Dr. Rust gave me instructions to care for my dog until I could get to the clinic. I live approx 1.5 hours away from the clinic but I felt like Dr. Rust was right by my dog's side the entire time. Never having been here before my first impression was that it was a very tidy, well kept, spacious clinic. We showed up with no appointment but the staff worked us in and we were seen immediately. It turned out that my girl had a serious infection raging inside her and needed hospitalization. After meeting Fallon and hearing her plan of action and going over our options I had no doubt that she would be well cared for and that Miley would have her best chance if she stayed with Fallon, as opposed to us trying to treat her at home. Unfortunately my girl didn't make it through the night but I really can't thank Fallon enough for sacrificing her weekend to care for my baby. We received regular updates on her condition and i truly feel that Fallon did all she could for Miley with the resources available to her. Her care, compassion, and professionalism to Miley, myself, and my husband will forever be appreciated.

I was so grateful for the weekend work and the reasonable fees, that I gave them a donation to their "indigent pet owners" fund.

My dog and I were greeted by a friendly and happy employee. I felt comfort in leaving my dog there for a few days. Rates are very reasonable. Employees attentive and kind. When I returned to pick up my dog they didn't know I was there yet - I noticed how kind they were treating the other dogs. Mine looked comfortable around them. Definitely will use Aspen Kennels again. My pup seemed happy and tired. Big bonus is that she didn't stink - which is the usual from other boarding places.

I called Jim, the owner on a last minute decision, during my business trip to Omak. The hotel I…read morewas at allows dogs, but I couldn't offer my dogs a safe area for them to run & exercise . This is where Jim came to the rescue, he called me back right away to say he could accommodate my 2 pitties right away, for 5 days! Keep in mind, this is a pet resort, but it's not a salon. They don't groom dogs, but they offer bathing, depending how well natured your fur baby is. You need to bring leash, collar & food. Blankets/bedding, treats & any toys for your fur friends are up to you, if you want to bring or not, but it's not necessary. Jim has a FANTASTIC environment for dogs, where they can run around & play. There is even a shallow pool/pond (I'm guessing it's for the summer months). There are several runs that he offers to allow a bunch of dogs, & he lets them out 5-6x/day, for break time & outdoor playing. The building that the dogs are housed is very clean & the inside temperature was quite comfortable. The individual "rooms" have plenty of space to lay around & for some small play (chewing on your favorite ball). Fortunately, my 2 pits were able to share a kennel, to keep each other company. I felt very comfortable having Jim care for our dogs. He responds to your texts quickly, no matter if it's receiving your dog's vaccination info, to how your is doing. When we went to pick up the dogs, they were happy & look well cared. I'll definitely be giving Jim a call, when I'm back in Omak with my 2 pitties. Thank you again for taking the stress off my shoulders.

The vet had an opening for walk in and we were seen almost immediately. I spoke with Katherine at the front and she was wonderful. Super friendly. Helped get all his papers in order and put us in a room within the first 10min walking in the door. shortly after, Gina came in and we discussed Komos current condition and past medical history. She gave him lots of attention / love before beginning the exam. Even feeling under the weather, I've never seen him so calm with a vet. He sat in her lap after the exam (because 80lb dogs make the best lap dogs)! She understood that we are currently on a cross country road trip and provided us with a nice sized stack of Chlorhexidine Scrub Pads and prescribed him Cephalexin and Rimadyl (his injury was deep enough that tendon was visible through a good sized hole). She shaved the area and flushed it out and tended to his ears which also needed cleaning. She gave me enough info for ways to help it heal and so far so good. Gina suggested I only give him Rimadyl that first night and then as needed after..she is right. Pain pills make him sluggish, which we both hate, and due to the antibiotics and wipes, he doesn't seem to be in pain luckily. Overall great experience considering the circumstances for the visit.

Besides lots of pet accessories, supplies, treats, and food they carry a nice assortment of gifts for the pet lover. So even if you don't have a pet, it's worth popping in! The staff was super friendly, too, even on a busy Saturday with random quilters popping in all day long.
