Approximately 3 hours later I received a call telling me that the windshield was replaced but they couldn't get the recalibration to complete. When I asked for details I was told that it is not unusual to have problems with Subarus and OEM windshields. The consolation prize was that they would replace with a Subaru windshield for the same price. The quoted price was not contingent on their ability to recalibrate an OEM windshield so there shouldn't have even been a question about the price. I was given another appointment for 7/9 to replace the windshield AGAIN. Three hours later I get a call that once again the recalibration failed. They recommend I take it to the dealer. Consolation prize: I won't be charged for the recalibration - the recalibration they couldn't complete. Car tied up for two days, my time wasted dropping it off and picking it up and bottom line is that the windshield was replaced and I need to spend even more time now taking it to the dealer. It appears that Subaru windshields can be problematic so I'm not sure why there isn't more respect for the customers and being up front about that in the beginning. If I was told that I would have gone directly to the dealer. Instead, I thought this would be faster and easier. Wrong. No compensation at all. Will never use this company again and I will also spread the word.

Do better Safelight!! This is unacceptable..the tech told me that there was a 1/1000 chance that it wouldn't work.. never told me that it would create another crack/problem that they won't warranty. So now I have to go to someone reliable get a new windshield and replace the tint. My mind is blown..I thought Safelight was a reputable company. I worked for diamond auto glass and we would have NEVER done something like this to a customer!!
