We had a great weekend stay at this cute, quiet spot. It's in a great location--close to downtown Napa but still peaceful and secluded. They did have EV chargers and both types - Tesla charger and a regular EV charger, which was really convenient. A small suggestion: I think pump bottles for soap would be a nice touch, just to make things a bit more practical. The place had such a cozy, quaint vibe, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves since it was so quiet. We did venture to the main space and it was empty with some tables - it could use a bit more warmth, maybe with some snacks or little touches to make it feel more like home. Breakfast was delivered to our room and it was healthy and delicious. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay! Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a peaceful getaway. read more

The place was super cute and quiet. My cottage (Fowler) was clean and cozy. The Inn didn't have anyone there when I arrive. I did receive email and text instructions (multiple on both) on how to enter and check out. The only have breakfast from 8am-9am and you have to respond to another text / email by the night before. Typically at a B&B there is someone there for 2 hours and you can get whatever you want between the time. I went in at 7:45am and breakfast wasn't ready yet. I headed out without anything. Rather disappointing on that. No one from hotel there to welcome you or anything except for the person making breakfast. read more

This is our favorite place to stay in Napa especially in December. The staff is always welcoming, and you can't beat the rooms. Our favorite room is the Fowler cottage and it is a stand alone cottage. The inn is close to downtown which makes it very convenient for walking to dinner or to downtown in general. Sadly I have to update this review because the service and food has gone downhill significantly. We stayed here six years ago and loved every minute! This year we returned assuming we would have the same stellar service and food we had the last time, but unfortunately that was not the case. There is a new "chef." I put chef in parentheses because he also changed lightbulbs in our room, so he seems to wear more than one hat, which is fine if you do all roles well, but sadly he does not. Sweet guy, but his food is inedible. The gourmet breakfast promised on the website was lentils and sautéed brussel sprouts and cauliflower. Ummm who eats that for breakfast? Or burnt muffins. Or flavorless, inedible waffles. The food was so disgusting that we had to spend more money out each morning to buy breakfast. Highly disappointing considering we stayed here again partly for the food. Even more disappointing was that we never saw anyone other than the chef during our entire 6 day stay. We needed help several times, but there was never anyone at the front desk to offer assistance. And as other reviews note, response times to emails are quite long. Both my husband and I emailed Sally about our concerns and it took the owner almost a week to respond. She promised to make things right by honoring a current promotion, but we have yet to receive the money back and she is not answering emails now. That is how they treat returning guests? Definitely ruined our anniversary/birthday weekend. There is nothing I hate more than wasting money and poor service. No excuse for poor service, especially in the hospitality industry. My boyfriend and I had the most amazing weekend in Napa celebrating our two years anniversary, and I was more than happy with my choice of staying at the Inn on Randolph. It was more than a dream, such a wonderful little B&B. The modern look and design felt as if we were standing right in a pottery barn catalog. We stayed in the Laurel cottage, which I highly HIGHLY recommend! It's still attached to another cottage but was extremely secluded as the property was a little further out away from the main house and main patio area. We even had our own little garden to the side with a table & chairs! The cottage itself was absolutely wonderful. Extremely spacious with a cal king bed, which by the way, was too die for. The sheets were amazingly comfortable and made it tremendously hard to get out of bed in the mornings, but a dream to come back to after a long day of shenanigans. The bathroom floor, get this, has heated floors! The bathtub was incredibly spacious, big enough to fit two people. The fireplace was also a great addition and made our stay wonderfully cozy. Breakfast is served at 8:30 and 9:15! You have to tell them which time you prefer. All food is gluten free and they are very accommodating, always asking if you have any food allergies, etc. The breakfast was delicious and they always have these wonderful treats at the tea/coffee station in the main house. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming! I highly recommend this place for any couple looking for a sweet romantic getaway. The location is great as it's only about half a mile from downtown, close to a bunch of food eats & wine bars! Make sure to book early as there are only limited rooms/cottages. read more

