    Complementary chips and salsa
    Lucy G.

Came here on Valentine's Day, and it was surprisingly, not busy at all, we got seated right away. The server started us off with the complementary chips and salsa, which I liked a lot. I tried a birria taco and to al pastor. They were both fantastic although I asked for salsa Verde with my tacos the server never came with it until I was finished with my meal. The fajitas were very good lots of flavor and lots of toppings for them as well. We also tried the fried ice cream and I would have to say I would not recommend this at all, it was not fried not even a little bit warm. It was just cold ice cream with some corn flakes on top. Overall I loved the place but the service needs improvement, it was very hard to get a hold of our server and the dessert wasn't good at all.

The Prickly Pear Margarita was AMAZING! I also had the cherry blossom Margarita that was like drinking kool-aid as a kid... it goes down fast! I had the blackened shrimp taco, carne asada taco and the al pastor taco..... all 3 were amazing. Omg I found my new favorite Mexican restaurant! The service was fabulous! The atmosphere is very chill.

    Plant Plant-Based Taco

I enjoy this place and probably eat here once a month. They have plant based menu items clearly marked, and plenty of options for omnivores. I love the nopales and plant based chorizo. Margaritas are hit or miss. They have one that claims to use real lime juice and I used to order it. 70% of the time very good and with tequila. This evening, we hoped to have taco Tuesday, but feared they took it away. No table tents like they used to have. Mind you, this only saves you $2 off the plato but still. We were eating here no matter what and asked the waitress if they still had it. The answer was a mystery until she brought the bill and said they did still have it. Yay! Ordered my usual taco plato (2 tacos and 2 sides). The portions have gotten really small. I compared my pictures of the exact same dish and see avocado missing, half the portion of beans and nopales. No bueno. Also experienced an employee spraying empty tables right next to ours when the restaurant was empty. That stuff gets everywhere. You can't wait until the only two customers are out? This was at 7:30 btw. I think he was bored and it was slow. Really want to continue supporting this local restaurant, but the value and service have declined.

There were many great things about this place, and lots of positives, but I am probably never going back. The décor here is cute. Nice set up. People who work here are nice and helpful. There is a nice menu with many choices. I liked the chips and salsa, they chips were nice and hot. The salsa was okay, neither the red nor the green had much flavor, but still satisfying to eat. I tried the house marg with salt. It was good, nothing spectacular that would make me want to get more. We also had a Mexican dark from a bottle and a Pacifico, which was fine. The kids got a couple n/a drinks, I like that they have that featured on the menu/ table top post. I also liked that you got a choice of two sides, and were not just forced to get beans and rice. I had the fries and lime cilantro rice. I also like that guach was considered a side and you did not have to pay extra. The portions of the burritos were very large, but the tacos were small. That being said, we all did have leftovers. The food was good, but not amazing enough to come back. I had mahi taco and beirria beef taco. The amazing thing on the menu was the corn salsa. That was so flavorful, I would come back just to order a container of that alone. It was so good. What I do not like as a customer and I have not said so in the past, but I am tired of it, is the upcharge for using a credit card. You cannot tell anymore, so many place either want credit card only, or prefer cash. It is really had to have that much cash on my at all times. I get it if I am at a flea market or craft show, where you are dealing with individual people. But a business, if you are going to charge me an extra percent in this economic condition then you better have good prices, an amazing product, or something to offer me as a customer that would make me want to come back to your business. This place did not. While it was good, I have had better elsewhere and cannot afford both high prices and an upcharge. So I cannot come back unless one of those factors changes.

Ordered Tijuana Caesar, 6 tacos for $28: 2 chicken tinga, 2 mahi mahi, 1 gringo, 1 pollo asada and 2 black bean sides. $63.08. They do give you a cash discount if you pay with cash. They are out of the Nopales or cactus for the tacos today. They have a picture of Topo Chico, but they don't have any to order for a drink at all, rather odd. The corn chips are fresh, crunchy and thick and good. The Tijuana salad is simple, but tasty, mostly the dressing and the avocado. The guacamole isn't bad at all, not a ton of flavor, but still tasty. The side of black beans are good, has some flavor and has celery and carrots with it, that's quite different for sure. The chicken tinga taco was quite flavorful and good, decent amount of meat in the tacos. Topped with cotija cheese crumbles. The salsa verde and the house salsa are both good, the hot salsa is good and spicy. The gringo and the pollo were both okay, covered in cheese. Their corn tortilla doesn't hold up so well and rips after your 1st bite of each taco. It would be better if they pan fried them before serving or double them up. Tacos on the corn will have some fallout for sure. Service is good and so is the food.

