We have used these folks for years and they are GREAT! Completely reliable (always on time if not early), the drivers are helpful and polite, they usually have bottled water for us waiting in the car, the cars are clean and well maintained, and they are always accommodating, even on short notice. We use them regularly for airport transfers and have also used them when departing on a cruise. They do the driving and drop you right at the curb; SO much more convenient and less stressful than driving yourself, cruising the parking lot for an empty space, then schlepping your suitcases through the garage, down an elevator, across the Sky Bridge.... Well, you get the idea. Travel is stressful enough. The rates are easily more economical than parking your own car in some random garage for several days (especially at the airport), and you have the security of knowing your vehicle is safe at home. We were back in Seattle for another cruise, and our experience was so good the last time that we didn't even think about another mode of transportation. We made online reservations from the airport to our hotel and from the cruise terminal back to the airport, received immediate email confirmations, and even a personal recommendation that we use a cab to get from the hotel to the cruise terminal because it was less expensive. Our drivers texted us shortly after we arrived at both locations. Both times they picked us up within minutes of getting our bags in spotless new black Chrysler 300Ms. And both times the drivers loaded and unloaded our 50lb bags without us having to lift a finger, and had bottles of water waiting for us in the spacious back seat. Used Aram and his wonderful driver in June 2012 for pickup from airport to Celebrity cruise line. We had a rough shuttle ride back home and we often talk about 1. How well we were treated 2. How smooth the ride was 3. How if we are ever in Seattle again we will call Aram. I even made sure to call Aram from Alaska to make sure his driver picked us up when the cruise returned. They are my go-to for getting to the airport every time. I travel extensively for work and have had bad dealings with cab drivers. You can book a car online (need to make an account) or over the phone, and either way is easy and fast. The appointment setters I've gotten over the phone have always been pleasant, and very accommodating. They've arranged early or late cars for me often, whenever my flights have had to change or cancel. They have never been late for me once, and I've used them dozens of times. In fact, every airport car has been 10-15 minutes early. They will always offer to help carry your bags out, which I greatly appreciate, being slightly physically impaired. I am always offered water or temperature change to my liking, and some drivers even ask if I'd like the radio on. Cars are always clean and comfortable. I've been sent the more expensive SUV's on occasion and never been charged more than the car service. A tidy trip right up to the gate of your chosen airline. I will never use cabs to get to the airport ever again. read more

When I originally called their phone number to make reservations I got voicemail but didn't leave a message. Moments after I hung up, the owner called me back and asked how he could help. Reservations were smooth and they even sent an email confirmation so I knew for sure that my pickup times were correct. When I landed in Seattle, I called Aram and he gave me step by step instructions on how to find the town car. The driver was waiting for me when I walked out side and it was smooth ride to my hotel. The return trip was great. The driver arrived a little early to pick me up and called to tell me know he had arrived. Smooth ride back to the airport. I needed to get five people with luggage for a cruise from SeaTac to Pier 69 to catch the Victoria Clipper. I didn't want to mess with two taxis, risk separation, etc. I read the Yelp reviews for Metropolis and decided to go with them. I made the reservation way back in March. When I sent an email two weeks before my scheduled arrival to verify the reservation, my phone rang within five minutes to confirm. We arrived at the airport and Metropolis called before we got to baggage claim to check that we were ready to go. To say the least, we were blown away by the service, professionalism, cleanliness of the vehicle (an SUV that held us and all of our bags comfortably.) I don't get to Seattle often, but in the event that I need a car service there again, I will be calling Metropolis. read more

I have used several Seattle-area car services with mixed results. Most have been relatively adequate but a couple have been really bad. My experience with Metropolis Car Service started a couple months ago, when I reserved a car to the airport online. I didn't know anything about them, but I really liked that I could do it online. Of course you can call or text them, but for me I liked getting it done online and getting an email confirmation. Great car, great driver - very friendly and professional. I couldn't have asked for a better car service! I was in Tacoma last weekend for a wedding and Metropolis was more than happy to accomodate my weird pickup time (430am on Memorial Day, eep) and took me to the airport for a fair price, they were actually lower than other car companies I got quotes from. Victor was my driver, he was very polite and even arrived early. I liked that they send a text to alert you your cab has arrived, it was much more convenient than a phone call at 415am as I was shambling in the dark getting my things together trying to not wake my roommate. He got me to the airport safe and sound, what more can I ask for? Aram was also very professional and awesome, he followed up and confirmed with me twice about my plans; I felt very secure that I wasn't going to get stood up for my ride! If I'm ever back in the SeaTac area and need a ride, I'll definitely give Metropolis a call :D read more

