On one occasion, I had a question about a specific hair tool and I would ask the employee and she would look at me like I was bothering her and read off the description that I could also see...right in front of my face. Just say you don't know how to answer my question or ask another educated employee. More recently, I went for perfume and I asked an employee for help and she very quickly and rudely said she was helping another customer and I just have to wait. I understand how that works, but it is the way you speak to someone and the tone you use that makes all the difference. You are at your job, so speak accordingly and professionally. Ulta, do better and hire people who actually want to make their guests feel welcome and not like we are a bother.
