I wanted to give a 5 star review for Phillip ! His customer service was top notch. He seen my issue with my payment and billing info . He took ownership of the issue and even spent 40 minutes on the phone with the customer service rep who refused to help. He was very persistent in resolving my issue. In the end Metro customer service couldn't help , but for him to do all the leg work and his overall effort to not take no for answer , that really impressed me and makes me feel valued as a customer. Lost my phone the other day and was in such a hurry to get a new one that I forgot to check Yelp first. That would have saved me a lot of time and traveling on a day that I was very pressed for time. Called first and spoke to Gina who confirmed they had the phone I wanted and she even gave me the price. Drove there and they didn't have a display model but the guy didn't say why. He said they, "Only have new ones and they're in the back". Went next door to T-Mobile to check out a display model. Came back into this Metro store and had to wait for a customer who just walked in. 15 minutes later, the sales guy goes to the back and comes out to say, "I thought we had some in stock, but they're sold out". read more

Writing this review because I found my experience didn't reflect the negative reviews I saw while previously searching where to buy my phone. I am 7 months pregnant and was super concerned about going into a Metro store to get a new phone during the pandemic, but showed up right as they opened at a less-busy time to avoid any crowds. All staff was wearing masks properly and observing safety measures. Victoria took care of me, and was exemplary in helping me with my service and with taking ALL precautions with Covid. I felt very safe with her helping me, she wore her mask properly, gave me distance, put on gloves when handling my devices and debit card, and even sprayed down a pen with alcohol before I used it. Victoria is the reason why I felt safe coming in person to purchase my new phone that I badly needed. If I ever have any phone issues in the future I know I can count on the safety measures they have in place and go in-person to this location, without worries. Apart from safety, she was the best associate I've ever dealt with in Metro PCS stores. Friendly, helpful, very professional, but also very kind and patient. I recommend coming to this location despite the bad reviews, based on what I observed from the employees in the store. Dealing with customers at a Metro store during a pandemic has got to be, well, challenging, at times. I appreciate their efforts in customer service and safety during this time. Had A little run in with Victoria. Victoria Victoria was rude aggressive and very unprofessional. Victoria was explaining a promotion to me but explaining it multiple times and not understanding the fact that I was willing to give up my number so to get her to understand that I was giving up my number I turn my phone over and placed it on the on the table and said this phone is out of the picture now I'm eligible for a program correct. So I returned today to return the iPhone I purchased from this store and of course I had the misfortune of dealing with Phillip again. He was obnoxiously ruder this time! Samsung A10 failed to function returned 24 hrs after spending 4 hours trying to create a free Amazon prime account but the software on phone failed. Screen continued to go black unable to place calls to Metro because touch screen too flaky Returned phone to this store with a master reset that failed to fix the phone. Returned again since no Amazon Prime setup unable to verify prime membership to order products or use Prime. This store changed my phone number told me wait 48 hrs then Prime would be again set up by this store. 48 hours later still no Prime Membership told to again wait 24 hrs then the store would reset my Prime again. As of 15 days from paying for services with Prime included my account still fails to function. Cost of daily calls hours on phone that disconnected no quality control or real customer service with correct date for actual account hopefully starting after another call reaching another supervisor who agreed that store error of incorrect solution for creating working Amazon Prime Account. Hopefully by 11:00 p.m on February 10, 2020 new account shall begin going forward with trip to store for the fourth time to pickup replacement new phone NOT the Samsung A10 but another phone with another testing of software with hardware since the customers now must obtain computer degree to verify a smartphone actually functions as it was designed! Testing fee of $50 hour x 20 hours = $1000 owed by Metro to me for failing to kill my account along with providing another phone if they had listened to my advice graduate of Cal Poly Pomona Computer Information Systems 1985. Account closed by Corporate Supervisor who stated he would call this store to provide different phone. If additional charges the employee who changed my telephone number promising malfunctioning phone should receive Amazon Prime membership on changed number failed to verify that fact thus another phone number my third in 16 days must get setup at store again wasting 16 days of my time unable to finish work that has cost hundreds of $ from this employee's wages my hourly rate pictures taken of daily text messages trying to verify my new Samsung A10 junked the serial number by myself and Metro supervisor notified Samsung returned to manufacturer!. Old account closed ! Money already paid was transferred to a new account when I received a different new phone that actually "functions" this employee woman failed to create new account which should have been accomplished on at least within 7 day return window on malfunctioning phone. Metro Corp regards unable to send verifying 6 digit code to Metro phone even the day after Signin with Amazon Prime failed reported to Metro and this store. The Samsung A10 is JUNK ! The Hotspot hardware functions OK so Far only used from after my phone was cancelled with my I Pad Mini 4 which already has a cancelled TMobile SIM installed last year because store next to this Metro store had saleswoman who lied about not activating additional SIMs purchased for possible phone setup IPhone 6 Plus transferred because Verizon drops my and my employer's Premium Visual Voicemail on weekly basis ! Master reset by TMobile last year with backup they promised to install back to that very phone didn't happen with a promise from that Supervisor brand new IPhone to replace empty I 6. Required to visit Apple store for reinstallation of everything back to phone Reva destroyed at TMobile next door to Metro! This was the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. The employee, Keke, was rude and obviously didn't want to help anyone. We ended up going two blocks away to sun valley Mall branch and was not only a pleasant experience, but a lot cheaper. Keke was going to overcharge me. My family and I just moved to Concord a month ago. Now that we're settled in, it was time to spoil ourselves for brand new phones. I told