We came here this past weekend for a wedding and it was my first time coming here. I would say I was thoroughly impressed about this venue. Having had a wedding almost 8 years ago this venue makes it easy and seem less. From the tv screen showing you your table to the elaborate interior design this place has it all. I've never been to a wedding with fireworks that's for sure. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially serving food. Overall from my experience as a guest this place was nice. I would recommend stopping by the venue if you're looking for a place to get married.

I wish I can write a book about this place! My husband and I got married in the Modern Ballroom 3 months ago and I can't even begin to explain how thrilled we are to have chosen Metropol as our wedding venue. We both fell in love the minute we walked in there. We were originally scheduled in 2020 during the pandemic; however, Andre (the manager) worked with us to choose a different date. He is very friendly, honest, and beyond professional and he truly helped us during the craziest times! The staff is also AMAZING! When we went to do our food tasting they were extremely nice and professional and also the day of the wedding! They were just running around ALL the time cleaning up tables and making sure everyone is okay. And we can't forget the food!!! The food is SOOOO SOOO GOOD!! Let me just say, my Egyptian guests had nothing to complain about ! Definitely recommend this place!

Came here for a wedding reception. Accidentally walked into the wrong reception. The banquet hall was two levels. This one was on the main boulevard. Beautiful looking!! Walked into the correct one. Located on the side of the building. Much smaller, but still very nice. Prior to being let into the reception room, we stood in a much smaller room eating appetizer and having drinks. All very good. After one hour, let into the main reception room. I have to tell you, I was impressed!! VERY NICE. So nice!! Seated 100 guests comfortably. Decorated beautifully. Food choices (Mediterranean) really good and filling. My only complaint is that the waiter did not remove the empty glasses from our table. I guess we drank a whole lot!! I would definitely recommend having a wedding reception here!! Visited 3/20/16

Andre and his team at Metropol were exceptional. My husband and I had our wedding reception at Metropol 6 months ago and receive so many compliments about the venue to this day. To begin, we stumbled upon Metropol after looking at Renaissance, its sister banquet. We fell in love with the larger ballroom when we first saw it. It was a great size, a white canvas, which we liked because it made it very modern and amenable to whatever our wedding design/ theme would look like, and it has high ceilings. We knew it would be the venue where we'd host our reception! Over the months of planning, Andre was extremely gracious and patient. He listened to what our desires were for our wedding day and accommodated every request. Choosing our food and what type of open bar we wanted was a breeze. Moreover, our families are Bolivian and we customarily serve our food with a spicy sauce called "llajua." We talked to Andre about making it ourselves and having the servers serve it on our wedding day, but Andre had a better idea and had his cooks prepare the spicy sauce for our guests. I couldn't believe Andre and his team went above and beyond for us and our families, and it tasted just as good as if we would have made it. Andre and the whole team at Metropol, thank you for your wonderful customer service, great food, and overall fun and stress free ambience. We were very happy to have chosen Metropol for our wedding day.

Swanky. We were guests here for a wedding reception and had no trouble with the valet in their adjoining lot. Inside, we waited in the lobby area for cocktail hour and had hors d'oeuvres that were passed by servers on trays. I tried a chicken skewer and a little hummus bite and both were so yummy. We were able to see our seating arrangements on a TV screen in the same lobby area. Once they opened the doors to the banquet hall, we were lead into a lovely high-ceiling room with crystal chandeliers in the middle of the room over a white tiled dance floor. The place just looked so white and pretty. The food, oh my gosh, THE FOOD. There was SO much of it. Plate after plate of appetizers, all Mediterranean/Armenian (this is Glendale, folks). Cheeses, breads, hummus, salads. The main course was chicken and beef kabobs. More courses came out after, (and I had no more room left in my stomach) including grilled veggies and then a fruit course. It was INSANE. The tables were set up far enough apart so you didn't feel squished against another yet not far enough to feel like an island. The round tables were huge and sat roughly 13 people around it comfortably on pretty, gold chiavari chairs. The acoustics for the DJ's music were great and the dance floor accommodated many. The bathrooms were clean and modern looking. The server helping at our table was very sweet and explained what some of the dishes were, which was necessary, since nothing was labeled and many of us weren't used to this particular cuisine. Getting our car from valet afterward was quick. Great experience!

Armenian dancers rock it out like rock stars! Lol

Summary: went for a wedding on Friday and the venue and food were exceptional! Ambiance: right smack in the middle of Glendale (my old home city)... corner building with valet. Very modern looking building that looks like quality! Large ballrooms with a beautiful grand entrance. Totally amazed as to how quickly the ballroom changes from a wedding ceremony to a reception room! Parking: as mentioned above - valet is available. We found parking less than a block away - I recommend Uber/lyft to get to and from the location... especially if you're going to drink!!!!! Service: we felt like we had a personal server. There must have been at least 300 guests but we felt very well served by our server. We never ran out of drinks or food! Restrooms: clean... enough said. Goes with the theme of the venue... Conclusion: I don't know how much the venue charges, but it seems like they handle everything ....and AC was good! I had a bad experience at a venue because the AC was not adequate to accommodate the number of people (no fun dancing in a sauna for a formal event)....

