I appreciate that I am able to book appointments via email. And I love the covered garage even though it is not heated. Please note that the dental office is on the 2nd floor of the garage, so if you park there you can practically walk up to the dentist office. Also a convenience, this appears to be a one stop shop for all your dental needs including root canals and orthodontist. However, I must admit that I haven't found a dentist in this office I quite trust. Before I came here, I was told that I had 6 cavities in my mouth. (I brush my teeth but have very weak enamel). My first dental exam here, I was told that I have 3 cavities. Still not sure how I remineralized 3 cavities...shrug. Then when I returned for my 6 month checkup with a different dentist in the same office, I was told I now have an additional cavity which brings my number up to 4. Hopefully, you can understand my hesitation in getting anything professionally filled by this office. Anyone have a dentist they recommend?? My husband had an appt for today and has lost his wallet so had no Drivers License ID. The person who should have checked us in would not accept my insurance cards(the insurance is in my name and also covers my husband's dental care). I showed my driver's license but she said she had to see his. Then told me I was being aggressive and told me to leave. I felt it could have been handled much more professionally and her rudeness should not be tolerated by the manager of the office staff. It seems to me there would be other methods of verifying his name and records. Very upset with how she handled this situation. read more

I am very upset with their scheduling system. I haven't been able to get dental hygiene since before the pandemic started. I always stay up with scheduling appointments in advance, but it has been a mission impossible to get a cleaning. Every time I schedule an appointment, it gets canceled, and to reschedule it's months aways. I just called and they told me that their next availability is until December! It's been more than two years since this has happened! It's unbelievable! read more

The absolute worst dental clinic. They never answer the phone, billing statements are horrible (how about listing the date of service and the actual service being billed for), billing is late (21 months after supposed service? come on!), you have to wait 6+ months to get in for preventive care, the website and phone recordings don't list their hours, but the voice recordings say "if you are calling after hours...". How could one possibly know their business hours. Regarding care, they're always trying to get you to "fix" things that aren't broken. Like replacing crowns you're not even having issues with. I stopped going to this dental clinic for all these reasons. It's the worst. read more

I would give it a zero if I could. I have been there a few times a while ago. I had a filling that recently cracked (pretty sure they are supposed to last more than a few years). I have a huge toothache now so I called and have spoken to 3 different people. The first told me I would be put on some list to get in and could "only see the dentist I originally saw" the second told me the first appointment would be March 20th for the "ASAP appointment". I called again asking if they could release my dental x-Ray from the past because I wanted to see a dentist sooner and she said to go to their website for some form for release of records. It wasn't there. There was a "live chat" option so I asked in that and the person sent me a link to sign up for a new patient. I had a horrible time with Dr. Pearce. In my previous visit, he told me that I needed deep cleaning before I can proceed to have my next dental procedure. I took a day off from work so I can do the deep cleaning at this clinic. When I get there, the nurse told me that they can't perform deep cleaning that day and there is nothing they can do. They asked me whether I want to talk to Dr. Pearce, I agreed thinking he can do something to help since it is hard for me to ask for another day off from work. Instead of being helpful, he kept pushing off the problem by asking whether I can afford the deep cleaning work and whether the previous doctor from another Metro dental requested this procedure even though it was him that requested me to make this appointment. During the whole ordeal, he was rude and unprofessional due to my language barrier. Worse, in the patient report, he wrote that he would not recommend other Metrodental care offices to see me, despite his own error and I professionalism. I definitely won't go back to this dental office again and would not recommend anyone from doing so. read more

For nearly ten years, I've dealt with their billing department's incompetence. I always make a point to ask if any money is due before leaving, I'm told no, I never receive an invoice from them, then a month or so later I get a "your account is past due" letter in the mail. I've repeatedly let them know I"m happy to pay immediately once I know I have a balance, but without being invoiced, I have no knowledge of money owed. They have notes on my account to call me before sending out any type of past due letter, but they continue to do so every single time I visit (twice a year). The last visit, for the first time since I"ve been their patient, I actually did get an invoice (progress, I'm thinking!). I paid it the same day, and over a week after the payment cleared my bank account, a past due letter was generated and mailed to me. To be clear, this was not mail time, the letter was dated over a week after the payment cleared my account. They do not seem to be able to send an invoice, or make a phone call to let me know I owe them money as their internal notes say to do, but I do get a phone call twice a year on my work phone calling to confirm another patient's upcoming appointment. Today I let them know I'm not Curtis and I don't have an appointment tomorrow, and the same person called back less than two minutes later and left a message for Curtis again on my work phone confirming tomorrow's appointment. It's unfortunate, because I really am happy with the service that my dental hygienist provides, but I'm just fed up with their customer service and am looking for a new place. read more