my husband our limited/budget is $700 for 2 new upgrade phones. We were excited, finally new phones after almost 1.5 years. You could imagine how slow it our phones were. The reception was horrible and our phones were definitely slow. It was time and I was super excited. We walked into the store with our 4 year old. No one greeted us, and we just looked around. Finally someone came to help us out and I was disappointed. Long story short, he couldn't answer my questions, he was reading off the price tags. The associate didnt look upbeat, didnt seem he was excited to help us..... I gave up. I told my husband Ill get the cheap one, $200 upgrade , and I was ready to go home. I explained to my husband that Im going to get the cheap one and in 3 months we can switch to Xfinity mobile. I wasnt going to drop alot of money for bad service both customer service and phone quality. I left the store with my son and sat in the car. I was upset. Sat in the car to write this review. Then the associate that was "helping" came outside to talk on his phone and he sounded more upbeat on the phone than he was talking to us!! How rude !! Salesman was adamant that I could not get the advertised discount on a phone without charging me $60 (equal to the advertised discount.) for a phone case and screen protector. Stating they were bundled in, but we're clearly separate on the receipt. Never had this experience with other Metro dealers. Shady sales practices to rob customers for sales and commissions... WOW, METRO PCS HAS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! (Said no one, ever.) But first, a quick nod to the carrier overall. How would I HONESTLY rate Ghettro? Decent value is about where it ends. I really do love that my no-contract plan is only $40/month (tax-included), with unlimited talk/text and 500MB/month of data usage. I feel like I get what I pay for. Regarding the cell reception, I find it inconsistent, and have experienced a fair number of dropped calls, especially lately. In fact, the only consistent thing about Metro PCS is its consistently bad customer service, and this branch is no exception. In FACT, I'm so tired of the bad customer service that I can't decide whether I just want to make a Haiku about it or type out a list of words that best describe the customer service I've experienced at every branch visited thus far... I came to this store before and the previous young lady was helpful (unfortunately I can't remember her name) but the young man I met today Jose was totally worthless. I had told him I have been at the store before about the same problem and it appears that he was not listening because he continually repeated I had to delete all the data on the phone , which I had told him I had done before and wanted to know what will be different this time. His option was delete. it myself, have them delete it or I purchase a new phone. I asked for a manager then he lied and said he was a manager, then I asked why doesn't his name tag says so. But then he later went to allegedly the manager, then I said to him: I thought you were a manager why did you have to lie. Additionally he told me the warranty is only good if the phone is damaged or lost or stolen so do I have to break the phone or lose it just to get some service? The stores offers very bad services and this has been the worst one. Coming from my blackberry with AT&T I think I need to go back because having an inexpensive phone plan is not working. Horrible! I had a few problems with my Samsung S5. I went in to this Corporate Store on 4 occasions. All they could offer was a 'hard restart', which created several problems, lost all my aps, pain in the butt. They offered no help or service and our family pays almost $170 a month. There only recommendation.... buy a new $700 phone. Jose the "manager" was a real POS and couldn't have been more, 'we just don't care' attitude. I must of spent 2 or 3 hours with these 'we just don't know a friggin' thing about fixing your cell phone' folks. I then went to the independent Metro Store in Park and Shop a few doors from Fry's. Israel the manager was fantastic!! He fixed my phone in less than 5 minutes and was a gentleman and very pleasant in assisting me.... AT NO COST!! Metro PCS is a company you do not want to do business with. I ordered a phone from the company and received a defective phone. The company refused to give a refund, insisting that I mailed the phone back and that it would take up to four weeks to get a refund. Shipped the phone back and it sat at the post office for eight days then was shipped back to me. Don't waste your breath with Metro PCS. read more

My husband forgot his PIN and so we went to this corporate store so we can get his PIN. The guy named Jose was rude and unhelpful even though he was just standing at the counter and not helping anybody. He told us to just call the 800 number. Later, I received a bill for $300 for those accessories and when taken back to the store he frankly turned away from what he has officially told me the day I bought the phone. I read the reviews before posting and have to say I am shocked I didn't read this before going to the Metro PCS Corporate store in Pleasant Hill,CA the store is so nice looking inside but hardly any customers, 9 registers empty, I wonder why? They sit there twiddling on their phones and joking with eachother until a customer calls or walks in needing assistance, they want to get rid of you as quickly as possible if that means being rude and short with you and hanging up the phones and so on, they will do it. Mark my words. I am surprised I read a review about Jose that was over a year old and sure enough I have had problems with Jose twice in 2018. He claims to be a manager but acts like a new hire. In fact he is not the actual store manager but throws that out there as a way to basically shut a person down from speaking to the actual manager. If you ask when the manager will be there, they basically give you the run around and will not let you know. I totally agree, regarding the staff at this store, they have the worst customer service skills. I believe they do behave as if they hate their jobs. The actual store manager Roland is a pretty nice guy, I just feel its a shame these employees are ruining it for the store and Metro Customers. I am a long time metro customer since early 2000's and the staff here really are a disgrace to the company. They actually will not even smile if you smile and greet them nicely. They frown and give you this angry face as if you are bothering them. I sat outside in my car and could clearly see the manager was in the store. I called and asked to speak to the manager, Jose flat out lied to me and said he is not there and is out on break. However that was the same thing he told me 3 hours prior and when I repeatedly asked when the manager would return from break they said we can't give out any private information. I was flabbergasted by the responses and attitudes. They act like you are out to kill someone. Its very unsually lizard brain dominant behavior. I just say, go in there and see for yourself.