What a beautiful place! From the outside you might not be able to tell much however once you enter it is gorgeous. There is valet parking but they don't really tell you a price until you leave $8 this particular night. The decor is modern with clean lines and the lighting colorful that can change to accommodate any mood. The staff was friendly and even the few with bitch face seem cool. The security straight mafia, no lie. It was amazing time joining my close friend begin her new adventure.

The best reception hall in Los Angeles area. Very modern ballroom and professional team. Food is absolutely amazing. Our guests are still taking about the food and how delicious it was. So happy we chose Metropol (Millenuim ballroom) as our wedding venue . Highly recommend. Edgar and Hrach are so professional and know their job. 10+ Loved, loved everything about it :)))

My wife and I had our wedding reception here in late March and the venue was perfect for us. Edgar of Metropol is a professional who took all our calls and was very accommodating. It was a pleasure working with them. I highly recommend this venue just for his service. The food! There are many venue choices in LA. We felt Metropol's food was the best of the bunch. Huge variety to choose from and they even have halal options. All of our guests loved the food. Lighting and audio. Perfect! So many color options when it comes to light in and Edgar will allow you to spend time to choose what you like. Highly recommend this place!

Due to an Uber address mix-up, we ended up at this location by mistake. Upon arriving near closing time, we just asked if we could come in for a drink as we believed this was a bar: After being told it was a private event, I calmly tried to explain our Uber mistake. Instead of handling the situation professionally, a female staff member completely lost her temper. She started screaming at us, talked to us terribly, and physically aggressed us and telling us to go away. Given the unprovoked hostility and the way she treated us, I strongly believe her behavior was racially motivated because we are not from America. She tried to physically attack us. Her actions were so completely out of line and unwarranted that even several guests from the private event came over to apologize to us for her deplorable conduct. No one should ever be subjected to discrimination, verbal abuse, or violence over a simple misunderstanding. I highly advise avoiding this place, customer service, safety, and basic respect are completely nonexistent here. To make matters worse, I didn't even say a word to provoke her, she completely misdirected her anger at us just because of other people standing nearby. Being targeted, screamed at, and pushed when you haven't done or said a single thing is completely unhinged. She literally screamed right in our faces: "Hell no! Get the fuck out of here!"

I recognized it from Season 1 of Nobody Wants This, and apparently seeing a restaurant on TV is all the encouragement I need to add another dinner reservation to the calendar. Parking in Los Feliz gave us a little pre-dinner challenge. A friend and I eventually went with valet, while another friend circled a few times before finding street parking. Consider this my future self taking notes: next time, Uber. Walking inside was probably my favorite first impression. Mírate unfolds across multiple levels with warm lighting, greenery, tucked-away lounge areas, and that huge tree in the middle of the courtyard. We were seated upstairs near the top of the stairs by the restroom, which gave us a view down into the main space. Admittedly, I spent a little time admiring the tables around the tree and understanding exactly why that area is such a draw. Something to aim for on a future visit. We ordered several dishes to share. Some of the starters were a little smaller than I expected, but there was plenty of flavor packed into them. The ribeye taco was one of my favorites, with Chihuahua cheese, salsa verde, and a little heat from the Yahualica chile. The octopus taco was right up there with it, paired with Chihuahua cheese, frijoles puercos, and pineapple pico that brought in a nice sweet-savory contrast. Both disappeared quickly, which is generally a good sign at our table. The cocktails were another highlight. Everyone ordered something different and there wasn't a disappointed person in the group. Our server checked in throughout the evening without hovering, which gave us plenty of time to eat, talk, and inevitably compare everyone's drink choices. By the end of dinner, I had already figured out my strategy for round two: Uber there, explore a little more of the cocktail menu, and see if we can snag one of those coveted tables near the tree. Even if we don't, I'd happily come back.

This place was built in the 1960's by the Breakfast Club and given to the city in exchange for holding their meetings there. It is quite spacious with an abundance of parking in their private lot. It is a great location for larger events in that they have a stage and a large industrial kitchen. The downside is that the place needs some work. While I don't mind the 60's vibe, it seems that the city is not maintaining the space. The folding tables are quite worn around the edges and seem to be quite old. The chairs, while not completely uncomfortable, are certainly feeling their age. The kitchen, while quite large, apparently needs work. The large commercial dishwasher has been inoperable for a few years according to a staff member I spoke with, making it difficult for caterers who have to hand wash everything. Why do we pay all of these tax dollars to maintain city owned facilities? The bathrooms were remodeled somewhat recently. Whoever designed the remodel of the men's room should be fired. Who would place the hand dryer in a corner next to a urinal where both cannot be accessed at the same time. That is so odd to me. But overall, I'm happy to see the building being used. There are so few places large enough for big events that also has a large parking lot. I just wish the city took pride in the building, especially since they didn't pay for it. The least they could do is maintain it since they are charging a hefty fee for its usage.
