The mini bar area is completely stocked with a variety of beverages and they had several snacks above the fridge. The bathing area had both a rain shower and bath, great for soaking after the marathon. The staff were all super friendly. The food in the restraurant was better than expected, though the sevice was a bit slow as I feel likely it was slightly understaffed for the number of runners that were staying there. Overall a good stay!

Ask someone to point you in the direction of the light rail. Take the light rail to the Convention Center stop. Once there walk into the adjacent parking garage. Take the elevator to the fourth floor as if you're going to Novotel. Walk through the parking garage until you hit Murray St. and the hotel will be across the street from you. After you've checked in you can go back through the fourth floor of the parking garage to the walking bridge that will take you to the harbour and shops. You can walk all over town from this central location... across the Pyrmont Bridge, over to Chinatown, a relatively short walk to Circular Quay... it's really a great location. Swag and free stuff: Amazing! When you book on their website you get free happy hour at their bar, everything in the mini bar is free, free breakfast, free loot bag of snacks, free tote bag to swing around town or load up a few extra gifts for home. Lots of goodies! Attention to detail: Never better! From the spare toilet paper that reads "who gives a crap" to the frame hanging in the lobby for people to take selfies with, this place is fun and interesting. I found myself wanting to explore the hotel as much as I wanted to explore Sydney. Food: Nice spread! They had a really nice continental breakfast spread in the morning... lots of fruits, breads and pastries, cereal, hard boiled eggs, a variety of juices, and a coffee machine. I think there would be something there for everyone but if that didn't suit your fancy you could also pay for other breakfast options from the kitchen or coffee bar. Literally the only downside I came across was that the walls were thin so I could hear a lot of noises from the hallway and laundry room. So pack some ear plugs!

The famed bridge is a few blocks beyond, and the Opera House is a fun 5-minute walk. The shopping district is an easy 2 or 3 blocks in the opposite direction. You absolutely could not ask for a better location. There were two slight negatives. First, the pool deck really feels like you are wedged up on a rooftop. We thought it might be a nice place to have a cocktail and view the skyline. For whatever reason, it has not been configured that way, although it seems to have spectacular potential. Our big criticism, though, is that we were there for 4 nights, over New Year's Eve. It was our first visit to Syndey, and the NYE fireworks have been a bucket list item for us. Anyway, the Four Seasons charges a huge premium for their "New Year's Eve" package. We obviously didn't mind paying the premium BUT, other than the room, you didn't actually GET anything for this "package." We had absolutely no idea where to view the fireworks, how to get into the viewing area, what the program was like, what time to go, etc. etc. There were 1.1 million people there. It was mobbed. It would have been nice for the Four Seasons to have had a little guide for their NYE Package guests. At the very least, the concierge should have had a little tutorial, rather than just vaguely waving in the direction of the harbor.

I arrived at 8am, and they didn't have any rooms available for early check-in. However, they had an early arrival lounge on the 6th floor which has showers for you to freshen up, and which I truly appreciated. I've stayed at other hotels where they gave me access to the hotel gym to shower, but this early access lounge is a full bathroom attached to a small private room for you to unpack and reorganize if needed without being in the general lounge area. Other amenities include free treats in the lobby sometime (they served ice cream once while staying there), fruit water by the check in counter with individual Mentos, and you can borrow an umbrella for free. The room was clean but nothing spectacular, which is fine with me. Housekeeping occurs daily. Overall an excellent stay if you want to be nearby Circular Quay.

They do have a very nice indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. The breakfast is pretty good and has a nice variety. The best part of the hotel though in my opinion is its proximity to a lot of attractions including just a 10 min walk to the harbor and Sydney Opera House. It's located in the Rock neighborhood so lots of restaurants to choose from. It's also only a 10 min walk to George street which is the one of the main shopping and walking streets in Sydney. My only negative feedback is that the hotel seems a bit dated to me and the furniture, bathroom, and carpets need an upgrade / remodel.

An upgrade to a 500 sf suite would have cost $180 AUD more per night; No lanai (patio) to take in the fresh air; No wand in the shower; No Executive lounge; No pool; No view for being so close to Darling Harbour; No local restaurant recs via the app like other Hiltons I have stayed at; Tiny gym; The No's (negatives), far outweigh the positives: I would not stay here again. Unfortunately, the Marriott, Hyatt & IHG properties in the area were unavailable via points during our stay, and the Four Seasons had bad recent reviews.

Tons of shopping with both a large shopping mall and smaller shopping streets is also right around the corner. Sydney tower is also right next door and accessible through the shopping mall. The lobby area is attractive and contemporary although not particularly grand. A restaurant is on the ground floor and there is also an art gallery and hair salon connected to the lobby. The room was spacious and quite contemporary in its decor. We had a Hyde Park view, and there is a small side sitting area in the room across from the windows. The standard TV channels are available, although there are no streaming apps such as Netflix on the TV as other hotels are offering. The bathroom is large and features the usual amenities as well as a shower and separate bathtub. The real highlight is the amazing Sheraton club lounge on the 21st floor if you've booked a club level room. It is a large lounge with modern contemporary decor and many different types of seating. The breakfast buffet in the lounge is expansive and featured several hot dishes and numerous cold dishes and pastries. The evening appetizer and cocktail service in the lounge is not to be missed. Complimentary beer, wine, sparkling wine, and cocktails plus innumerable hot and cold appetizer choices. A selection of desserts is available as well. The food choices changed each evening, but there were some repeats. You could really make this dinner if you wanted to. The breakfast options were generally the same each morning but were good. Overall this is a great hotel in a great location, and the club lounge is not to be missed!