I have been meaning to write this review for ages. I booked a stay here last year as a gift to my husband. I thought it would be an awesome gluten free experience for him, especially given the price, but it was nothing special. Staying here was not a bad experience, but it was an extremely overpriced experience for what it was. The breakfast portions were small and somewhat mediocre even though the gluten free breakfast was supposed to be the highlight. We had to go out to eat elsewhere following the breakfast as we were still hungry. The property itself is nice. Lovely Inn with a lot of attention to detail. How wonderful to get a phone call stating they were looking forward to seeing us, shortly after we booked on-line. The room we were in was on the first floor, the Hannah Moore, and was perfect for grabbing that morning coffee and daily newspaper. Loved the greeting tray with wine and fruit and a welcoming message. The deck provides a wonderful relaxing place to be when one is not walking the short distance to downtown. We would stay again if we come back. The only reason for one less star is that, even though both were lovely as well as tasty, they were not quite enough breakfast for us. BEWARE. BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM! Would give 0 stars if I could. Rented a non smoking cottage for our 26th anniversary. We were given a cottage with adjoining room that stunk like cigars and insence. DISGUSTING ON ALL ACCOUNTS. Broken windows and security cameras pointed right at the bathrooms. Their only solution was to offer us a first floor room inside the inn which isn't what we had purchased. What a wonderful place to celebrate an anniversary! My husband and I stayed at the Library Suite, and it was perfectly tucked away and secluded from the rest of the world. We had our own private entrance, a dining area, as well as a bedroom that led out to an outdoor seating area. Our suite also had a fireplace, which made it more romantic...and you can't go wrong with breakfast in bed, especially when it's home made and brought to you every morning! Deborah, the inn keeper, was most helpful and couldn't be more respectful of our privacy. I look forward to coming back to Napa and staying here for another relaxing weekend! read more

My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary here. Hanna Moore room exceeded our expectation. Huge room with a matching huge bathroom. We could barely hear folks walking up the stairs. And never once could we hear others while they were in their room. All the staff members were very attentive but yet they knew to give you space when you wanted it without a spoken word. Chef Dianne treated us and the rest of the guests to a wonderful breakfast every morning. Chicken and waffles to an egg soufflé. We ordered a cake for our celebration. Chef Dianne made us a fantastic cake. And even tried to replicate the decorations. The Inn is perfectly located. You can walk all of downtown Napa from it. Great restaurants all around. Be forewarned: Don't book this place if you might need to cancel. I had to cancel my three-day planned visit due to an unexpected work conflict and they refused to refund my $133.18 deposit even though I cancelled more than 30 days in advance AND they ended up selling those dates to another traveler anyway. In my many years of booking rooms through Expedia-AARP (where my pre-booking option clearly stated "Reserve now, pay when you stay"), this the first property with the audacity to take such an unconscionable position. This is an Inn designed by Pottery Barn. Lots of modern flourishes and a staff who works hard to make sure you are comfortable and happy. I spent a few months communicating with the staff to