I have been a happy customer at this location for the past 10 years. Last year I got 1 cleaning they were so busy they couldn't see me for 9 months. I didn't want to look for a new dentist so I just agreed to skip one cleaning. a week before my appt. they leave a message saying they need to cancel my appt. cause they scheduled my appt. over the hygienist's lunch break, so it took them 9 months to figure that out? I called a couple of times to reschedule, no calls back. The day before my appt. they left me a message telling me my appt. was cancelled. I found their actions unprofessional, so I went with another dentist. a month later I get a bill from my last cleaning, something I've never seen before. I think it's a mistake, I call and leave a couple of messages, no reply. I'm thinking they figured their mistake and they're correcting it. Another month goes by, I get a collection letter!!! I called and left two messages, nothing. Finally, I got hold of someone I told them the issue, she said the billing department will call me no later than tomorrow. That was a week ago. The first impression that I got from the dentist and dental assistant made me a bit worried, as they didn't seem to work very well together. I had a front crown sent in from the lab and it came back too wide for the space, clearly off colored, and it hit my bottom tooth so it moved every time I bit down (even after coming in a second time for impressions). My dentist attempted to talk me out of noticing... saying it looks "pretty good" and otherwise ignoring my concerns. All and all, I ended up with 6 appointments for what was supposed to be a two appointment process. Basically, if you're content with low expectations and still expensive pricing, be my guest. Just getting an appointment to see a dentist for routine care is such an ordeal. Online requests get a prompt call back and a transfer to a specific clinic and then begins a confusing round of questions and repeated attempts to explain all I need is routine exam & cleaning. Frustrating. read more

Dr. Wittenstrom is fantastic, I'll start with that positive note. Dr. Pearce has been great, too. Staff is pleasant and professional. That's it for the positives. I've been coming here for three years. Three years of dealing with an incompetent reception staff. I've had them cancel my appointment, only to later remind me of the appointment THEY canceled. They've scheduled me with the wrong doctor multiple times. I made my last appointment via email to have proof of it. I requested a specific doctor and hygienist. I just received a reminder call for this appointment...a different time, a different doctor and a different hygienist (I'll give them the hygienist change, since the one I wanted is no longer working there). Failure rate for one appointment: 66%. And I have the proof that they simply screwed it up. I will give them points for calling to see if it was ok for me to see the other dentist (someone noticed the alert in my file). It shouldn't have happened AND the appointment time was wrong. I would have been late and I'm sure they would have blamed me! This is why I scheduled it via email... They did give me the original time and will make special arrangements for the dentist I want to see. That's great, but ultimately, I want them to just be able to do their jobs correctly and get things right the first time! Also, I spent 12 minutes on hold today. I've had some concerns with dental assistants that don't seem to know what they're doing (assistants, I believe, not hygienists). If the doctor wasn't present and in control it would worry me. If I didn't like the two dentists as much as I do, I would go somewhere else. I have bad teeth and see the dentist often...so I need to like and trust my dentist. read more

I've been going to Metro Dentalcare in Richfield for years. I don't think I fully appreciated how good it was until I moved out of state and experienced three other dental offices. I'm back in Minnesota and now I'm really certain of just how great Dr. Colarusso and her hygienist Bailey are. They are very friendly, gentle, and take their time. With some dentists, I've had to wonder whether some dental work was necessary or not, and if they were just after more money from insurance, but with Dr. Colarusso, I've never had to worry about that. I had the worst experiences going to the dentist as a child. I was upfront and honest about my absolute terror of all things dentistry during my first visit with Dr. Benson five years ago, and since then I've had nothing but great experiences with her and the Metro Dental team. Dr. Benson and the team at Metro make sure I'm confortable during every step of the way and have always done a remarkable job presenting all the options. I'd recommend them. The downside to this whole story is lately Dr. Benson has been doing less hours at this location, and the last couple times I've tried to schedule with her has been more difficult. I have had the worse experiences ever since I've began going there for treatments with the oral surgeon. Nothing but miscommunication from the ladies at the front desk, always apologizing saying they didn't get the information from my dentists and orthodontists when in reality they don't do their job correctly. They made me go through an extra procedure because they never communicated with my oral surgeon correctly, making him look unprofessional. The billing is also a problem they would cash my checks and payments right away but then send me letters saying I had not payed yet and that I would be sent to collection and when I would call their answer would be oh they must have been sent before we received payment when they cashed my checks out weeks in advance from the date on the letters. The oral surgeon is great and he did a great job, but the people working the front desk are just something else. This was with Dr. Glineburg's office. read more

I have been putting off an extraction of a wisdom tooth for longer then I care to admit. I don't know what is worse for me my fear of the dentist or the shame that comes with tooth problems. I was recommended to Robert Glineburg through Metro Dental which is my primary clinic. It turned out to be a great recommendation. While I admit I hate going to the dentist and getting you mouth ripped open is never a good time, the staff and operation was great. Everybody was supportive Robert put you at ease as he talked through what was happening and it was obvious they had my comfort and well being in mind. I would highly recommend this clinic especially if you use Metro Dental since they were able to transfer insurance and information seamlessly. I wish I would have jotted down the name of the assistant too because she was great as well. I feel bad for you if you need this service but trust me you will be in good hands if you go here. read more

I love Dr. Wittenstrom!! This is saying a lot since I'm a severe dental-phobic. This is as a result of a horrible childhood dentist who didn't believe in novacaine, but that's another story for another time. Dr. Wittenstrom understands my intense fear of the dentist and prescribes medication to help calm me down and get me to come into the office. He describes everything he is doing and makes sure I'm in discomfort. He also provides me with his cell phone number in case I need to contact him. Thank goodness I found him!! read more

i first visted the facility because it was open 24 hours. Boy, was i ever wrong. I went there originally because i needed a tooth pulled. Now, after an initial exam, 3/4 of a root canal and a several hundreds of dollars paid out of pocket and almost a thousand billed to my dental insurance company i still have the tooth and am schedulled to go back in a week to have it pulled. all of this and i still have the bad tooth. im not a dentist but i would think this should have taken 1 visit. i would not recommend them, sorry.
