    Chicken cheesesteak and fries
    Sheronda S.

Visiting Tulsa and came across Mother Road Market. Neat spot with different eateries, I decided on a cheesesteak thinking it would be good bc how do mess up a cheesesteak? Well I was wrong. First off the chicken should be shaved or in slivers not chunks, it had no flavor and the onion and peppers didn't help. I ended up eating my fries because the sandwich was inedible. If in Tulsa or visiting Mother Road stay away from here. Waste of $20. They need to go to Philly and see how cheesesteaks are cooked! That's what I get for not reading the reviews before I went in! ‍

it was clean, speedy and courteous. The early hours on Sunday had the Market packed as a whole but thinned a bit later.

The food quality was excellent, and the staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. One of the most unique parts of the visit was learning that the person seated at the table next to us was the previous owner. She is still a regular customer, and her photo is proudly displayed on the wall in the restaurant. That says a lot about the history, loyalty, and character of this place. I also accidentally left my credit card behind and did not realize it until about an hour and a half later. I called the restaurant, and the management immediately helped resolve the issue. They kindly arranged to mail it to my home in Los Angeles, and I have now received it safely. That level of honesty and customer care is rare. A special thank you to the management for handling everything so professionally, and to Heather for her kindness, attentiveness, and outstanding service. Highly recommend this spot for great breakfast, quality food, welcoming atmosphere, and a team that truly cares about its customers.

It was spread so very thin. So it was dry. Mostly bread. That was disappointing. I paid $7.00 for two slices of bread it felt like. The Turkey sandwich ($12) looked good! So juicy from the red, very beautiful tomato that was on it. The sandwiches didn't come with a side, so the prices felt too high for what we actually got. But given the location.... It's kind of expected I guess. I probably won't be returning honestly. They also have a soda fountain and water. Good tasting water. Sometimes fountain water is gross.

Always fresh ingredients, healthy, and flavorful. The market has grown and more stuff has been added since we've been here. Great upper scale wine selection and unique grab and go meals. We love the frozen soup entrees. We bought 8 to take home for my freezer. They are only around 11$ per box and 2 servings. You just put the bag in boiling water for 40 minutes and you have a meal. Chicken noodle, chilie verde (mostly meat not really a soup) clam chowder and lobster bisque are our favorites. Back in the day the lobster bisque used to have chunks of lobster in it. Not sure if we got a random one without meat or if they stopped putting in lumps of meat but we were disappointed in that. Flavor was still on point but without the lobster it's just not as good. Overall still a nice place and reasonable fresh soups. If they truly took out the lobster to cut cost, I will not purchase that one again.

I was deciding between MisFits & another location so I texted a friend to make the final decision. Long story short, she chose MisFits & we met around 1pm. From what I've been recommended, my/our experience was pretty aligned with what I had heard. Random summer Thursday. Perfect for a good lunch. I was familiar with where MisFits was but never walked inside. Considering that other downtown locations either are on a one-way street, are in busier areas or have less parking availability, the location is relatively convenient. I parked right in front of the restaurant & entered an enamoring space. The entrance leads into a hallway with the host toward the end. Once past the "host hall," the interior is 80% modern, 20% retro. Filled with booths, clear lanes and a good mix of seating options. The lighting is perfectly balanced with large windows for natural light to be let in with other fixtures filling the gaps. We sat in the large "L" shaped booth & our server was with us almost immediately (there were only 2 other tables sat at the time). Of all the menus I've observed, MisFits may have the most efficient offerings ever. There's not tons of variety but it didn't feel limited either. Classic American Favorites, Only. While our server was wrapping up with the other 2 tables, I reluctantly decided on the 1/2 Sandwich (The Wifey) 1/2 Soup (Rotisserie Chicken Tortilla Soup) with Sweet Potato Fries while my friend ordered the B.B. Burger & normal fries. The food came out relatively quickly, less than 10mins after placing the order. The chicken sandwich was good but I was more surprised at how hearty & flavorful the soup was! It made me want to order a full order of nachos. My friend stated that her burger was good except the bacon was thicker & chewier than she would have liked (but she's picky). We conversed for another 20-30mins afterwards but I think we were both satisfied with our meals. Overall, I believe that MisFits has almost the perfect name: it's located downtown but still seems to be one of the more underrated restaurants in the district. If you want above-average American food & don't want to pay above average prices, this is the place to go. I'd be happy to revisit in the evening to see the full luminary experience.