arrange our group's stay. There were 4 couples traveling and I took point on some logistics because this is my third visit to Napa. They made everything very easy for us in coordinating the reservation process. They allowed us to drop off our luggage early so we wouldn't have luggage in the cars driving around while we waited for check in. We also got to leave our luggage for a bit after check-out because we had a later flight home. They even arranged the Cabernet room for our evening entertainment...we watched movies and had drinks and snacks (we provided our own drinks and snacks) every evening after dinner. We appreciated how accommodating the team was here. Standard amenities of the inn are gluten-free food, complimentary refreshments (water, French-press coffee, tea, soda, and cookies), ROAM bathroom sundries, heated bathroom floors, a half bottle of Hess cab, and morning breakfasts. The chocolate chip cookies were excellent...I couldn't tell they were gluten-free because they were moist, had a good crumb...and just tasted like a regular chocolate chip cookie...this impressed me greatly. Our room was nice and comfortable. The team made sure it was well-cleaned every day. The bed was nice and the sheets were like silk...super soft and comfy. We slept well each night. Breakfast was nice each morning. Solid food...and all gluten-free. The only time I could tell was the quiche crust...if you got enough filling and crust together, it was great, but the crust my itself was more crumbly and gritty than normal. But the meal was still very good. I love the granola they serve with their house made yogurt. The fried chicken tenders they served with waffles is good, too. We usually stay elsewhere in Napa (but they were completely booked), and this was a nice alternative. We missed the evening reception experience that occurs at other establishments because you get to know the owners of the inn and meet other folks staying at the inn with you...we think that adds to the B&B experience. We've stayed at the Inn on Randolph twice - once in spring and once in the summer. Our first visit we reserved the Hannah Moore room, more recently, we stayed at the Fowler Cottage. This property is large, and oozes Victorian charm but with all of the modern amenities (they even have an EV charger!). The rooms and facilities have been remodeled (the bathrooms for example have heated floors) and the colors are warm and neutral throughout, with many windows for plenty of natural lighting. There is a well manicured garden and sitting area outside, complete with an outside kitty that roams around the grounds and allows you to pet him (or her?) when they are in the mood! It is within walking distance of downtown Napa, a short stroll through the beautiful Victorian neighborhoods to get there. Aesthetics aside, the service is really personal, prompt, and friendly - this is always the highlight of our stay. We can communicate with staff over the phone or email and get a fast response. Inn employees also help arrange activities for their guests. Our first stay we had two wonderful massage therapists who visited us on the property, and the Inn helped book the same people on our second visit, which was great. There are few downsides to Inn on Randolph. I really can't speak too much to their breakfast, since we've only eaten breakfast there once (though it is offered as part of the package). And my only complaint about the Hannah Moore room, was when we stayed in the summer, it let a lot of light in during the morning hours, so it was not the best for sleeping in =) But we love this place so much we've already given out gift certificates to family to stay there, so it has our highest recommendation. read more

