Hung up on multiple occasions and refused to actually help the situation. Called around 12 am on the 31st of July. It's incredible unprofessional and he was beyond disrespectful. Rochelle or whatever his name is very rude from the beginning of our phone call with him. Didn't give us the customer service we needed or required. I work in property management and I would not recommend him having to deal with him. He does not have the sympathy or any politeness when dealing with any customers. He is very rude and does not care about you or the business he works for. He yelled at us for not giving him the license plate or vin number immediately upon asking. Being in property management we always strive to wanting to make sure our customers are taken care of and this tow yard needs to do better. My wife got into an accident, the police officer arranged a tow truck because the towing service from our insurance were too slow and traffics was starting to jam up. Can't say no to the police officer, she accepted, a driver from Metro-Pro Tow showed up pretty soon. The driver blatantly lied to my wife, saying that he can either tow the car to the impound of police station for free but she'll have to pay for storage fee everyday, and the car can't be fixed while in impound; or he can tow it to the nearest car rental, where she can get her loaner car and wait for the towing from our insurance company to take her to a collision center. My wife was still shaky from the accident and wasn't thinking straight, didn't realize the loop hole that there's a third option: just damn wait anywhere on the curb anywhere off freeway. So she naturally chose option 2. They got there, it was about 2-3 miles total distance, and the drive wrote up a bill: $246. My wife argued that he never mentioned how much it's gonna cost, and that the pricing was ridiculously high. The driver said, "hey nothing is free", like she was the one that was being unreasonable. WTF, of course nothing is free, but a tow ain't gonna cost $100 PER MILE, your crappy tow truck isn't a Lamborghini. So yeah, with this kind of driver still working for this company, this company is a total scam, never ever ever voluntarily use them. If Metro-Pro still cares about their reputation, they should take actions and implement better code of business conduct. read more

I'm not sure if the PD messed up or the tow service did but my boyfriends car got towed across from my apartment and it took us over a week to find it. Tow places are suppose to report every tow they do to the police station in the city of the towing, we called the PD the day of and they had no record of the towing. My sister used my AAA service when her starter took a dump at the UCI parking structure. Call placed at 8:15 PM, truck 42, and its driver, arrives at approximately 10:00 PM. The driver is not able to tow her car, nor is able to whack the starter to get it going, as is customary. I'm on the phone with my sister, and she is telling me that he is aggravated, and rude. Driver #2 arrives, approximately 11:30 PM. This one is able to whack the starter and get it started. My sister is able to drive home, over 3 hours after the call is placed, from UCI. As someone else said - I wish I could give this place no stars at all. I was in an accident on the freeway on a Friday night. They are closed over the weekend so Monday was the first time I could get to my vehicle and I was very upset to find that my disabled parking placard had been stolen. I spoke with "Mike" that day, he said he would speak with the driver and told me they have surveillance cameras in the yard. I asked for the manager's name and he resisted giving it to me - that's a red flag right there . After two days he still "hasn't had time" to look at the surveillance video and in every conversation he referred to my placard as "if it was there". I repeatedly told him there is no "if", it was definitely there when they took possession of my vehicle. (I have enough stress in my life as a result of this accident, why would I make this up?) I again asked for the managers name and he gave me "Jean". I asked for her last name and he wouldn't give it to me, even after I pointed at that in a minute on the internet I could find it so his only accomplishment would be annoying an already upset customer even further. Clearly customer service is not his priority! I called the Auto Club and was told that Metro-Pro is one of their approved towing companies! So of course I lodged a complaint. And because "Mike" made me look up the last name for "Jean" on the internet, I also saw the full name of the company's CEO and President. Perhaps I should write them letters? Whether or not it makes a difference, it's the right thing to do and I will do all I can to spread the word, Metro-Pro Tow Service is dishonest, they are thieves. Do NOT use Metro-Pro. read more