Prompt pick ups, clean cars, nice drivers, and the glue that holds it all together (who I'm guessing is Aram) makes this the best car service ever! I've used them more times than I can even remember in the past 6 months. Almost always when I'm traveling for work and if I can't find a friend or family member to do an airport run if I'm traveling for pleasure. Reserving is very easy and I've received confirmations via email within a couple of hours. I've reserved through the phone, leaving voice messages, email, and most recently through their online portal. Wish I could give them 6 stars or something because it makes travelling that much less stressful when you have friendly transportation to/from the airport - you can't even guarantee that when asking friends/family for a ride :P read more

I used them twice back in June and I'm so impressed that I have 2 trips with them this week. Everytime I call them they are very nice on the phone and the drivers are right on time, actually a few minutes early. On my last trip into Seattle they called me around the time my flight was about to land and by the time I reached the curb outside my car was waiting. I've found that if i take a taxi I'm paying just as much as having the personalized service. Being from Los Angeles the prices are very cheap compared to what I pay here. The only difference is here they all meet you in Baggage Claim but that's an add on service in Seattle. But even if I was to have them meet me in baggage claim their prices would still beat what I pay in Los Angeles by a good $30 to $40 dollars and I'm traveling farther with them then I am at home. Way to go Metropolis, you will always be my choice when traveling to Seattle!! read more

Great service. Super-kid friendly. I was travelling with a two year old and was extremely grateful to see an immaculate child seat installed in a super-nice and spotless Lincoln Town car. Why do I recommend Metropolis so highly? In my experience some limo companies use the child seat that the owner's kid outgrew in 1987, they have never cleaned it once, and they make the parent install the wretched seat themselves at the airport. Not so Metropolis, a perfect seat properly installed, and for that they get 6 stars. Our driver Victor picked up at baggage claim and got us through the maze of traffic to our hotel. Pleasant conversation and a pretty quick trip even though it was around 5:30. Car was clean and comfortable. We chose to take the light rail for our return to the airport but I would use this service again the next time. Online reservation was quick and easy too. I would recommend them. PS- Victor mentioned he does use his phone for GPS mapping to route around traffic which can send him on a few weird paths. I think another reviewer mentioned the odd route he took. I can't complain because it didn't take us long to get to downtown even in rush hour. read more

I'm a convert from Stila for airport service to/from Norkirk. Didn't confirm my rate with Stila last time I booked my return car and was given a rate upon drop off $10 higher that their promised $65 flat rate. Customers never appreciate dishonesty in pricing. I appreciate your clean car, timely driver, and his ability to read that I was happy to sit in silence and not chat at 6am. A note to Aram, I booked with you because of your many great yelp reviews, but I noticed the few bad reviews. The fact that you comment in reply to those shoes you care, which is great! I have previously reviewed MCS, but their service is worth an update. I've moved from Seattle recently but still travel here frequently for business. MCS, and Aram as its' owner, truly redefine customer service. I have a small business myself and I aspire to treat my customers the same way that Aram treats his customers. I had a rather unorthodox issue today traveling to Seattle that Aram solved by going out of his way, completely out of the scope of a car service. As a long time customer, I'm not sure he'd do this for everyone, but it stands as clear representation of what he does for his customers day in and day out. We needed a shuttle to the airport and back home. Made reservation via the phone. Spoke with Aram. He was very polite and efficient. The ride to and back from the airport went smoothly. The car was very clean and comfortable. The driver arrived on time for pick up even 5 minutes early. We got an confirmations, and receipts via email which was very convenient. If you try to call and there is no answer they are probably busy on another line. But I left a v.m. message and got a call back right away. Amazingly good service! The online reservations system was really easy to use. I received email confirmation within minutes. Aram was at my door a few minutes early for my 5AM pickup time. The ride was smooth and comfortable. My same-day return flight was delayed a few times, and Aram was very accommodating. My flight information finally landed at 11 PM and he was already waiting at the terminal (he kept track of my flight status). I don't know the airport very well, so he gives very clear directions on how to get to the baggage claim, so he was very easy to find. On top of all of this, Aram is a very good conversationalist, but he's not intrusive. I needed quiet time to focus on my ride to the airport, but on the way home, he held good conversation when I volunteered information. This is the only car service I would recommend! read more

I was stressing out trying to book a transportation between SeaTac and Pier 91 for my mom and 11 of her friends (all in their 60's and know very limit English) for their Alaska Cruise. I'm very skeptical of booking service online especially from a different state. I've never been to Seattle nor been on a cruise therefore I'm not familiar with the area. I searched on yelp and google for different type of transportation service. I've called several different services and some of them were very unhelpful and unable to accommodate such a large party. When I called Metropolis Car Service and spoke to Aram. He returned my call quite quickly. At first, he told me he was unable to accommodate for 12 passengers including all the luggage to be in 1 car. But he was very helpful and directed me to another company that might be able to accommodate my large party. I was avoiding having to book 2 different cars in case of everyone getting lost. He also told me to call him back if the other company can't help me or give me a high quote. I called Aram back and told him the quote. Aram was able to give me a lower quote with renting 2 different vehicles. He assure me that both vehicles will arrive to pick up the party at the same time and they will not get lost. My mom and all of her friends are very pleased with the service Aram and his team delivered! They told me Aram was very professional and both pick-up and dropped off were on time. I'll definitely be contacting Aram for transportation if I'm ever in the Seattle area. read more