The fireplace made for a private "home" feeling. There was a welcome basket waiting on the bed, w snacks & a bottle of wine. There's so much attention to detail...they even leave a flashlight for you to use after dark on the grounds. Gourmet breakfast. Everything made/baked in house. Maybe the best carrot muffins I've ever had. And they were gluten free. My favorite feature was definitely the heated tile floor in the bathroom. Definitely. Now, the bed. It's true; you won't want to get out of this bed. Luxurious. A cloud. This Randolph bed is SO comfortable, these bed linens have developed a following. Yes, due to popular demand, these linens are actually for sale. The people spoke, & decided that they need to replicate this bed bliss back at home. Even though the location is prime to all downtown Napa has to offer, the property gives you the feeling of being far removed. More sanctuary, less hotel. The ONLY negative would be that the cottage (franklin) was on the smaller side. Booking in advance, by default you might not get the luxury of being able to pick the cottage that you want. Wifey and I stayed here three nights. We chose Inn on Randolph based on stellar reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor. The facility is immaculately maintained, certainly the nicest property in any direction for several blocks. We booked our room online without a hitch. The staff communicated nicely via email to confirm our reservation. We arrived late but were greeted by a friendly face. We stayed in the Fowler Cottage, which has a large room, king-sized mattress (LOVED IT), nice pillows, a sitting area, nice bathroom, and tiny (but functional) kitchenette with a sink, fridge, and microwave oven. It's a standalone unit, so we had ultimate privacy. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, so we went for a nice run/walk each morning. Hint: make your way to Ritual Coffee in the Oxbow Market for a topnotch cup of Joe. They serve breakfast at two times; we opted for the early breakfast, at 8:30 am. That allowed us to conduct the ultra-important business of wine tasting, which began at 10 to 10:30 am each morning. The breakfast was stellar. Each morning featured a light pastry or starch, followed by an amazing protein. See my pics for details. Everything was hot, fresh, and flavorful. Presentation was impressive. If you're one of the gluten-free bandwagoneers, then you'll be happy as they have a gluten-free kitchen. [There's absolutely zero science to support that food movement and it'll hopefully die out with like other pseudoscientific fads.] The coffee was fresh, hot, and very good; not great, not the best. If I had to pick a weakness, this would be it and believe me, I'm nitpicking. I would be nice if they had better quality coffee or perhaps individual French presses. Prices are reasonable. Everything about the B&B was lovely. The ground are very cute. The staircase in the main building is breath-taking. The breakfast is delicious. Amenities included a fireplace in the room, a variety of teas and a complementary newspaper in the common room. The location is top-notch as well. The Inn is located in a quiet neighborhood with towering trees, green lawns, and white picket fences. Heading to downtown Napa for dinner? That's just a leisurely 10-minute walk. Breakfast is made fresh by a fabulous on-site chef. I made the mistake of not telling the Inn ahead of time that I don't eat meat. This was my first experience at a bed & breakfast, and I can honestly say that I do not think any place will ever be able to top the wonderful experience I had at the Inn on Randolph! The inn was adorable and situated on beautiful property in Napa, and from the moment I walked in, it certainly felt like a home away from home. The decor was modern and relaxed, with neutral tones. The rooms were very comfortable and looked like they were pulled right out of a beautiful home catalogue, and we all especially loved getting a good night's sleep on the Comphy bed sheets! It was a very inviting environment, and the owners Karen and Dan made the experience even more lovely given the extensive knowledge they have about Napa (and its surrounding vineyard areas) and places to eat and shop at, and especially their willingness to accommodate everyone's personal preferences. This was definitely the case when it came to breakfast, as one of the girls with my group is a vegan, and they told us it was no issue at all for them to prepare a delicious vegan lentil breakfast for her. Additionally, let me rave about breakfast a little more...the breakfast lentils served with ham and a poached egg were unreal. Breakfast was prepared fresh by the inn's own in-house chef, and it was a delicious, healthy meal that was the perfect way to get our day started before taking off on a bus tour of 4 wineries! Also, the granola was quite possibly the best granola I've ever had in my life, and I wish I had the guts to ask for a to-go bag to take some home with me since my mouth is watering right now thinking of it :) They also put out fresh coffee, tea, orange juice, yogurt, and fruit to go along with the main breakfast dish which were nice additions to an already great breakfast. Also, one more tip: try the chocolate chip cookies...they were way too good! Regarding location, the Inn on Randolph was incredibly convenient to the town of Napa (within walking distance), so lunches, dinners, shopping, and obviously wine tastings are very nearby and there is no need for a car to get into town. When we decided to spend one night in Napa during our one week California tour, my girlfriend decided it would be a good idea to visit a bed and breakfast and get away from the traditional hotel stay. By doing so, we firmly believe we've made one of the best choices in our lives to date. Inn on Randolph is worth every dollar and we are no means any luxury travelers, but we couldn't be happier with the choice that we made. The sheets here were unbelievably comfortable, my bathroom tiles (in the Jefferson) were heated and the overall ambiance of the Inn at Randolph was just the cherry on top. Everything there constantly reminded you that you were in heaven. The only downside was the Wi-Fi: I believe they have their Wi-Fi setup incorrectly that doesn't allow all of their property to get the best Wi-Fi connection. With 5 networks, I found it a little difficult to browse and check e-mails, but then again, why should I be on Wi-Fi anyways..? Would come here again. For sure. read more

