Its so nice to arrive at your destination safe and sound, grab your bags, and walk out curbside to a car service arriving for you, right on time, to take you home, and when that car service and driver cost the exact same as a taxi service? Less than airport parking? Sign me up! We've just used Atlas once, for both ends of a trip to New York, and things couldn't have gone better. For $55 each way, for a group of three, about the same cost as a cab to the airport from our home usually, we had a car and driver arrive on time (for one leg at 4:42 in the AM) to whisk us to our early flight out of town in a black Lincoln town car. I used this service to get to the airport on the 12th of April and it scared me so much I didn't use it to take me home. We had a red eye flight and while Atlas was able to come pick us up with out much planning they were expensive. We did get to the airport quickly however it wasn't worth the terror we experienced on the way. Driving 70 mph on the highway, at night, with pouring rain while the driver talked on his cell phone, drove with one hand, didn't wear a seat belt AND tailgated every car we got near... I felt like my life was in danger. I really hope everyone who uses this service gets to their destination happy and healthy but with these sort of incredibly risky driving habits it's only a matter of time until someone gets in a serious car accident. Edit: 5/22/2013 - I have contacted Atlas via private email. Edit: 5/28/2013 - After several emails with the owner of Atlas I wanted to update my review. The owner attempted to be polite but eventually just told me I was wrong for writing a non-positive review and I am trying to get revenge on his company. What I would be getting revenge for I have no idea, especially if he's correct and I was not provided bad service what would my motivation for revenge be? I'm not trying to sully the companies name I simply gave an honest review of my personal experience. If I feel a business is providing an unsafe service I feel others should know about this. The owner told me I should have complained to his company before reviewing and perhaps had he handled the interaction with more poise and professionalism I would have considered removing or reconsidering my review. I have been extremely impressed with Atlas Town Car's service since moving to West Seattle from Atlanta in December, 2010. My fiance takes them nearly every week, and sometimes more often, for travel to and from the airport. Although he typically flies out super early in the morning's, a driver is always waiting patiently outside for him. Not only that, but they are always early to pick him up. We usually make it a point to look outside 15 minutes before pickup time and, sure enough, a black towncar is out there ready to roll! Amazing! Last week I used Atlas to catch a ride home from a red eye that arrived after 12:30. Regardless of the fact it was a late flight, I was picked up on time, the car was spotless, and the driver was polite and friendly. I would highly recommend taking Atlas Town Car rather than a taxi. The driver showed up outside my building 5 minutes early, chose the best route to beat traffic to Sea-Tac and refrained from the agonizing "so where you headed?" chit-chat. They pick you up and take you where you want to go--sounds simple right, but many other companies manage to screw it up. They have picked me up for early morning flights several times now. They arrive on-time and wait quietly outside until I show up. They don't ring the bell, and they don't call which helps with not waking up my partner. Great costumer service, my driver was on time, helpful, friendly but not too chatty. I felt very safe, He drove very smoothly and safely but I never felt he was going too slow (or too fast). It was easy to book online. I felt confident and comfortable in finding them. The cars are very comfortable and spacious. I really appreciated the small meaningful gesture of them having both tissue boxes and hand sanitizer next to my seat! Wow! When I was dropped off, I tried to offer a tip and he told me no, that I had already paid via online but I told him I really wanted to give him a tip, he was so gracious! read more

During our giant ice/snow storm we needed to get the airport safely & on time. We tried calling around & decided on Atlas Town Car service because they were upfront with the total cost, a little spendy but only because they were using their SUV fleet un the snow/ice (but their normal prices weren't too shabby). They showed up about 10 minutes early in a very nice & clean Mercedes. The driver was polite & a great driver who got us to the airport. Rode w/George and Atlas for the first time yesterday, Nov 23, 2010. He was early for pick up, courteous and friendly, and the car was well kept and clean. Unfortunately, Seattle was being hit w/a snow storm, so our 15 mile trip to the airport took 4.5 hrs. In spite of the unusual circumstances, George didn't get upset, frustrated, or irritated at other drivers who weren't doing as well in the icy conditions. I have been using this service for many years now. At first I only used them to transport managers from home or the office back and forth to the aiport. BUT we found that on a personal note they are fantastic. We use them for ourselves to come and go from the airport or if we need a night out and dont want to drive or should not drive. They are quick and inexpensive, the drivers are wonderful and they will there in a few minutes if you need them or you can make an appointment for a car to come get you whever you are and take you to your destination. I have never been dissapointed by them. I highly recommend this company. read more

Car was waiting at the airport when promised. I was a bit put off by the phone connection when calling to make the reservation (and to let them know I was at the airport ready to be picked up) -- it sounded like there was a freeway in the background. Cheaper than a taxi from the airport to downtown. I would definitely consider Atlas to be on the "no frills" side of car services -- the car was not in tip top shape, but it was a decent value for the money and got me where I was going. read more

