Kim Anderson (manager) sold me the Choice Protection Plan, and talked it as a great safety net if your items sustain damage because it covers every type of damage. They require you to purchase a Lock - Disc 2 3/4(1) for the protection plan and Kim said the Damp Rid(1) would protect against any moisture in the air. Her customer service was good, but disappointed in the false representation of the choice protection plan. The company, American Claims Management, handles claims for All Storage Virdian. Fast forward, my claim is denied, by under "k. Any loss or damage to Tenant's stored goods for which the Owner is not liable under the law." The denial reason is not related to the cause (storage leaked water) and damage (water damage, rust) to my item (chair) and goes against section 1 and section 1 example, I have included the screenshot of the protection plan. The ACM adjuster, Dyan Walker stated to me condensation does not mean water (although condensation is defined as water droplets) and accused me of not sending the photos he requested, though they are clearly in our email thread. I am currently working with the BBB; this protection plan is a scam to get more $ out of customers just to deny claims when damage caused by the storage unit actually happens.

I had initially planned to purchase moving boxes…read moreat U-Haul but, after going to 5 different locations that were supposedly close to me - 2 were non-existent, 2 were closed and 1 was not identifiable as a U-Haul center (I saw someone walk out of an office and asked if this was a U-Haul shop I could buy boxes from...the guy literally said "what's it to you?"), I ended up stopping by Extra Space Storage. I was frustrated and tired, and near the end of my lunch break, when I went into the office. I didn't see any boxes and started to feel like I'd wasted my time. The woman working the front desk (my apologies, I can't remember her name) was extremely professional and kind and let me know they did have boxes available for purchase. She took the time to show me what was available and made it very easy for me to purchase the first few boxes I needed right away. The prices are tad bit higher than U-Haul, but considering the wild goose chase I went on it was worth the slight increase to be able to pick up what I needed quickly and effortlessly. Bonus - the property was extremely clean and well-maintained. If I needed a storage facility, I would have no issue renting a unit from this location.

My…read morehusband and I went to retrieve our Christmas decoration boxes from our storage unit, only to discover it had been broken into and our belongings stolen. We tried contacting the office multiple times but received no response. Since it was a Sunday, we immediately called the police to file a report and have them document the damage to the curtain, lock, and other areas. The office never reached out to us. When I called them, their only concern was asking me to stop by to sign a new contract for the unit where I had moved my remaining belongings. There was no apology, no explanation, and no concern for how we were doing. I was shocked by how cold, careless, and heartless the staff member was. Why was our unit targeted? Who has access to the units? We only used the lock purchased directly from the office. Additionally, the gates to the property are frequently left open, seemingly inviting thieves--or perhaps they've always had access. Please, stay away from this property.
