In good conscious I am compelled to write this review. I had an appointment on Sunday at 1:00 PM. I show up and am told I cannot be accommodated because it's far too cold, I ask why I was not notified over the phone and I'm told they didn't have my number. I guess they forgot to write it down when I first called booking the appointment? They ask me to come back in 3 days, incredible. I'm a new customer, you have to prove to me why your service is worth my money. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place due to lack of customer service skills and promptness, there was no effort to find a way to fulfill my appointment today. read more

I wanted a place to bring my car that did hand washing that wasn't outrageous for my little car. They responded to me via Yelp and I was very excited as they had available time when I was also available. Very easy to communicate with and super responsive as well! I went to my appointment promptly at 10 am and was taken right in. Everyone was super nice. My car was so shiny and clean after. I just did the external wash bc I keep my car so clean on the inside (I vacuum it every couple days.) the total cost for my car was $20 plus tip. It was so quick and so good. They even blew air to get the pesky water that remains that drips after. Plus the tire shine had me all sparkly. Will definitely be back! read more

We dropped off our 2005 Camry that had literally never been cleaned before. It was so bad that it looked like it was starting to grow its own roots into the earth. The outside was covered with dirt and muck and the inside was awful with a smell that just lingered. After a few hours at Merlos the car is now brand new. Got my car washed from Merlos for the first time and was thoroughly impressed with the level of detail at the price point. While I am very particular with how my cars are washed (e.g., avoid automatic car washes, hand wash at home with 2 bucket method only, etc.), I feel comfortable sending my cars to Merlos as he treats every car as his own. I got the most basic hand wash package, which consists of an exterior hand wash, quick spray wax, interior vacuum, cleaning and wash of car mats, and interior window cleaning. 3 workers were working on the car and the job was complete in 30 minutes. Washes are available by appointment only and it is requested to make an appointment 3-4 days ahead of time. read more

I came to Merlos for an interior detail after reading other reviews here on Yelp. The work was necessary because I had a lot dog hair from our families mixed Retriever, despite most of the interior being in top shape. I dealt with Hector directly and the experience could not have gone better. He's the owner operator and he is nothing but smiles and full of warmth. He inspected the car and and gave me a "realistic" expectation about what could be done about the hair and a quote that was in line with two other car washes that I use on a regular basis in Larchmont and in Mamaroneck. I dropped off my car on Tuesday morning around 9am and they were done before 1pm. The work was fantastic. You would have never known the back of my SUV had transported a white lab/ hound mix all over town. I appreciate the "realistic" expectations and the genuine attempt to over- deliver. I was quoted on a best efforts basis, but Merlos got the job done. Great value and excellent work. I will definitely come back! read more

Merlos is a great place to schedule any level of cleaning you desire. They cal do it all, from a basic hand wash, vacuum and interior wipe down to a interior/exterior detail. I recommend calling well in advance. I've gotten lucky once or twice with a same day drop off, but don't count on it. There is a reason there is such a demand for their services. read more

I just had our car exterior detailed this morning. We had been looking for a place in the New Rochelle area for a while now and Merlos went above and beyond to get the job done today! The work was exceptional, the attention to detail immaculate, and they were the first to successfully remove some old paint damage from many years ago. I've already set up an appointment to have the interior detailed as well, I cannot recommend their service enough. For $125, the detail and care make it very worth it. I look forward to having the exterior done again as needed and will be making Merlos our go to for cleaning and detailing. read more

Hands down I have to bow down to Hector as he is everything when it comes to car detailing! So I had a new construction site drop concrete on my car multiple times! The concrete got hard solid because I kept calling places and everyone refused to take my car for some reason saying no a detail won't get it out and you need to do a sanding or a paint job! So was I getting the pink price tag, you know how that goes!! I called Merlos and Hector who is so honest and trust worthy, and as a woman to say that about a car place is quite a feat! He told me send me pictures and I did and said bring it in snd I'll try my best! His prices were the best around and he got it done same day!!! Why didn't I write a review for this place sooner! I blame the fact that when I brought my car in last I was 9 months pregnant and my brain was too crowded with tasks. Anyway. I had a fantastic experience at Merlos. I made an appointment, brought in my car, and went a few doors down to eat breakfast and play on my phone, and then retrieved my car. I expected it to be clean but it was SUPER clean. I expected the detailing to cost me about double what it actually cost. To say I was thrilled is a serious understatement. Hector even took out my kiddo's car seat, cleaned THAT, and put it back properly. Whaaaat. I remember it like it was yesterday even though it was 17 months ago. I know precisely how long ago it was because that's how old my youngest is now! I am taking my car in this week for another thorough cleaning and I can't wait!! read more

Unbelievable. I needed to get my car detailed as soon as possible. I walked in and Hector fit me in the very next day. I dropped it off told him what I needed and 3 hours later my car was done. I really wish I would have taking a before picture of my car. It's a light color beige fabric material, that after 11 years looked black ( very embarrassing ). I'm a little late on my review as it's been 2 weeks since I went to Merlos Auto Detailing, but my experience was so good they deserve it... I stopped by the shop with my 21 month old son to drop our car off for an interior cleaning. As you can imagine, having a toddler can make the inside of your car a war-zone. Merlos Auto Detailing is the place to go. They did a full detail on my car and it looked it it was just coming off the lot at the dealership. Hector showed me when I picked up the car two spots that wouldn't come out but they were trying to get it out. This was the first time I tried this place and I wil definitely go back here. I never seen my car so shiny and the inside never so clean. All the crumbs and other junk in my car and vacuumed it all away.