I booked a stay at Inn on Randolph months ago and have held off on canceling my reservation because I was truly looking forward to staying there again. Sadly with travel being restricted due to coronavirus, I had no choice but to cancel. Unfortunately Inn on Randolph refused to offer a full refund. It's disappointing to know that a place Ive enjoyed staying at in the past gave no consideration to the circumstances of the current global pandemic and the impact its had on their loyal customers. The reality is I can't even get to Napa. My state is on a mandatory lock down and California is on a stay at home order. And even if it was possible, almost everything in the "Recommendations about your stay" email I just ironically received from the Inn is of course closed. To be honest, I question whether Inn on Randolph will even be open on the date of my reservation as they had been unresponsive to email for 4 days. I understand that all business are being hit hard. It's been encouraging to see some businesses adapt and handle it in stride. I'm astonished how poorly Inn on Randolph has responded to their loyal customers during these trying times. To the Inn, I hope my $200 is put to good use and makes as much of an impact to the survival of your business as you've made it sound. read more

The Inn at Randolph Mails One Inn . . . We have stayed at the Inn on Randolph 4 or 5 times in past years for Bottle Rock, and always felt it was a comfortable inn with a very attentive staff, even if the prices were high. This year's stay was by far the most ho hum. Besides the chef, no one was around to assist guests. The grounds are no longer beautifully kept, the housekeeping service missed our room one day, the outdoor patio furniture off of our cottage were so dirty as to be unusable, and we had to ask the chef for sundries because no one else was around. What made this year's stay even more disappointing was the fact the inn required a 4-day minimum stay (not 3 days as in years past), and the room rate was outrageous, to the point of feeling almost predatory. We'll be looking elsewhere in the coming years, which is sad because the walking-distance location is perfect. read more

My wife and I recently stayed for two nights here.....and found the Inn on Randolph worth the price. It's not too pricey for Napa, but in non-Napa dollars, it's expensive. My rating says tons about this place.... it's not cheap, I am, and I still give it 5 stars! From the time we arrived to the time we left, we were made to feel welcome - like we were long-time friends of the staff. Karen shared the history of the inn, and gave us gret advice on restaurants and wine tours - not that this is all that unusual ata B&B; rather it was the ease of how she spoke with us. She listened to our interests, guided us appropriately, and found a way to insert her opinions/tastes. The advice we got was informed, yet tailored to us. Our cottage (Fowler) was perfect. The ammenities were top of the line....heated floors inthe bathroom, a romantically over-sized jacuzzi bathtub, dual shower heads, comfortable beds with high thread-count sheets, great fireplace - NOTHING was overlooked during the 2011 remodel. Also, to say the place was clean doesn't do justice to the cleaning crew. Not a speck of dust anywhere. Outside our room, the grounds were perfectly planted and maintained. In fact, I have a suspicion that the minimal amount of art in the main house/dining room is intentional; nothing distracts your eyes from the large windows with views of the beautiful trees, plants and flowers in the gardens. And, here's the thing about The Inn on Randolph- do not miss breakfast (of course, they go above and beyong here as well offering two breakfast times). The food is delicious, and Louise is happy to share the recipes. We're heading home with therevioe for their home-made granola, which is worthy of 6 stars. read more

The most perfect relaxing getaway in Napa. From check in to check out, the staff could not have been more friendly or attentive. We spent our weekend in the Union Room which had a private entrance and felt like we were the only ones on the property. The welcome gift waiting for us along with the plush robes set the tone for the weekend. We were treated to a delicious breakfast each morning with a choice of time! If you needed to be up and out early, you could start your day with a meal at 8, or if you wanted to sleep in a bit, you had the option to start your day at 9:15. The inn is walking distance to downtown Napa and we were able to take full advantage of the restaurants for dinner without worrying about driving. They do returner guest discounts, and we will back! If you want a clean, modern, "Pottery Barn," type place, this is for you! If you're used to upscale hotels (Ritz, Four Seasons), this is up there. I'd prefer to stay here over a big chain. Excellent service, clean room, amenities, privacy... Definitely a beautiful inn. We stayed at the Inn on First last year though, and couldn't help but compare the two. The Inn on Randolph is more expensive, but also has more modern amenities, luxury pampering, TV, heated bathroom floors, privacy, wine... I was looking forward to the gluten free breakfast here. It was very good, but pretty simple. A delicious apple muffin, followed by a kale salad and 2 gluten free toast points. Granted, the salad was delicious, and had fresh strawberries, crispy bacon and a sliced hard boiled egg. But, I was hoping for something a little more... filling? Props for the array of fresh tea, coffee, homemade cookies (gluten free!), wine upon arrival, and cute basket of treats, along w/ a personal note. Loved the dark chocolates at turn down. While the gals checking people in and out were courteous, you could tell they were not the owners, and didn't have the same caliber of 'welcomeness' as an owner operated inn. I'm sure Melissa is wonderful, but we never met her while we were there. For most people, this is a 5 star Inn. I highly recommend it, but after paying close to $400 (with tax), The Inn on First has a more intimate feel, and the owners are always on the premise. This is an update on our November 16 review. After disputing the erroneous charges with the Inn, we were forced to ask for assistance from our credit card company, Chase Visa. They found that we were overwhelmingly in the right, but did allow a small charge to the Inn. Our only comment is that the Inn was awful in every way in handling our concerns. Chase had to come to our rescue, NOT the Inn. The Inn showed no ethics or understanding of the massive fires and awful air quality (worst in the world) at that time. They only cared about their economic needs. It was a very unfortunate experience and the Inn was less than reasonable. We recommend avoiding this business. read more

