BEWARE OF AN OLD MAN THAT WILL TRY TO CHARGE YOU DOUBLE IF YOUR CAR GETS TOWED!!! I got towed and when I came to pick it up he said to give him $230 in cash to release the car and when we asked why the rate is different on their website he got VERY MAD!! We called the owner and he said it's supposed to be $120 ONLY AND 20 more for overnight. Don't let the man ruin your day, call the owners first!! Update: Thanks for the reply Paul but you have the wrong person. My car was not towed on Saturday. It got towed on Monday and I picked it up on Tuesday so it was not on non-business hours. Your employee is definitely ruining your business and robbing customers with cash only demands and giving you false reports. You can check your receipts if you want and verify the integrity of your so called good customer service. I have the receipt and can send a you a picture if you want. You cannot tow a car on yellow painted lane unless the police gives you a ticket and calls the towing company that has a contract with the Police Dept. if it's a private property you should have signs. I requested a tow through my AAA which only uses this company in DC. I have Never ever received such disgusting service in my life!! I never write reviews but this is situation is soo disappointing and stressful I have no choice but to vent. After a week of No communication, blatant lies and fraudulent charges..my vehicle is still in the same location...not towed. Summary: I have had to call AAA everyday numerous times for a tow I have explained my vehicle is located in a garage with height restrictions etc Not only have they not called or texted as they state They have showed up in wrong tow vehicle...even though it has been stressed on every request making them aware They said they came and I was not at location...false They said they called-false They called me and stated my vehicle had been picked up and dropped off at auto shop...FALSE They charged and were paid for a service they did not complete After speaking with the owner and him confirming he would be there next morning. Do not call this towing company. I live on Cap Hill in DC and my car broke down near Bethesda at 7pm on a weeknight. I had my roadside assistance tow me to Ourisman Honda in Bethesda. The next day I decided to have my car towed to the mechanic I use in my neighborhood for repairs. I called Metro Motor Towing in the early afternoon and spoke to Mike (a supervisor) to arrange the tow (they quoted me $195 for a 12 mile tow). I told him he could go get my car after rush hour if that was easier because Ourisman was open until 8pm. I called to confirm with Ourisman and called Mike back AGAIN to confirm the tow. I asked for someone to call me and confirm the drop-off. At 10pm I had not received a call so I called Metro Motor Towing and spoke to the night supervisor, who called Mike, and then got back on the line with me to apologize and say they did not pick up my car. He could not explain WHY my car had not been picked up WHEN THEY HAD A SIX HOUR WINDOW TO GO GET IT; or WHY I needed to give him the information for my tow AGAIN (everything, my name, the pickup address, the drop-off). But I gave it to him and he said my car would be first to be picked up today, and that the driver would call me to confirm the pick-up once he had my car. AND he said he would pass along my complaint to the Owner, Shaun, and have him call me. This morning my garage called me at 8:45am to tell me my car STILL was not there. I called Metro Motors Towing and asked to speak to Shaun. The person said "he's not here," and hung up on me. I called back again and asked for Mike. I asked him why my car wasn't picked up last night OR this morning. He ignored my question and told me his driver was at Ourisman at that moment "waiting," because they do not open at 7am as I had stated. FALSE! I called Ourisman and was told that someone picked up my car between 7:30 and 8:00am that morning! I called Mike back and told him his driver was not waiting, and that he should have my car. So he conferenced in the driver on the call and only asked how long it would be until he got to my garage with my car. The driver said 20 minutes. I called 40 minutes later to confirm my car had been delivered. No one from Metro Motors confirmed, even after they knew they had screwed up and I was waiting and wondering. When my car was fixed, I went this afternoon to pick it up. There were papers from my glove box strew in the front seat like someone had rifled through, but they did not leave the paperwork and receipt from the dealership in the car. I called the dealership and was told the tow driver had to have been given this paperwork when the car and key were released to them by Ourisman Honda. They did not leave it for me like they were supposed to. I don't know what sort of business this is but it seems like they write information on sticky notes and text each other about tow jobs. They seem to keep no legitimate schedule or record of where to go, who has vehicles, etc. And they are NOT reliable to order a tow. I do not trust this business AT ALL. Based on my experience they deserve ZERO stars. Terrible service at a time that is already stressful and expensive. TERRIBLE SERVICE. read more

