I had a problem with carpet that Metro installed just 12 months ago. It was actually the manufacturer's problem but we were unable to get the manufacturer to respond. George and Metro Floors removed the damaged carpet and replaced it free of charge with new carpet. Now that is good customer service! read more

I have shopped here since they were formally known as world of floors on the corner of Faust in Detroit. The installers don't follow directions and are lazy. They put my new flooring over the existing flooring and we're supposed to remove the old flooring. Avoid shopping here. You will end up disappointed and mad. Home Depot and Menards has a better selection and service. And the own er George does nothing about Thier lazy no good installers. read more

Not a good company to work with, and the store manager is argumentative and not customer friendly. Staff overpromises on what can be done, and the installer in not informed about what is actually required to do the job. Complete misunderstanding on the part of the company because they attempted to install the way they wanted instead of what I requested, and I explained clearly with everyone involved including estimator, sales staff and follow-up calls to clarify expectations. The installer showed up 6 hours late after confirming a start time the day before. The installer finally came out to the job and had no understanding of what was to take place and immediately balked at the work required to replace the flooring. They took pictures prior and understood completely what I was requesting and what was required to repair flooring properly. Completely agreed to terms put down half, but installers never performed work. If you choose to do business with them, then make them include In your contract, all details of what is to be done, including materials involved, cost of materials and labor separately, all supplies that are needed, including quantity, quality, what finishing touches will be applied including gluing, caulking and where it needs to be applied, write out all expectations and requirements clearly, if the blow it off and just put a generic installation, repair, complete statement, refuse to do business with them. Those statements are vague and generic and have no basis in a court of law, those statements mean nothing. Also read their terms and how they resolve any issues. It favors the company on all levels and gives the buyer littler recourse, to resolve issues without you paying a penalty. You are also allowing a lean on your home for any none payment. It is clearly stated in their terms, don't allow that statement. Write everything out and demand a discount for every hour that the staff is late for installation. Otherwise, you have no recourse, and they can blow you as long as they want. Or overpromise and then try to change the terms of the contract that they agreed too because they wrote out generic terms in the contract. I would stay away from these guys, I gave them a chance, they were disappointing on all levels. Staff seem very friendly but seem to have little concern for the final outcome. I did receive a refund, but not a good outcome. Wasted money for hotel stay to allow for work to be performed unencumbered, and no compensation was offered for my loss. They are a great place to go if you want to be able to see everything together (Flooring, backsplash, counters) but I cannot recommend their installers. While they did attempt to make it right by sending their "number one guy" out and gave me a little bit of a discount, I'm still cleaning up the mess they left at my house. I'm not a complainer and hesitated to leave this review but every day I'm cleaning up their mess. read more

Downstairs:: So I took the day off work and have been waiting here since 930am cause they were supposed to come this morning .. then they said 130-3pm.. then at 430pm they call me and say someone will be here between 7-8pm only to show up finally and say that the remanent was measure wrong and won't fit the area and they are closed til Tuesday Upstairs :: while laying the carpet in my living room the cut a slice all the way around my brand new base molding , then after much debate for them to come back and repair it , they brought the wrong color white and paint over the cut anyways . This is the most unprofessional business I've ever dealt with and I won't be returning and I warn fellow locals to stay away even if they try to hustle, you'll pay for it one way or the other. Not to mention it's totally shady how they don't post prices on anything and basically try to scam u at every turn read more

We shopped all around for carpet for our newly finished basement. We found just what we wanted at Metro Carpet in Canton. It was helpful to see the whole roll right in-store, as opposed to a 6" swatch on a board found at other stores. There was some confusion - from write-up to installation - about how the carpet would meet up to the floating vinyl plank flooring pub section already laid; the installers were polite, patient, and professional about it. They did high quality workmanship. We saved a lot of money versus all the big box stores and other carpet stores. The end result is just fabulous! read more

I have used Metro Floors Dearborn Heights for multiple homes through out the years. Vito, along with installers are top notch! From the order, to coordination of install...seamless. Highly recommend. If customer service is important to you, then DO NOT use this company. I used the Canton branch to get my floors done. They beat Home Depot's price by about $200. However the process was painful. I had to do the follow ups (re getting estimates, quotes, and work schedule) They're not very good at returning calls AT ALL. But I wanted to give them a second chance cos Im all for small, local companies. Then I needed more floors done and I had to call so many other times just to get a quote. I called beginning Thurs and everyday after. They finally said someone can come to measure after 4 days . The day before they came to measure, they told me they do granite countertops too. Abe (the Main guy in Canton) came to measure on Tuesday and said he'll give me the quote in the AM. Then the next morning, another guy called to say he needed to measure for the granite (again!) . I called the store to ask re my quote and who's this guy coming to my home to measure a second time. I finally gave up when I called and the guy at the store was so rude. I told him I've had to wait for days to get my measurements (in order to get a quote) and he wanted to argue about his cousin not being there yet, me not doing my homework, etc. Excuse me, but if Im about to spend lots of $$$ (for floors and kitchen granite), I expect GREAT or at the very least, GOOD customer service. Communication re price, and time schedule should be relayed, without me having to seek it out REPEATEDLY. Anyways, all in all , VERY POOR customer service and a so-so job. read more

Absolutely horrible! Estimated time was 9:30-10:30 they came at 1 and had no idea what they were suppose to do!! I didn't blame them because they were contracted out! I'm adding a post because I had a problem develop several months after my installation of floors. My toilet started wobbling which is was not doing before the floor installation. After attempting to tighten the bolt we learned it was full of some kind of sealant under the hole that had broken free. We couldn't even get the bolt out. So I called Metro and was told to try and find a handy man. Well the plumber charged me 500 to repair the goof up the floor guys caused when they tried to put the toilet back. They cracked the flange. It would have cost more if the plumber was not able to avoid tearing out the wall to get to the pipe. Long story short EVEN IF THEY TELL YOU CAN TAKE THE TOILET OUT WITH NO PROBLEM DON'T LET THEM IT MAY COST YOU MORE LATER. We redid all of our basement flooring and our carpet upstairs here. These guys know what they're doing. Mo Dagher is a HUGE help and will make sure everything is done flawlessly. My floors look amazing and they did it so quickly and most importantly they did a CLEAN job. I'll never go anywhere else for my flooring needs and I'll definitely go to them for granite too. Salesman showed up on time. Prepared. Had samples all ready. Measured every corner. Arranged to get carpet and linoleum done on our 900sq house. Priced reasonable. Arranged for date. Then a single worker appeared on arranged date. Others called to confirm they were coming, but were no shows. Called and complained. A single guy appears the next evening and does half the carpet work. Linoleum work was shoddy. So they sent a guy to fix that. Didn't replace trim as I paid for. Gave me the WRONG CARPET. Told me that I got better carpet and I should be happy with it (the sample They left behind is cheap and less finely woven, and wasn't what I paid for!). Marked up several of my newly painted walls. After days of working with them, I gave up. I'm selling this house anyway and I wash my hands of this. Paid them and told them never again. read more

Terrible service. I don't recommend it to anyone. My aunt got her carpet done last week and when I came back from my trip, it was horrific thing to watch. I don't like their job at all. They never pick up the phone when I try to reach them. Absolutely terrible people when it comes to being on time and honest. 100% unsatisfied. read more