This was the cutest BnB! The location was perfect - walking distance to downtown Napa for dinners and only a short drive to Yountville/Sonoma/Napa. We stayed in the Washington cottage and it was very clean - the heated bathroom floors and fireplace made the space feel super luxurious and cozy. The breakfast was great and it was nice to start the days of wine tasting with a home cooked meal! I would definitely stay here again. read more

Honestly, our stay at the Inn on Randolph was incredible! From start to finish, we experienced amazing hospitality, delicious food and warm inn keepers. Upon arrival I thought we would be greeted with a welcome champagne (not the case). Instead when we got to our rooms, placed ever so perfectly on our bed was a tray, a half bottle of wine for me and my hubby, glasses, some teeth wipes for the wine and discounts to nearby wineries. Way better! The room was perfect. We had the Jefferson suite inside the house and while the cottages outside were nice, this is all we needed. Bathroom had a huge tub, heated floors, the room was pretty spacious and had a fireplace. Each morning we had a beautiful breakfast created by the chef accompanied with yummy coffee (hot or cold brew), tea or juice. Our favorite were the chilaquiles. Note, the place is super gluten free and there were gluten free zones throughout the grounds. That was a first for me. We were able to walk easily downtown, the space is very digital so limited key use and the treats were delicious. Next time we're in Napa, we'll be back! read more

Inn On Randolph - A nice welcome to start our stay! - Bed & Breakfast Near Me - Napa, California

