I went to Amy today for a mole removal service. She has a little room in the back of a hair salon,…read morethe atmosphere is very clean which is great. She had me lie down on a bed and gave me sort of a mini facial to clean my face first. Then she shone a big white light in my face (much like the ones at a dentist office) and dabbed my moles in what I assumed was antiseptic. I closed my eyes at this point since it's my first time and I am a little nervous. The whole process just felt like a little needle pricking you, it was a little painful but nothing significant. I think I was bleeding the entire time as she kept on wiping the spots after each time. The process is very fast, about 5 minutes for the whole pricking sensation. I am giving 3 stars for now because my moles look like little angry red dots at this moment, and I can't tell if the treatment worked. I will come back in 10 days (the number of days I'm supposed to wait for the wound to scab over and peel off by itself) and edit this post to tell you all about how it went! ==================== 8 days later: All my wounds scabbed over and peeled off by itself. One of them is completely gone while the two other ones are faint, but still there. I went back to Amy for a free touch-up on the two dots that are still there. She was great! Booked a same day appointment, same procedures (the facial + removal). I am editing my rating to 5 stars. :) For everyone who's wondering what the price is, it was $85 for 3 moles, not very large, just a dot, but very dark in colour. I think her price is decent. Sure you could get moles removed for $10/mole at beauty salons, but I'd prefer someone who's registered, after all, it's your face, right?

Do not ever go to Merle Norman metro town for threading the girl Roselyn clearly does not know what she's doing!! I had the most horrible experience with threading and I hope no one else goes there to experience such bad service!!!! And because I asked for full face and neck and she didn't charge me for neck he doesent want to do anything about this!! read more

I was left with a crooked and patchy eyebrow. The technician for some reason threaded the first centimeter of one eyebrow except for 1 hair. That is to say, where my eyebrow starts there was 1 hair, then a 1cm gap before the other hairs started. This was only done to one side, that same side was also left with a noticeably higher arch than the other. I made the mistake of not checking the mirror in the salon due to being hurry. Didn't realize what had happened until I was home. As a side note, the staff also felt very pushy with other services. I assumed it was due to a lot of small businesses suffering during the pandemic.
