It was a very light, not overly sweet drink. Score another one for Vent. The ambiance of Vent is pretty interesting as one side of its warehouse inside is a cafe with bar, table and bench seating and the other is the roastery. I love to order my drink and then watch the roasters do their magic. Vent has a lot of merch, bags of coffee, canned cold brews, etc for sale in their small shop. Previously I've purchased some of their bags and canned cold brews. Both were exceptional. I'm not in Vent's area often but when I am, I make it a point to stop for a visit.

I've patroned BSC a handful of times and they are actually one of my go-to cocktail bars when in the area. But I had yet to try their tour and I figured there was no better time than as a gifted class to my dad for Father's Day. We were welcomed with a cocktail as we chose our seats and got settled in for a little history on whiskey and a tour of BSC's distillery. It's always nice to kick off a tour with a tasty drink in hand. After a nice history lesson by our tour guide, we made our way to the distillery room, which was quite warm, but pretty neat to see how they small batch their whiskey. It was time to cool down and make our way back to the cocktail room where our whiskey tasting set-ups were already prepared for each person. This is where the fun began. Our tour guide led us through how to taste the different whiskey and find the various notes in each to determine what we liked best. It was like playing mad scientist to find your perfect blend to have bottled. Once we settled on our blend and ratios, the staff took our tags to bottle our personal creations, and we grabbed another drink while we waited. Aside from stopping into Baltimore Spirits Co. for a nice cocktail, take a tour, and blend your own bottle to really get a feel of how the whiskey is made.

They also have an area where they display the bottles of whiskey they sell. *I purchased a bottle of Eubie's Knees to make hot toddies when sick* The location is in a warehouse-style district with other establishments nearby if you want to explore before or after your visit. I noticed an ice cream shop and a coffee shop, which adds to the overall experience. Greg, our tour guide, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the entire whiskey-making process.