Upon calling AAA for service, it was dispatched to this company. Initial quote was 40 minutes. However I waited for 2 hours until 2AM waiting for this company to show up. This company called and had the audacity to lie and tell me 15 minutes after the first hour. I had to get a call from AAA stating they canceled. Had to wait another 40 minutes for a different tow truck stuck in the middle of the road. PLEASE IF YOU CALL AAA, please request a different tow service. They can do that for you. My car went down in a cloud of smoke yesterday during rush hour on the 405. Not only had my car dumped all of its coolant suddenly, but it was quite clear that at least some of my car was ruined from the whole episode. I called AAA and anticipated waiting at least an hour given traffic and where I was, but to my surprise within minutes, there was Jose, who I will now forever call my "Knight in Shining Armor." Not only was he extremely prompt in arriving on the scene, not only did he communicate with me every step of the way so I knew where he was and when he was arriving, but his caliber of knowledge and service far exceeded any tow truck driver I've ever met. Jose's attention to detail and service is truly what stood out. The tow he performed was installed in a way that would safely tow my car without rupturing the air suspension, he gave clear instruction on how to safely guide the car up the ramp, he made sure my window was down in case my car decided to auto lock with the keys in it while in neutral, he offered clarity on what the mysterious oil was that dumped all over the freeway. He made me feel completely confident that everything was going to work out at a time where I couldn't have been more frustrated. I was just expecting to get towed, and what I got was the red carpet treatment all the way to my mechanic. I can't think of a better way to come out of what could've been an absolutely terrible day. Needless to say, I'll be holding on to Metro-Pro's card, because if me or anyone I know is ever in a bind, I know exactly who we'll be calling. read more

Alright so here's the quick story. Car was stolen so my car and was impounded here when it was found by the police because it wasn't drive-able due to all the parts stolen. Parents went ahead to check to see if they could grab the car for me but weren't aware I,the owner, had to be there with registration(which was in he car of course). But by the time I got there it had closed and now ran on it's after hours time. And we were then told there'd be a $95 entrance. Now yes we were unaware of many of these rules which was definitely okay with us but when we decided to pay the entrance to grab the registration papers from the car we were greeted(he didn't actually greet us) an incredibly grumpy man. Stating we needed to have the tow truck that would've move our car out of the company there at the same time we would be walking in to do everything. And as I said it would have been totally okay because of our misunderstanding if he had simply informed us what we had to do then and there kindly. Instead he seemed very irritated, tone was rude, and in the end he walked back in shaking his head and spread his arm with the "are you stupid" kind of gesture. I've worked at plenty of restaurants so I'd understand the annoyed attitude if the customers were rude or hard to work with themselves but my parents were nothing but soft spoken and understanding with the man. read more

Watch out for these scam artists. The phone people appear trained to mislead you, and I'm really disappointed that I pay good taxes for both living and working in the City of Tustin, and they keep a contract with such slimy people. When my vehicle was towed (unlawful parking - what are you gonna do?) I immediately went to the police department and had a conversation on speaker phone with Metro Pro, with the officers right there. First, they said they didn't have my car. After the Tustin police officers were a bit horrified that they had lost my vehicle, they pressed that it was definitely with Metro Pro, and the woman on the phone finally found it. Then, I asked what the fees were if I picked it up that day, what the daily fees were, and then, finally, what their hours were, so I wouldn't be charged more than necessary. She said, "24 hours." I said, "Really??? That's great. Whew, no rush then." I found it odd, since I've experienced set business hours and afterhours fees when a car was towed at my condos once. I was thinking, "These guys are great! It must be more fair when a city tows you." Fast forward to arriving on my pickup day at 6:30 p.m., and having someone shut the door on me, saying, "We just closed." In shock, I exclaimed how the woman told me they were open 24 hours, only to find out that they ARE NOT open 24 hours, not really. After 6pm, you pay another day and a hefty after hours gate fee, like with many other tow companies. It would've been nice for someone to mention that while I was specifically asking about it, so I wouldn't end up paying nearly an extra $100 that could've been easily avoided!!! Let me tell you, I will be taking it up with the city, and the officers who were part of my conversation with Metro Pro, whether this contract will be continued with them. In the meantime, if you've googled them and are seeing this, be forewarned that Metro Pro are dishonest people who mislead you on purpose to make more money. Shame on the City of Tustin for using them. Update: When confronting the woman who gave me the incorrect information, she had the nerve to get smart with me and ask "if I even HAD my vehicle release information" to get my car back. Uh, why would I be here, for fun? Then, a man told me it would be 20-25 minutes until they could get my car. I'm still waiting after 50 minutes. These people relish in making the process miserable for people. Just noticed they have a AAA contract. I'll be taking that up with AAA too. Next stop, Better Business Bureau. Update 2: After 1.25 hours, I finally have my car from them. But wait, there's more. The employee plopped it into a tow zone on the street and said, "It doesn't work." I asked him what that meant and tried the ignition to discover a completely dead car. Then, he shrugged and walked away. Confused, and thinking I need a jump, I go to open the hood, but the latch won't open! The connection has been broken! My best guess is that they jostled the car to death when they were towing it, loosening the battery connection and breaking the hood latch line! This car was in perfect condition before it was towed, and now, it's a hunk of metal on the street. Now, I'm calling AAA to tow my car, once again, to a shop to fix the damage Metro Pro did to my vehicle. This will not be the last they hear from me. read more
