This is the to go place for all types of meat in the Summit Township area. All of the meat - red, poultry and seafood is all top quality. The deli counter has some fantastic traditional lunch meat, and salads, but their made in house soups, and hot prepared meats/meals are better than mom's (sorry mom). Pies from Traverse City Pie Company, tortilla chips ingrat flavors from Mexican Village, local made bread and baked goods, and other locally produced, ice cream from Mooners and Jennis, cheese, wine and so much else. As someone new to the Jackson area, this is an amazing recommendation to have received. Not only is it clean, well organized, and stocked, the workers are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I had the pleasure of working with Keith on my order, and I will be coming back for more of his picks. His knowledge and passion shows in how he talks and moves, and everything i got looked to be of incredible quality. Have had good experiences with there steaks in the past and would have recommended this market. But on 12/20/24 I purchased a seven pound prime rib that was extremely expensive 150 dollars.this rib was bragged about how wonderful it was by the store manager.removed the meat from the fridge on 12/24 to season the rib.what I was surprised to see and smell was a piece of rib that was turning brown and started to spoil. My fridge is at thirty nine degrees,so that is not the problem. I do believe this prime rib was old stock. What a disaster. It almost ruined our Xmas family dinner. read more

Amazing selection of local and fresh chicken, pork and beef with great service. You're paying for prime grade which is above select and choice. The butcher offered to make us our 70/30 ground beef (sirloin) fresh just for us!! The ground beef smelled fresher than any large super market would offer and guaranteed, it wasn't gassed to stay pink. Going to try the fresh ground pork link sausage--- everything sans nitrates. We loaded up on ribeye steaks and wild caught shrimp. They no longer carry sushi which was the only disappointment. Always glad to see Boars Head deli meats -- the very best. Expect to pay for it. Also a nice selection of deli items and hot dishes as well bread and pastries. read more

If you are visiting there in autumn, fresh apples from local orchard will welcome you. Meat are so wide varieties, all looks so good. But don't worry if you need any advice for what is the best, staffs are very friendly and helpful. I got Sushi at there, never imagined I could get REAL Sushi (fresh tuna, salmon and crab roll) in Jackson. My husband didn't say any word until he finished their chicken pot pie. Pretty convenient spot to get meats. They offer a wide selection of products, including locally procured items. They even have Zingerman's gelato! I like to pick up their individually packed (cyro-vac) marinated chicken breasts from time to time. They are flavorful and are a quick fix for when you forget to marinate your own at home. They offer a punch-card rewards system as well. Only downside, they aren't open on Sundays (although A&A II isn't open on Sundays either). Stock up before the weekend! read more

Everything is so good that I leave my credit and debit cards home and only bring cash so that I don't buy everything in the store. My only issue with Prime Cuts is I would like to go there today and pick up steaks to grill for my wife (Mother's Day) but they are closed on Sundays. read more

We just love this place. We drive from Battle Creek and it's well worth it! Best quality meat and seafood around. It's like going to an old time butcher. They know how to cut to your specifications and can tell you where everything comes from. Highly recommend it! They also have an awesome deli section and carry specialty foods. The owner and his wife and all the staff are super helpful and will recommend recipes for what you're buying. read more
