its residents real needs. I would rather have somewhere to park that is safe than a pool, hot tub, or clubhouse. Would not recommend this complex. read more

We've lived here almost a year and have had no issues. The office staff is super friendly and so is maintenance. As for some of the negative reviews on here, I don't know what they're talking about. Yes the pool is filled with people in summer, what do you expect? They have rules against playing loud music at the pool and I have personally seen office staff ask people to turn the music off. As for trash in the hallways, we have valet trash and strict rules about how long your trash can is allowed to remain in the hallway without incurring a fine. The Office staff have no control over residents not picking up after their pets but they have added strict fines for people who do not. They are really putting their best effort into running this apartment complex and it's much appreciated. They also have fun resident activities like a summer pool party and a Christmas paint party. The proximity to TRAX is awesome, we save a lot of money on gas. It's a great place to live! read more

This place is nice but after touring it had a smell like trash in the hallway. They offer a valet trash and there extra fees are crazy. Rent is 1045 but will come out to about 1,300 for everything.. amenity fee $135 and parking fee 35 I never used the amenities at my old place and they charge you here to us it even if you don't? read more

First off, I've lived here two weeks now and agree 100% with all of the people who gave this place 1 star. Parking is awful, trash is always full, and if I could I would post a picture of the numerous PILES of trash that is always next to the dumpster (which is all over the ground in the parking lot). The doors to get into building B don't always work. The gates never work. They say they fixed it, but we just had an issue with it not opening yesterday. When I asked two people in the office about this last weekend, their response was they've never had issues with the gate and that if we needed a new parking pass "it's only $25 to replace." Our parking pass works and we've only had it for a few weeks. Funny that they will lie right to your face. They only give one person per apartment a spot in the gated area. I asked if there was an option to pay monthly and of course there isn't. They want residents to pay for parking down the street at Diamonds parking (or whatever it's called) if there is no parking available on Orange St. (which is extremely limited). Dog crap is everywhere. This place just wants money, you'll see for yourself. It's disgusting, it stinks, some of the young weekend workers will lie straight to your face, and we can't wait to leave. read more