    Bowl of Chicken Tortilla soup.

I remember hearing that this place had great chicken tortilla soup so I got a quick carryout order of it... A bowl... I don't know what the hell they gave me for $5.30 but this thing is like the size of a ramekin, does a cup size exist, cause this is absolutely a disgrace. What a rip off for a "bowl" portion size soup?... meh..... I'd give it a six. Advice to management. Go to Cisco and order bigger size to go bowls.

Came here with some coworkers and a salesperson who took us to lunch twice now in the last weeks, and what' a pleasant surprise. Normally I would have just passed by this place, doesn't look like much from the outside and being in a strip mall, but I do recommend giving this place a try. The menu is not your typical Mexican that you would find in Michigan, they have wide variety of fresh creative items along with some traditional favorites. We had the guacamole, queso for starters, ver good. I had the shredded beef enchiladas both times, very good. The service is top notch, fast, friendly and efficient. They were surprisingly busy for a Monday lunch today. The ambience is clean and modern. Give them a try!

Visited many times, always exceptional service. The margaritas are great, chimichanga is always a go to, but I tell everyone that the street fries are life changing! I've brought family and friends here and they all agree!

Love Meshico!! Solid taco place with fresh flavors and great waitstaff. Inside is welcoming and clean. Couple different seating areas with booths, bartop, and a dining room area. They also have outdoor seating. Bathrooms are to the back right. Staff are always attentive and friendly. Menu wise, tons of options. Chips and salsa are complimentary (when they first opened you had to pay for them, smart move Meshico!) I always order the Taco Plato which includes your choice of 2 tacos and 2 sides. Tacos are always delicious and a good size. The refried beans and cilantro lime rice are my favorite. I usually order the shrimp tacos and carnitas. The shrimp are plump and the carnitas have good flavor. Don't forget to order dessert! Both the apple cinnamon taquitos and churros are absolutely amazing! Warm flavors and cool ice cream hits the spot.

Que Pasa Taqueria has ruined me for a lot of other Mexican spots in the best possible way. I've…read morebeen coming here for over five years, and at this point, it is one of the only places I'll go when I want tacos because everything else tends to leave me wondering why I didn't just come here in the first place. The tacos are every bit as good as people say and the environment is clean and relaxed, they usually have some good music playing too. Authentic, flavorful, consistent, and made with care. But the birria is the real star for me. Hands down, it is the best birria I've had anywhere in Metro Detroit. Rich, tender, packed with flavor, and exactly the kind of thing you think about again later like it owes you money. The owner is also genuinely one of the sweetest people. He remembered my order after only a few visits, and that kind of personal touch makes the place feel even more special. I usually stick with my Mexican Coke, but I love that they have their liquor license now, because a margarita or Corona with the food is a very solid upgrade. I've brought a bunch of people here and sent a whole handful of others, and everyone has said the same thing. It is some of the best Mexican food they've ever had. One of my friends even said it was better than what he had in California and Mexico, which is a bold statement, but Que Pasa can handle bold statements. Que Pasa is not just good for the area, it is the standard I compare everyone else to. Which is probably unfair to everyone else, but here we are.

We love Oaxaca (Troy), but thought we'd try out Que Pasa as well, while we were in the area. Oaxaca…read morereigns as local best in our opinion! Things that worked at Que Pasa: the margaritas were excellent, and all the food we tried (tortas, tacos, burritos, quesadillas) were very good too. Things that need work: there was definitely a language barrier ordering and requesting that they bill our three families separately. They were using a handheld machine for orders and it took three times going over our order before it was finally put in correctly. Although we asked for bills separated, we wound up with one bill, which was too tricky to split up the way they had entered everything, so we paid for everything and had to figure out $ later. Not a major deal, just a nuisance. Also, no AC and the seating was the type of wood that needs shellacking since the shine has worn off and it's sticky. You leave feeling sweaty and sticky, and that's not the way you want to feel on a hot day.