I wish I could agree with the other reviewers, but my experience was quite different. First off, I use car services frequently--and everywhere from London to Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, and little cities in between. I chose Atlas on the basis of a friend's rec, and while George made the reservation process smooth sailing, the driver left something to be desired. Mine was an airport transfer from SEA-TAC to downtown SEA; it was pouring, as is typical this time of year, but the driver for some reason thought I was asking above and beyond when I asked (politely) if he wouldn't mind pulling up under the awning at the airport so that I wouldn't get soaked. A gruff mumble was all that I got in reply--and eventual agreement to do so. Pretty stunned that I even had to ask this--after all, you hire a car service for the service... Beyond this, the driver was extremely gruff. I'm not looking for chit chat--far from it--but a courteous and polite driver offering pleasant service would be nice. Finally, the standard tip was added--without asking. Had I been told that a standard tip (over 20%) would be added in this instance, I would have refused. It certainly wasn't warranted in this case. Believe the other poor reviews. The moment something goes wrong, they take zero responsibility and lash back at you. I've used them several times in the past and were always happy with the service but this last time, we called for our pick up at the airport (they had delivered us there 10 days earlier) and they proceeded to tell me they didn't have record of our return pickup. Even though we were charged for a roundtrip. Asked me for the "return date" on my confirmation. There IS no return date field on the email they send. I confirmed with a previous email confirmation that they sent me in Oct. It looked no different but they picked us up for our return home just fine before. They said if we wanted to wait...to which I cut them off because it was nearing 11 pm, we had a child with us and had been traveling all day. I then get a response to my emails that I sent as we rode home in a cab where I sent the examples of previous emails and my frustration and George responded with a not surprisingly nasty email back to me today, indignant that he saw no reason for us to be upset, blamed me and my "low IQ" and made a comment about the trip to the airport being "terrible" when it was a completely benign drive. My car never showed up. No call, no notification, nobody to answer the phone. Granted, there was a snow storm the night before and the roads were hellish. After reading the reviews on Yelp, I chose this car service to pick myself and my 11 month old son up from the airport after returning from our summer trip to Boston. I don't know how the filter works on Yelp, but it wasn't until after I made our reservation and paid that I noticed the filtered reviews and began to read them. I quickly became very nervous, as most of the filtered reviews were negative, and definitely would have influenced my decision to go with this company. I was further turned off by the mandatory 20% gratuity that is automatically added to the fee. That seems a bit steep for a service sight unseen, untested, and up front, especially as a typical gratuity is 15-20%. I would rather see them do 15% if they must, with a note to please tip exceptional drivers additionally up to 5%. read more

I needed a ride to the train station with my baby. I didn't want to be rushed in an unclean taxi because I also wanted to put my baby's car seat into the car. So I called this business and I was extremely impressed with the professionalism, cleanliness, courtesy, and help that was given to me. The ride was smooth, calm, quiet, and I felt totally safe. So it was worth it to me to pay the extra money as their rides usually are to and from the airport. Couldn't be happier. First time that I have used a town car service from home to the airport. Was leaving for 10 days for the holidays, and wanted to leave the car at home. I had a 7:15 am flight, so was not able to take a bus that would get me there by 5:30 am, so I decided to splurge and use a car service. I had a 5:15 am pick up, and a confirmation number. By 5:25 am, I had to call the company, who could not get a hold of the driver, and didn't know where he was. They said that they would dispatch another car, but it would be at least 20 minutes. I ended up walking to a main street and hailing a taxi, which was lucky. I am disappointed, as I had called the previous day to confirm, and I was nervous, since the flight was early, and there were not a lot of transportation options. It will be a long time before I use a car service again, and definitely not this one. read more

I've been using Atlas Town Car for 4 years now and am very pleased with their service. Their website is transparent with their prices and it is easy to make a reservation online. They can keep your credit card on file so every time you book you don't have to worry about carrying cash or tipping - it's all been arranged including tip and you just walk out the door at your destination. When you reserve online, you will receive an email acknowledgement that a confirmation will be pending. In less than 1 business day, you will receive a confirmation outlining your pick up time and a detailed breakdown of the cost. They are always punctual and arrive and wait silently and discreetly outside your door. They don't call to tell you they are there which is appropriate as there is no need - they are on time - just meet them outside. The towncars are well maintained and the drivers are friendly but not chatty which is how I like it. Sometimes the driver has a little too much aftershave on but it's typically not been an issue. The prices are not much higher than a regular taxi. I do appreciate that they don't have a surcharge for after midnight or before dawn services. It is a much nicer way to go to the airport. Upon completion of your transfer, within a day you will receive a detailed receipt of your credit card payment. I will continue to use them for all my trips. read more

Yikes! Made a reservation with these jokers for a ride last night because I knew the taxi line would be ridiculous at the airport with the snow. They said they had SUV's that could brave the weather so we arranged the time and reservation. When I arrived and called to let them know we were waiting they said, "sorry, traffic is really bad and we can't make it." They left me and my family stranded at the airport at midnight in a snow storm. Very unpleasant experience. read more

I used them often, but last time I had a reservation, the driver just didn't show up. There was not call from the driver or the company to let me know. When I called them, George told me that the driver just didn't pick up the phone and he said: "I don't know what to tell you." Because of this, I almost lost my flight. I used Atlas to get my wife and two toddler children from our hotel to the Pier 66 cruise terminal and for our return trip to the airport. Online booking tool was very handy. They provided car seats for our kids for a nominal fee and they were installed correctly. Cars were clean and the drivers were helpful and courteous. They arrived at the requested times and we're even a little early. I would recommend Atlas to any family traveling to the Seattle area. Prices are a little more than a cab, but the service is much better and safer. read more