Haven't had to travel in the last few months, which was a relief to me, but recently had to go out of town for a wedding. Called Metropolis and as usual they were very professional, however I neglected to get a quote. The car was on time, the service was good, I arrived at the airport quickly, however the price was DOUBLE what I had paid last time - over $60! Not a huge fan of getting surprised by that one, would have preferred they saw the price had changed since my last trip and let me know, but also my fault for not asking. I'm calling around to other services to see - the other Yelp reviews I'm reading indicate that's pretty high. Update: checked the owner's comment, validated on my two receipts, it had doubled, that was twice as much as it was before, and have never received an email from them. read more

We love the flat rate price which rivals a taxi or a shuttle full of people. Our driver was early at the airport and at our hotel for our trip back to the airport. PROS: - Online reservations/quote tool, very helpful if you're like me and realize on a Tuesday at 1am that you forgot to make a reservation for a Wednesday evening pick-up - VERY reasonable pricing, best rates from Ballard I've been able to get AND my rates have only gone up slightly (to deal with rising gas prices & fees they charge to allow Metropolis to work @ the airport) in the last 5 years that I've used Metropolis - Always on time, usually a few minutes early but they never try to rush you - Great availability, if you can't get Aram on the phone immediately, you can expect a call back within minutes... can't get that with most of the other car services! - Wide range of vehicles to accommodate your needs, all in great condition so you don't feel like you're going to pick up some sketchy super-virus like in most of the cabs in the area - RELIABLE! If your flight gets delayed and you won't arrive until the wee hours of the morning, give him a call and Aram will do everything in his power (including picking you up himself) to make sure someone is there to pick you up... unlike some of his competitors who will tell you "Sorry, that's too late, you're going to have to make other arrangements". CONS: (All VERY minor in my opinion) - Online tool uses military time, which I made the mistake of selecting 6:00 when in fact I was trying to schedule a 6pm pickup - Online tool DOES let you save multiple credit cards for payment, but I can't figure out how to name them appropriately so I now know the last 4 digits of my personal card vs my work card so I can chose the right one when making a reservation... if you do choose wrong, a quick call to Aram can usually fix it - I don't travel as much as I used to so I don't get to use them nearly as much as I'd like :) As you can probably tell, I'm a huge fan of Aram & Metropolis. They're the only company I'll use here in Seattle, and I've recommended them to friends, family and colleagues. I'd also like to point out that ALL of the drivers are respectful and friendly, and NEVER cross the line to make you feel uncomfortable or unsafe (which HAS happened to me a few times with more than one of the local cab companies). The online tool makes it super easy to book and pay for your trip (no more fumbling around for your credit card at the airport and inadvertently losing something), plus for business travelers who need receipts - if you book online, your receipt is automatically emailed when your card is charged. Based on the awesome reviews on Yelp, I've booked Metropolis Car Service for my associates to/from the Airport and Hotels. Always a great service. This morning, one of my associates sent me an email. He needed to be picked up immediately at the conclusion of a meeting and taken straight to the airport to catch a flight. Time was of the essence. I called Metropolis and spoke to Aram. He knew from the address I gave him the exact location of the pickup and arrangements were made. I was VERY impressed by Metropolis Car Service. We were having an event for work and our company needed an SUV car service to transport employees back to the office throughout the night. We reserved the car for 4 hours, and our driver, Demetri, made several trips during this time. The let us know by text the phone number of the driver as soon as he got to the pickup location and he called ever time he was back outside to make another trip. The car was very nice and clean, and could comfortably seat 6. The price was very reasonable as well ($75/hr). I needed to add an extra hour on the day of our service, and it was no problem at all. Another great experience when we took a longer trip to Europe - both drivers were prompt, courteous and drove safely. When you are flying in, they track your flights, so they know when you're getting in, if you're early or late - our flight was a bit early. Our driver text messaged us when we were in customs to let us know he was waiting. He was picking us up within 5 minutes of me texting that we were through and ready. We had a short, 6 mile ride to the cruise ship pier, but I have not had good luck or good experiences with cabs in Seattle. Yes I paid a whole lot more for Metropolis, but I could sleep well and make my wife happy knowing that we were guaranteed to get to the ship terminal when we wanted to get there.
