While outside doing chores, my dog was shot with a gun! It happened in the evening (it was just getting dusky out side). I called the emergency number, and lucky for me, Dr. Rust was on-call that evening. I had difficulty getting my dog's bleeding to stop. Dr. Rust gave me instructions to care for my dog until I could get to the clinic. I live approx 1.5 hours away from the clinic but I felt like Dr. Rust was right by my dog's side the entire time. Dr. Rust has the experience to care for animals in critical emergent situations (with successful outcomes) and to manage your pets health overall health (vaccinations, wellness checks)‍‍‍

Never having been here before my first impression was that it was a very tidy, well kept, spacious clinic. We showed up with no appointment but the staff worked us in and we were seen immediately. It turned out that my girl had a serious infection raging inside her and needed hospitalization. After meeting Fallon and hearing her plan of action and going over our options I had no doubt that she would be well cared for and that Miley would have her best chance if she stayed with Fallon, as opposed to us trying to treat her at home. Unfortunately my girl didn't make it through the night but I really can't thank Fallon enough for sacrificing her weekend to care for my baby. We received regular updates on her condition and i truly feel that Fallon did all she could for Miley with the resources available to her. Her care, compassion, and professionalism to Miley, myself, and my husband will forever be appreciated.

Last winter, I…read morehad a farm call scheduled, that morning I got a call that an emergency visit had to be seen, and he would be a few minutes later than scheduled. I had already been out in zero weather for almost half an hour and needed to go inside for the bathroom. He came while I was inside. I saw there was a text on my phone, saying "He was here, rang the doorbell, but no one answered, so he left." Problem: I don't have a doorbell. He came into the porch to knock or even knock on the storm door (my 4 dogs would have gone ballistic, letting me know. I called him and was spoken to with such anger and contempt, informing me that he couldn't come back (he'd literally been gone 3 minutes) and wasn't coming back my way later. I asked if I would be billed for the farm call, and he said, "he would see about that". Well, apparently, his way of handling it was to decide not to serve my horse ever. Because I called for a farm call for my sick horse, and he refused and even wouldn't do a haul-in appointment for me. Hurt my horses, and you are out of my world. I've given him plenty of my dog business and even worked with him on a rescue dog issue, and I was very impressed with his care. But I'm done now, no room for petty, immature behavior. I would have paid the 80 bucks for a missed farm call even though it wasn't 100% my fault (70+ year old bladder) but then he might have still treated me like he did....

I'm so glad I didn't wait because Dr Shelton and the folks at the Lake Chelan Veterinary Hospital are above and beyond... 1) Dr Shelton is everything you'd want in a Vet (and much more): attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and conscientious of pet owners' finances. He completely put my (normally grumpy) pup at ease. He took more time that I expected to make sure I understood and was satisfied with my pup's health and any next steps. 2) They are convenient: I got an appointment the same day I called. 3) It was clear Dr Shelton builds rapport with his customers: everyone coming and going seemed to have some kind of 'hello' or positive interaction with him. I highly recommend this practice. I'd take my dog back to Dr Shelton in heart beat.

He came highly recommended to me by my vet in Issaquah, Wash., when we moved to Chelan last year. Dr. Shelton listened carefully and thoughtfully to me, the customer, and in fact asked specifically how much treatment I really wanted for my geriatric 19-year old kitty when I brought him in before proceeding with any tests or examinations. He explained things thoroughly and respectfully and offered several treatment options for his condition. His goal and mine were to make my kitty as comfortable as possible until he was ready to go. The staff at this clinic are the cream of the crop. They truly love animals. They are caring, kind and thorough. They called regularly to check on my kitty's progress and offered to be available if I needed them in an emergency. I would highly recommend this clinic and this staff of professionals.

We live in the Republic area but we travel to Colville for our vetting needs. The other day, I…read morelearned that the brand of prescription food two of my cats need (each cat on a different script formula, of course!) is experiencing a national shortage. The vet that holds the prescriptions is actually in a different state, so I called that vet clinic and explained the problem. It was explained that if I could find a vet locally to my current location, the vet holding the scripts would call the vet here that sold that particular prescription food as a courtesy to me. In this search of a vet who vends this prescription diet, I found Alpine. Kim bent over backward to help me with my dilemma. Alpine only had one of the two formulas in stock, but they happily assisted me. When I walked through the door, Kim was full of smiles (through her mask) and immediately completed our transaction. I am not an Alpine client, however, I plan to take care of that this week by having all of our kids' records transferred from the Colville vet to Alpine. The Colville vet would not have stepped up even though we have been clients for 18 months and have spent thousands at their clinic. In reading over the reviews for Alpine, there are a few unhappy clients, but there are two sides to every story. If Alpine were truly as neglectful as these unhappy clients state, Alpine would not stay in business for very long. Thank you, Alpine. We will be back, and this time with our furkids...and for more prescription diet bags!

I needed a health certificate for travel with my pet and I was promised multiple times by the vet and the vet tech that the return shipping label, which I paid for, would be 2day expedited shipping. They took my money, lied to my face and shipped it ground. They had every opportunity to correct it before it shipped knowing there were delays with USDA and they just KEPT LYING until I found out from FedEx tracking that they only purchased a ground label and the certificate is now arriving 4 days after it expires; A useless piece of paper that cost hundreds of dollars. They did not offer to refund a dime, and because of their lies I have spent thousands of dollars to make arrangements that I will never be able to recover and my cat now has to go back to my friends and can't come home with me. I am furious and DO NOT recommend this vet. It's the dishonestly paired with the complete lack of accountability for me. If you take your pet here, know they will lie to you with smiles on their faces while they rob you blind and don't even provide the service you paid for.
