Merindorf Meats is a local treasure. A friend recommended them to me and have never regretted following up on that. I'm usually hesitant to give a 5 star review as they're often viewed as suspect, but they deserve it. The meat is high quality and fresh. The prices might be a little higher than the chain stores, but what you're getting is superior in quality. Their coarse ground hot dogs are a revelation. Hands down the best hot dogs I've ever had. I made a gift of some to friends who live out of the area and am often asked if I could pick some up for them when planning a visit. My husband and I make atleast a monthly trip out to Mason Merindorf Meats (and spend much more than we should especially when hubby comes along...lol) to stock our freezer with ALL our beef, chicken, pork for the month. There is NO comparison anywhere else to the quality and taste. They "aim to please" with cutting and packaging to your liking. Their jerkey spread, jerkey, hunters sticks are like no other. I also want to point out the quality of products they carry in their deli are fantastic. You wouldnt think hard salami, colby jack cheese etc would "taste" different from different companies...well, they do. Merindorf quality is a cut above everyone else. There is a variety of different hams and turkeys to choose from to please everyone and so many frozen dinner foods that are high quality foods ready to defrost and serve. How does this place not have any reviews yet? If you have never been to Merindorf's, you need to go. The meat is all fresh butchered and locally raised. Over the years, I think have tried everything in there at least once. Much better than the processed and treated crap from God knows where that you get at the grocery store. Oh, and they process my deer every year as well. Friendly local place with reasonable prices and a great selection of fresh everything. read more