In this sizzling dry summer giving way to a warm autumn, our windows down, the sun smiles owning the skies, we coast along the ripe green vines in the open fields. We anxiously make way to our weekend abode, a cottage, with uncertainty of what it might really be like when we get there. Unlike anything that comes to mind when I think cottage, this one is tucked away just a few blocks from downtown Napa where Morimoto and other beautiful restaurants attract visitors from all over on such a summer's day. Hidden behind a tall picket fence and lovely patio, we easily forget that we aren't behind a vineyard somewhere in Yountville where wild rabbits run free, horses trot, and cows lazily graze under the golden rays. Walking in is more refreshing than spring itself, a cool blast from a brand new A/C system creating the perfect refuge from the unrelenting heat. Welcoming and hospitable, a cheese platter with fresh sweet figs from their own garden quickly finds us while we are being overwhelmed by the cottage's contemporary charm. Mark Harold joins us in the form of a rosé, chilled and crisp, quickly makes us forget we are in the wrath of a scorching day. Irony makes itself cozy as we turn on the fireplace warming up for a little tango with romance. Without a hitch in detail, Karen, the owner of this lovely inn, leaves us a half bottle of Frog's Leap zinfandel for our enjoyment and a complimentary tasting at the Frog's Leap Estate... a Napa winery with one of the most stunning patio views into the fields, orchards, and mountains, a fine counterpart to their 2012 chardonnay and cab. As we wait for our pulsing hearts of excitement to settle, we slide into bed to find ourselves to be kids again. Only this time we are not gushing with adventure and joy over a fort made of blankets... No, not a fort, as a fort isn't fitting for a king or queen. It is that soft pleasant touch of high quality thread count and down made for royalty that takes us away to a dream where we roll around in clouds looking down from the castles in the heavens. Wineries you say? What wineries? Leave our elegant little cottage in exchange for some of Napa's finest grapes? No I think not. Rather, it's time for us to indulge in our hot tub for a bubble bath while embracing a warm intimate conversation over a luscious glass of Frog's Leap zin Karen so generously gifted us. The vineyards can wait 'til tomorrow. For now, it's 'us' time, with the dimming of lights and flickering shadows dancing along to the rhythm of the fire. The curtains down... the final chapter of the night is for us alone. The morning star sneakily intrudes into the privacy of our cuddles, reaching in with a soft gentle caress, pressing its soothing warm morning touch against the tenderness of our skin. Our eyes struggle to open as the clouds selfishly wrap itself into a snuggle leaving us no choice but to surrender for one last frolic in the castles above. The sun, filled with anxiety, now boldly reaches out inviting for our spirited company to a day in the fields with his friends, the birds and the bees. A relaxing dip into the hot tub slowly awakens our senses to the fresh morning air in wine country. Refreshed and ready to join our anxious friend, we head over to the dining room where Karen greets us with a smile warmer than the clouds that kept us in the skies at dawn. All the guests of the inn gathered for some tea, fresh fruits, and a delightful homemade breakfast with the freshest ingredients prepared by their wonderful in-house chef. An exquisite serving of fresh garden greens, smoked salmon, and savory home fries, flirts seductively with the sweetness of the corn, roasted red bell peppers, and caramelized onions, cradling an elegantly poached egg whose heart of gold shines almost brighter than the sun. An enchanting weekend fairy tale here at the Inn on Randolph has us parting ways like a child from Disneyland. With a sweet gluten free chocolate chip cookie in one hand, duffle in the other, we disappear through the door and into the day where the sun and its Napa natives welcome us with open vineyards and bottomless glasses. 5 stars isn't enough to fairly rate such an unforgettable experience. Thank you Stacey for picking up my call at 3am waking you from your sleep... even if the earthquake would have waken you by 320am anyway, I really appreciate the time you took while in a half dreamy state. You help this Inn shine. Thank you Sativa for such a warm welcome as we arrived. You are nothing short of an amazing host. Thank you to the 2 chefs for such a wonderful start to a great morning. Absolutely exquisite! And of course Karen and Dan... You guys have done such a remarkable job with this place! Especially with all the fine details of a true experience! Thank you. We love this place! Where do we begin?? First, Karen and Dan are the most wonderful people ever. Everything from the check-in process to our last moment at the IOR was perfect. First, we checked in and were greeted with a glass of the most wonderful Chardonnay. I later found out that it is not available to be sold directly to the public, and they graciously sold us a couple of bottles at cost. Awesome. At checkin, they welcome you as a guest - you pay for a night upfront when you book the reservation - genius on their part - so check in is literally a casual chat, a good glass of wine, helpful information about the area (including ensuring you have plans and reservations if you want them), a tour of the place, and an escort to your room. Welcome home. Everything at IOR is perfectly maintained. The main house is gorgeous and includes some great before and after pictures of this perfectly renovated property. We stayed in one of the cottages, and it was just beautiful. Romantic fireplace, king-sized bed, awesome big jet tub, and a small kitchen area. Karen and Dan are also so generous, there is a bottle of wine to greet you in your room, and on our second night, there was another bottle with a wine, cheese and fruit platter. Yes. Can I just talk about breakfast for a minute? The staff remembers your preferences and can adapt to any request. Have a husband who doesn't like eggs? No problem, they have you covered. Our first day's breakfast was a bacon potato hash over greens - perfection. Perfectly balanced meal and enough food to feel satisfied without being stuffed. Our second morning we had lemon-ricotta pancakes: lemon out of the back yard tree and ricotta that had been made by the chef the morning before. I have never tasted anything like that before in my life. We also enjoyed a couple's massage while we were on site. There is a small spa cottage that is right on property. The massage therapists were attentive, kind and skilled. Exactly what we needed. My husband and I agreed that the Inn On Randolph was our best B&B experience in Napa yet. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you Karen and Dan, for making a long-overdue romantic getaway perfect in every way. read more