This was an awful company. I will never recommend anyone to use it. They got a service request for towing from my insurance at 3:40pm today the estimated wait was 90 min, but on the map they shared it said he will be there in 35 min. I waited close to 2 hrs before calling to see what is going on and I was told he will be there in 10 min I waited another 30 min and I called still I was told he just got to my car and he is about to tow it. I waited another 1hr and I called back no answer I keep calling still no answer. Finally he picks up and put me on hold. I then called my insurance and they canceled the service request. My agent was able to talk to him and he had the nerve to say it wasn't towed because it was cancelled kind you she just cancelled the service after 1hr after I was told it was towed. I called H&H Towing and they said it will cost me $220 and they sent a driver from Metro Motor Towing with a flat bed. The driver wanted $250 and when I asked why the price went up he changes the price to $300 and changes it back to $250. The driver unloaded my car backwards into my driveway apron with 2 rear tires on the ground scratching the whole rear bumper and muffler. The driver attempts to move my car back up on the flat bed repeatedly scratching my rear bumper and muffler until he finally pulls the car back up on the flat bed and came into the driveway to unload my car. The driver did not apologize. I paid $250 in cash and when I asked for my receipt the driver took off DC plate C79620. I don't understand how the driver misjudged the clearance of surrounding areas unless he was intoxicated. Extremely careless and unprofessional. I called the company and they told me to send photos of the damage. The next day they gave me another number to send photos and said they'd take care of it but it's been a month now and still no response no answer. No one is taking responsibility. read more

They towed my car last night after it broke down in DC. They were supposed to take it to car dealer in Bethesda, MD but they took it to Germantown, Md and left it at the wrong dealer. It took most of the day to get a straight answer from them and find out what happened. This resulted in a huge hassle including a stolen car report, driving around looking for the car, etc. After dealing with unhelpful people most of the day, they eventually told me what happened, apologized and offered to tow it back, which of course I won't let them do. This is a badly run, unprofessional company. I strongly recommend against using them. read more

By no means do I deserve any special treatment, but this incident shouldn't even have taken place. I'm a government employee and I was in my HQ for a meeting for maybe 20 mins. Parked my car in DC on the side of the road just like 5 other cars were because another DC employee said the spot would be fine. I come back to my car and AS IM PUTTING THE KEY INTO THE DOOR to unlock it, the dude picks it up on his lift. I have a high ankle boot on my foot because of an injury and can barely walk. The guy tells me I need to pay $120 JUST TO PUT MY CAR BACK ON THE GROUND. I said I can't pay it he said "ok follow me to the yard." REALLY!? On my injured up leg? And with what car? I'll be calling them in to the city. I understand some people have a job to do, but this is some shady stuff. If I could give ZERO stars I would. What a HORRIBLE interaction. The driver was extremely RUDE. His voice was max volume during the interaction and was completely INCONSIDERATE of the situation. When you are towed in DC, the tow driver is supposed to hand you an official "towing bill of rights" pamphlet, which this guy never did. Not did he give me a physical receipt of the payment I made. UPDATE: After having an investigation conducted by DCRA, I was able to receive a partial refund of $70 (originally $120). Investigator Burnett was very helpful, and upon calling Karim**(spelling) the Metro Motor, he was understanding of the situation and told me the refund would be in my account in a few hours. I'm still leaving the 1-star because the driver should never have charged me that much in the first place, which makes me think they just do this to people when they get the chance, and take advantage of the fact that some people don't know understand the law, policy, and procedures when it comes to towing in DC. read more

I brought my car before a cross-country trip in November 2019 to have a full safety check performed and make sure all fluids, brakes, etc. were functional. After arrival on the West Coast a couple issues developed which were linked to the service performed at Metro Motor. I provided this information and my concerns in writing to the manager and I was very promptly contacted by phone. Apologies and a very generous reimbursement of the expenses I incurred was provided extremely promptly. Wow, I was so impressed by how professional, courteous and generous MetroMotor was I cannot but HIGHLY RECOMMEND this garage to anyone living in the Palisades, and beyond. We couldn't take it anymore that's why we called our own towing which is Metro Metro Towing company who came in less than 10 minutes!! We were in a car accident and was freezing out on a 30F weather in the middle of tue bridge facing the opposite direction. USe this company by any means necessary. 4 hours VS 10 minutes. I said it once before and I'm here to say it again! Metro motor towing came for the rescue! This time my car battery died and I had gotten it jumped multiple times to the point where my car battery just gave up on me and I was stranded in dc. Since in the past, before discovering metro motor towing, I've had terrible experiences with other towing companies and would be so hesitant to call any company. When I called Metro Motor Towing Hisham on the phone dispatched a driver and gave me an eta of 20-30min and Sam, one of the drivers came within the eta and towed my car to the nearest gas station who'd be able to change my battery. Once I got to the gas station it Happened to be another Metro Motor Exon and like Sam claimed they'd take care of me. Best believe they really did. I had bought a battery and they installed it and the whole process of towing and changing my battery took only 1-2 hours I was so blessed to have a company to really take care of me. I'm originally from Virginia so I'm not familiar with dc and they really made sure I went to the right places for my vehicle. Again I'm so grateful for Metro Motor Towing, they made me feel comfortable while being very professional. They are very knowledgeable, honest, consistent, and reasonable. Sam kept me informed about what they were doing before actually doing it. I will forever recommend to all my friends and family who get stuck in dc. They were sent out by AAA to tow my car and one of their employees tried to jump my battery and did it wrong by attaching the positive cable to the fuse box instead of the battery. When I filed a claim because they blew all my fuses and asked them to reimburse me for the money to fix my car that was clearly caused by their error, they refused.
