My go to. The No. 48 - Croque Monsieur Croissant bun, Lettuce, ham, honey mustard, tomato *Served hot
    Krista W.

Their No. 48 always hits! -this time I got a cup of soup as a side * they automatically come with a side salad I also am huge fan of the 2 soups I have tried. - tomato bisque - potato & bacon *The Vault usually has 3 choices and rotate the options daily *I have tried every side pasta. All good! You can order take out, or take a number and sit at the window... you can even sit next door at the cafe/bookstore (Bestsellers). *this is great option if you have a large party and are dining in

Wide variety of interesting and tasty sandwiches. They put a lot of different ingredients on each sandwich, so the flavors are more complex than the basic sandwich place. Meats and cheeses were also high quality.

Half Florentine half greek salad with a side of potato salad

This isn't a place I'd randomly find myself, I was brought by a friend. I was a little skeptical. It's nestled in the quaint small pale downtown of Mason. It's inside of an old bank. The wine storage is in The Vault. They properly used the design of this space to fit the mood of a new deli. You'll walk in to a walk up for above living units, a trash & tray table for discarding and the entrance to the deli. Merchandising is the name of the game. All of the touristy treats you could need. Caramels, chocolates, chips, cookies, pickles, onions, salts, oils, syrups, jams to spare. You are likely a grinch if you leave with buying only the meal you came to eat. The menu is sweet not too long not too short. Variety is on the table. Meat, veggies and food like stuff for the vegans... I kid I kid but really everyone can eat here. The sandwich menu is classic, I've ordered The Club Florentine, The B.L.T. and the Chicken Salad Sandwich. All-stars. Chicken salad: consistent, chunky, flavorful and slightly creamy. Seasoned to blend flavors for a full spicy, sweet and savory satisfaction. There was extra crunch and sweet bursts of flavor on each chew. I don't remember if it included grapes or other chicken salad favorites but I didn't take much time to look at it as I was eating. The B.L.T.: BACON, thick, cooked perfectly to slightly crisp but tender enough for one bite chew gloriousness. Layers of bacon, fresh tomato and crisp greens remind you why this threesome is a sure thing every time. Oh and the coup de gras the bed of this threesome was a croissant. As a lavish flaky, soft and rich bed this croissant complements and does not demand too much of the flavor. Club Florentine: (pictured below) This is too much for one meal. I am a lover of pork. Black Forest and bacon lure my desires. Not over cured or salted but well roasted ham. Add smoked turkey for depth and you've got scrumptious temptation to eat till you can't any more. I recommend this over all options. The Greek: Fresh garden variety greens, crisp cucumbers, red onions, kalamata olives, pepperonchini, juicy tomatoes, smooth tangy feta, more than enough. I've indulged in their deli salads: quinoa (not my favorite), macaroni (a mild appeal) and the potato which is the best potato salad a deli has ever provided my senses. Well season and creamy texture in the right portion complements most handhelds. Chips are not housemade but they are craft kettle and delicious in many seasonings. The drinks vary from Faygo, to naturally sweetened tea and soda made with real fruit. You can also buy wine and beer to enjoy with your meal. The dining experience is usually had next door in the book store or outside when weather permits. I also pick up their flavored salts, some of the wines and at times a cooking syrup or oil. I make a day of coming here. I stop into the antique stores and enjoy a nice caucasian excursion when I'm in Mason. Visit, they're friendly, I've not had any odd experiences outside of being followed by the police.

If you want corned beef or pastrami, greasy grocery store deli meat just doesn't cut it. Checking Yelp delis. I looked in every direction and decided to drive to East Lansing as my corned beef withdrawal pains were getting worse. Stateside Deli sits in a shopping plaza a few miles southeast from MSU. When we arrived both booths and tables were available just after the lunch rush. Just guessing, i'd say there are between 25-30 tables and booths. Even though I didn't need to, I studied the menu knowing that I would probably only get corned beef or pastrami. The soups however looked great as well. I ordered my corned beef extra lean partially as a test and mostly because that is how I like it. Served on toasted rye, that' is exactly how it came. My first bites were euphoric. It only got better. My wife ordered half a sandwich (tuna melt on wheat) along with matzah ball soup. She loved hers as well. I can tell because both the bowl and plate were empty when she was done. She will often not finish if the food is "just OK" Service was excellent and "seamless". One server saw my drink almost empty and quickly returned with another. Another server asked if we needed anything as she was walking by. Our server also kept checking with us to see if we needed anything or if we were enjoying our lunch. If this is the closest deli, so be it. We will be back as often as practical. Only drawback is the hour drive each way and approximately $28 worth of gas.

But we just wanted lunch so it was fine! The menu is small but it was fine - we all found something we liked and when one of us didn't, the person behind the counter made her a grilled sandwich to order. I got a grilled chicken BLT. It was not a traditional chicken breast but something along the lines of a chipped chicken lunchmeat. Overall, it was "ok" - it tasted ok and it filled my stomach. The custom grilled sandwich was a tad soggy but tasted "ok" as did the meatball sub. No serious complaints but nothing exceptional either. Maybe it was just our preferences or maybe it was just who was cooking that day. ‍

Certainly nothing fancy looking from the outside, across the street from a rundown outlet mall. There was one guy working the bar and the deli. He was the bartender, cook, waiter and seemingly most everything else. However he was very nice and accommodating for us. We ordered two different sandwiches. All said they were very good food. Not a bad place to get a quick bite if you don't mind simple food in a bare minimum bar type environment.

It was fairly crowded when we got there - a good indication since it was 1:00 pm on a Wednesday. a server was with us immediately and we had drinks in no time. same with placing our orders & receiving our food - fast & friendly. my brothers ham & bean soup looked delicious it was easy to tell it was homemade. my corned beef & pastrami w Swiss & Cole slaw on grilled rye - called the Detroit Shocked Sandwich - made my mouth water looking at it and was just as tasty as it looked. Plus let me tell you they do not skimp on anything You get a STACK of meat on it. It was all I could do to finish half of it. my family is originally from the Detroit area where they have some of the best delis and I can confidently say that Omega would fit right in. I haven't had a sandwich like that since going to one of the Detroit Delis that specialize so I'm over the moon after eating at Omega. It was $16.95 for my sandwich. I think that price is on point when you take a look at how much a fast food combo runs these days. You definitely get your moneys worth at Omega. Plus you get to sit back and have great service from a very friendly attentive waitstaff. My brother having been there many times also said they've tried a lot of other things on the menu and there's nothing that has disappointed them. His wife particularly enjoys their breakfast. So if you are down in Grand Blanc or even if you aren't - it's worth a little drive - stop in and give Omega a try!
