The entire staff is top tier; they pay attention to detail and make sure everything is perfect for your big day. The owners are the sweetest and purest people I've met. Marilyn and her daughter-in-law Mary made the process easy as heck for us. Sarah and Lisa were our day of coordinators and they were beyond amazing all day and night. They're all genuine people who love love, as most people do. If I could get married here every year, I would do it in a heartbeat. Everything I was looking for in fall activities!!…read more I came across this place on Yelp, through suggestions of friends looking for a place to pick pumpkins straight from the patch. It's one of the activities I enjoy doing most in the fall, and have grown disappointed with other farms as the years went by and their popularity skyrocketed. This place is fairly under the radar - a bit of a drive even past the attractions in Clarence, but I've grown to love Akron lately and so I (of course) didn't mind making the journey. In fact, I loved this place so much that I brought my family back here the very next day. Akron Acres is a part of the Kelkenberg farm family. I haven't been to their namesake farm, but if it's anything like Akron Acres I'm sure I would have an absolutely amazing time. Activities here during their fall season included a hayride out to the pumpkin patch, corn maze, and things like pony rides for the kids. The hayride is $12 and you're allowed to pick any pumpkin you want from the patch (even the biggest one you can't carry) - they also had combo ticket prices if you wanted to participate in some of the other activities here. Sadly we went during a wet and rainy weekend, so I had to miss out on the corn maze BUT the farm animals 10000% made up for my FOMO. Oh yes, there are dozens of farm animals roaming about! Most notably, we saw ponies, a large draft horse (not sure what breed they are? but they are HUGE), pigs, sheep, turkeys, chickens, and of course GOATS. There were also BABY GOATS and they were absolutely ADORABLE, one of them tried to eat my clothes. Made my life complete. You can also buy an assortment of other things while you're here, not just tickets for fun activities! They sell pumpkins and gourds if you don't feel like going out to the patch - they also have Indian corn and corn stalks, hay, among other things. There's a food stand that sells kettle corn, maple cotton candy, and candy apples. You can also shop a super cute country store here, with all sorts of goodies - I ended up buying a delicious smelling candle that they were burning in the store while I was there. Needless to say, there's a ton of really fun things to do while you're here, both for kids and adults. It's a bit less well known than some of the other pumpkin places in WNY, which is why I ended up liking it so much. Both days we went, it was pleasantly busy but not overly crowded. There is also "The Gathering Barn," which is where weddings are hosted - and from the pictures I've seen online, it sounds beautiful! All in all, we had such an amazing experience here that we're going to be back in November for their Christmas trees! Can't wait to return!!

Between the animals in and our of the barn, the giant sandbox, and the tetherball, this was a great little area to hang out in. They also had a fun basketball hoop in a wagon which sent your ball back every time. That was fun! They had wagon rides, plenty of food and drinks available, and for the birthday party we got a couple of their homemade cinnamon donuts which were delicious. We didn't do any blueberry picking but we will be back for that. However they have the store in the barn which had maple syrup, jams, produce, and so many other great items. The property is…read moregorgeous, staff are super friendly, and entry itself is extremely affordable-- it's only $8 for admission and they give you a coupon for a free non-alcoholic drink or you can also use it as a discount for other food & beverage (including alcohol) items at the cafe. Obviously food and picked berries during peak season will cost you extra, but you can still do a lot on admission alone as there are free activities and little trails to walk around. Food is delicious, all of their hot food is prepared fresh upon ordering and they use high quality, locally sourced ingredients (including the ice cream trolley below the hill). They also have little snack features at different times of the day like free popcorn until sunset, or you can purchase a smores kit to use at one of the bonfire tables. Blueberries are one of my favorite fruits so you could imagine how stoked I was to see blueberries incorporated in almost everything they sell here! I highly recommend the sweet gum pizza & the bee sting (shot of honey plus a mint leaf and buzzbutton/electric daisy bud) which gave a unique sensory experience. I also really appreciate how much time and effort went into the execution of the treehouse, the design, details, and usage of building materials are seriously impressive-- especially the playground which is SO cool! Makes me wish I was a kid again. Sadly blueberry season just ended but I was still able to find a few late bloomers in some of the bushes! Nothing too crazy & they weren't the sweetest but it'd be nice to come back for the full experience, or on another day where they have more to do. !!! Something very important to take into consideration is that while it is family friendly, this is NOT the best place to bring someone who requires mobility assistance and/or has a bee allergy. At the end of the day it is a farm with added attractions, nonetheless a unique and great place to visit.

This is a lovely setting. You'll walk to the blueberry patch past a fish pond. The boys had fun spotting the fish as we walked to our picking spot - marked by the owls on the posts. We turned there and went a few paces to the windmill and were greeted by all our berries! We didn't have to pick for long. Fortunate for us, because it was a hot and humid day. Loaded bushes and great directions from the owner made for quick work. Why ever drive farther!

I love this food fest! Local restaurants from the Southtowns area (OP, West Seneca, Blasdell,…read moreetc.). It's always held on the last Wednesday of July from 5:30-9ish. I love getting food from The Grange Outpost and cookies from Gingersnap Patisserie. There's lots of local business stands (realtors, Urgent Care, pediatric dentistry, etc.) and plenty of wheels to spin for the kids. They are bound to come home with a bunch of free pens, frisbees, and bags, hahaha!

Although the weather gave us a rough start it ended up being a great and fun event for all of us! We are looking forward to next year already! Lots of people had the same idea judging from the line to get I just to park- they were asking fir donations which slowed the flow . More lines at the entrance fir admission where there was another Subaru in all fir good cause. And in exchange a really cute burlap goodie bag filled w treats! I'd like to see next years event have more people working parking and admission to cut down on wait and be more organized. There were many vendors represented and lots of rescue organizations which was great to see several no. Profits operating some food vendors: pizza, hot dogs even doggie ice cream. Was a great chance to meet some new dog centered providers that I didn't know about and might need . The best part was we got to reconnect with the group that brought us our rescue dogs. That's what the day was about. Making new friends and sharing our love of dogs!

I should've taken some pictures, but I was driving my family so I let them do the picture taking. It's free. It's amazing. This year (2025 Xmas season) the 100% of the donations collected will go to a charity by the name of Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Worthwhile cause for sure. They build beds for children in the city of Buffalo who are in need of beds.

Well this is an amazing neighborhood where over 300 houses get together and decorate for this holiday event. They even supply a map of the best route to take to be able to see everything. It runs from Thanksgiving night until New Years Day. The event is free but there's spots along the route to make donations. Each year they give the donations to a different organization. This past year (2024) the money was going to the Lancaster Depew Boys & Girls Club. Remember - Thanksgiving night 2025 2025-9

I came out to Knox for the Borderland Music Festival. Now I know it's completely different when…read morethere is something happening but I had to talk about the beauty of this park. First off, I feel like the walking trails here are nice. More markers would be cool, but I like the ease of the trails. They have a dog park too which is great. I can't wait to come back with my pup before the snow and have her run around too. Everything is very open which makes it even more awe-inspiring and beautiful on a summer day. I also love all of the old architecture here too with the old stables, main house, etc. It really feels like a different place when you step foot on property. LIke being transported through time almost. The music festival was awesome here. I think the lay of the land, the older buildings, and the beauty of the park really amplify the event and make it feel even better than other possible locations in the area. I will definitely be back to visit the park, and back for the music festival.
