1 Star I had an…read moreextremely upsetting experience with Omak Animal Hospital and would not recommend them. Last week, my 14-year-old Yorkie was in critical condition. I called around desperately trying to find help and was told by Becky I had to pay $130 upfront just to be seen because it was considered an emergency. After arriving, we waited about 45 minutes while my dog continued to struggle. When we were finally seen, the vet provided a high-cost estimate that only addressed symptoms and did not give us clear guidance on whether this was end-of-life. Then we were told the clinic was closing for lunch and we could return later--but likely wouldn't be seen again for hours. At that point, we left because our dog needed immediate care. We went to Okanogan Veterinary Clinic instead, where they got us in right away and treated us with compassion and honesty. We ultimately had to put our dog down. The situation got worse afterward. A week later, Omak Animal Hospital called demanding payment for labs. When I called to pay the $200 bill, Becky told me it was now $250 because they had "held a spot" for me. She also claimed my initial $130 payment had been reversed (which I did not do), She accused me of stopping my bank from payment, and said I owed $200 plus additional fees of 50$ because they held a spot for us! When I tried to resolve the situation and pay what I owed, Becky transferred me to Cindy, who was immediately rude, talked over me, and threatened collections and small claims court. She also said she didn't trust me to call back and pay, even though I was actively trying to pay during that call. This experience was stressful, unprofessional, and completely lacking compassion--especially during a time when I had just lost my dog. I strongly suggest going somewhere else for care.

This woman (bob light brown or blonde, tall, slender ) came into the room I was waiting for a veterinarian, stood and said nothing. I had to ask if she was there to look at my cat. She was extremely ill mannered the entire time. She commanded me to hold my cat, then without any warnings, she inserted a stick into my cat anal. If she told me that's what she was going to do, I would cover my cat's head and legs with a cloth. When I explained to her about the cares received from another veterinarian prior, she acted as if I was lying and said " what? is it really? oh, I have to check that", and ran to back room. When I showed her my cat's woulds, she just stood in the room, and ignored me. I suggest you don't let this woman touch your pet or even come close to you and pet. Her behaviors are disgusting.

My dog and I were greeted by a friendly and happy employee. I felt comfort in leaving my dog there for a few days. Rates are very reasonable. Employees attentive and kind. When I returned to pick up my dog they didn't know I was there yet - I noticed how kind they were treating the other dogs. Mine looked comfortable around them. Definitely will use Aspen Kennels again. My pup seemed happy and tired. Big bonus is that she didn't stink - which is the usual from other boarding places.

We live in the Republic area but we travel to Colville for our vetting needs. The other day, I…read morelearned that the brand of prescription food two of my cats need (each cat on a different script formula, of course!) is experiencing a national shortage. The vet that holds the prescriptions is actually in a different state, so I called that vet clinic and explained the problem. It was explained that if I could find a vet locally to my current location, the vet holding the scripts would call the vet here that sold that particular prescription food as a courtesy to me. In this search of a vet who vends this prescription diet, I found Alpine. Kim bent over backward to help me with my dilemma. Alpine only had one of the two formulas in stock, but they happily assisted me. When I walked through the door, Kim was full of smiles (through her mask) and immediately completed our transaction. I am not an Alpine client, however, I plan to take care of that this week by having all of our kids' records transferred from the Colville vet to Alpine. The Colville vet would not have stepped up even though we have been clients for 18 months and have spent thousands at their clinic. In reading over the reviews for Alpine, there are a few unhappy clients, but there are two sides to every story. If Alpine were truly as neglectful as these unhappy clients state, Alpine would not stay in business for very long. Thank you, Alpine. We will be back, and this time with our furkids...and for more prescription diet bags!

I needed a health certificate for travel with my pet and I was promised multiple times by the vet and the vet tech that the return shipping label, which I paid for, would be 2day expedited shipping. They took my money, lied to my face and shipped it ground. They had every opportunity to correct it before it shipped knowing there were delays with USDA and they just KEPT LYING until I found out from FedEx tracking that they only purchased a ground label and the certificate is now arriving 4 days after it expires; A useless piece of paper that cost hundreds of dollars. They did not offer to refund a dime, and because of their lies I have spent thousands of dollars to make arrangements that I will never be able to recover and my cat now has to go back to my friends and can't come home with me. I am furious and DO NOT recommend this vet. It's the dishonestly paired with the complete lack of accountability for me. If you take your pet here, know they will lie to you with smiles on their faces while they rob you blind and don't even provide the service you paid for.

But as soon as we drove off, she fell right asleep. That's a sign of a good dog boarding place - they keep them active all day long to minimize stress. It also happened to be our dog's birthday weekend, so they took a few photos of her with a birthday hat on. I know, kinda gay, but Coco HATES hats but in these pics, she actually looks like she's smiling. It's small touches like this that really show how much they care about creating a great experience for each dog staying with them. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, you can tell dogs are their life. Their only stipulation is that you have to have your dog's medical paperwork in order. Rates are very affordable, considering the remoteness of the place, yet the relative proximity to Chelan. If you're spending the weekend around Lake Chelan and you want your dog somewhere safe and secure nearby, try this place.

Beautiful working ranch experience for the whole family! Spent four wonderful days with extended…read morefamily ages four to sixty...everyone had a great time. Nice large clean rooms, friendly staff, 70 horses to ride and tons of other activities. During our stay we rode horses daily, explored an old cave, swam in the near by lake, fed baby animals including an orphan fawn, archery, trap shooting, nightly camp fires, Fishing in the creek, and helped round up the horses in the morning/evening with Kathy. There was even more to do. Food was served family style and staff was helpful. Hospitality was incredible, we WILL be returning next year. Town of Republic is close and cute..also has an amazing fossil dig site called Stonerose, we spent two days digging for cool fossils. Long drive was well worth it and we had fun driving up highway 21...with the extra bonus of taking the free ferry! Our eight year old cried for thirty minutes after we left, it was hands down the best trip/experience we have had.

Please be aware the dog was a larger size Yorke looking dog we tried to get her name but the baby had no collar and the lady would give it to us. It sounded like she was stuck and we know she was cold! clearly cold with temperature 40 degrees and falling. Please be aware the dog came right up to my friend. The lady gave excuses like she needed to go to the bathroom but when I arrived nobody was monitoring her and she was freezing! If you think this was your dog I would be happy to confirm. Just FYI it also appears the kennel has no heat.

I have known the owner for over 6 years. She is super responsible and extremely sensitive to any…read moreanimal's care. She also was a 501C3 animal rescue before starting up her boarding business. She is super reliable and goes out of her way to accommodate people and their animals. She is a rare and honest person, and so is her staff. They all go the extra mile and are super easy to deal with. I have taken lost dogs I have found to her, and she never charges the owners when they come to retrieve their lost pup. She is the best, and I would trust her with my dear and sweet dogs anytime.
