A receptacle in the enclosed patio wasn't working. He didn't seem to know what a in ceiling large vent was for. He didn't point out the corrosive bathroom faucets. The cost of this inspection was at least $200+ more than hiring an independent contractor to do the inspection. I wouldn't use them again. Didn't feel it was worth the extra money.

Almost a year ago, just prior to leaving for Sedona, AZ, we noticed a stain on a ceiling near our…read moreback door. Having lived in a home w/mold, we knew to call for inspection before letting the plumber open the wall to find the source of the leak. Having done business with Healthy Homes before, with an extremely successful outcome, we called immediately. Healthy Homes was out quickly to investigate the problem. Since the leak originated on the upper floor, investigation had to be performed on the downstairs ceiling, up through the second floor, and finally behind the bathroom drywall. Most importantly, was the fact that George and Meg were aware of the fact that I'm immunodeficient and were very particular every step of the way since I've been exposed to mold in the past. Every step of the way we received photos, the insurance company was happy to be working with a leader in the industry, and although it took some time to find the leak, remediate the existing property, and then work and direct the contractors, we were kept up to date every step of the way. HH performed all of this while we were in AZ hiking for a holiday. We cannot stress the importance of a qualified and certified mold inspection organization with business longevity, extremely knowledgeable employees, and owners who are willing to roll up their sleeves and pitch in. What an outstanding job and the attention to detail with preserving our antiques and specialty paint finishes. Everything detail was important!!! A date and time were scheduled, but no one showed up. A call to them indicated a lack of professionalism and process where apparently the service rep had and took the option of not coming to the appointment, or calling to cancel. Such geographic discrimination is ridiculous, especially since they are located in Southfield, not exactly a tony suburb to flip their noses at business in Detroit. I found them overall to be amateur, unprofessional, and unworthy of further consideration.

Getting my jewelry back was ordeal...they wanted to charge me handling fees, 2 days later even though their employees misinformed me...When the owners husband did a second appraisal it went to 400 dollar...and said it was a simple mistake, then he starting badgering me saying " have you never made a mistake" Both the owner and her husband agreed that the employee that did my appraisal was "Ditzy" and they couldn't answer for what "she" said. I was yelled made fun of and couldn't wait to get out of there! Good luck! If I hadn't gone back, they would have gotten me good.
