Service was spot on throughout the entire night. We started with the deviled eggs, half plain and half Chef's Choice. The Chef's Choice were the best, drizzled with chili crisp (or pickled Szechuan peppercorns) and topped with a tiny gherkin and fresh dill. The soup of the day was a cabbage and radish soup. It was interesting and very homey but I wish I had ordered the salad. I had the Novarro Farm sweet Potato Gnocchi (kale and pecan pesto, Birch Bottom Farm Georgia candy roaster, fresh chevre). I was a little hesitant about the kale pesto but should NOT have been. This dish was delicious--great garlic flavor. Would order again. The burger looked amazing and while The Hubs said it was good, he also said it needed some more spice. They had a couple of rotating beers from Heirloom--a Mexican Lager and an Italian Pilsner. I had the Water Lily cocktail, their take on an Aviation. Order it just because it's beautiful (and refreshing). The photo does not depict the deep color of it. I asked what other gin based cocktails they had on their menu. They didn't but the server/bartender offered to make me a Bee's Knees for the second round. It was delicious! The atmosphere here is casual but the food is elevated. I kept thinking this is what a French bistro would be like inside. I want to come back and shop the market. Oh, and the apple pie was excellent as well!

What a fantastic little find!…read more We stopped by for brunch as this "Mediterranean-inspired" brunch caught our eye. It lived up to our expectations and exceeded them. The restaurant is bright, clean, and modern. We started with the Smooth Criminal cocktail and the Pineapple Sangria. Both great. Well balanced, unique ingredients, everything you want in a unique cocktail. We did order the whipped feta appetizer, but unfortunately they were very busy and there was some miscommunication. We didn't get to eat it at the restaurant, but they kindly packaged it for us to take home and we enjoyed it later. Although it was good, it would have been way better fresh. But these things happen, it didn't spoil our brunch. On to the mains: lamb shoulder hash...at brunch? Yes, please!!! Topped with two perfectly poached eggs, and brunch potatoes on the side with a nice crisp salad and fresh bread. The lamb was seasoned to perfection, and melted in my mouth. The biggest surprise for me were the potatoes. Brunch potatoes are usually overly greasy and bland. These were fresh, salted, and had the perfect crispness. I would like to think they are fresh, but even if they're frozen...well done! I would have happily eaten 2-3 of these lamb dishes. The French toast was the second entree. Brown butter and maple foam, on top of a piece of French toast that is the size of a small child. Even with all of the sauce, the toast was still crisp. It was a very heavy dish, some fresh berries with some acidity would be nice to cut through it, but the overall flavor was on point. The wine list is exquisite. If you enjoy good wine, this is the spot for you. Their reserve list has some absolute bangers on it at a very reasonable price. All in all, it was a nice experience. We would happily recommend and return.

Ambiance reminds me of a fancy place you would find in a larger city. Upscale and minimalistic. Very pleasant. I sat at the bar so unsure about service at a table. Unfortunately, I felt overlooked at the bar, especially since I wasn't drinking. The staff was extremely busy making drinks and I had to get their attention whenever I needed anything. Would recommend making reservations to get a table seat to receive proper service. I ordered the burger with fries. Cooked well but the flavor was nothing special. Will return and try something else!

It was semi warm and it just wasn't what I was expecting. But my father-in-laws wife had it and loved it. So I chose this restaurant because they had fried chicken in the menu. Well, I'm never gonna turn down fried chicken so I ordered it. I included pictures for reference. At first glance I thought they had over cooked it because of its dark color. But as I started eating I realized that they had used a ton of paprika in the batter to give it that dark red amber color. The chicken was good and not overcooked. However, they used a batter for the crust. Much like a Japanese tempura but less garlic. The crust was a hard crunchy shell. The flavor was ok but I just don't care for battered chicken. I also felt like it was cooked too hot. The crust was borderline over cooked but the inside was done. That's just my opinion. They served the chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy on the side. Both just warm and as my meal progressed the gravy was straight up cold. But I was finished so I powered through. To be fair, the fried chicken was the least expensive entree on the menu. But I'm kind of a fried chicken snob so I'm gonna give it a 6 out of 10. I prob would not order it again, but there were some other things on the menu I am excited to try on our next visit.

The menu was unexpected yet alluring with comfort and complex rolled into one. Dishes typical like a burger and fries were beautifully elevated in Stone Horses' own way. The focaccia appetizer was to die for! Pillowy on the inside yet light and crisp on the outside. With the cheese and herbs they served with it made it positively decadent. A word of caution, it is extremely filling and with just the two of us I had to muster my self control to stop eating it. Our service was so helpful, informative and made conversation but not overly so. It was such a beautiful space with a delightful patio space and a market in the back with so much more than I imagined. Don't miss on opportunity to try Stone Horse nor the market. Unfortunately, the quality of the service has declined significantly. During our most recent visit, our server rarely checked on us, and we waited over 30 minutes for a salad. We eventually had to ask the hostess if she could check on it for us. When our server finally brought the salad, she told us, "I thought you wanted your appetizer first, and I have another table, so someone else is going to take care of you." The interaction felt unnecessarily dismissive, particularly after we had already been waiting so long with very little attention or communication. To make matters worse, after the long wait and confusion, we were ultimately brought the wrong order. The second server who took over our table was much kinder and more attentive, which we appreciated, but by that point the overall experience had already been disappointing. It's unfortunate because we genuinely enjoyed coming here in the past and still think highly of the food, but the service during our recent visits has declined enough that we don't plan to return.

They definitely have their own twist on things. The sweet potatoes were good but a little heavy on the nutmeg. They tasted like a mix of apple and pumpkin pie. The mac and cheese was really creamy. I really liked the horseradish coleslaw. I'm not a big fan of collard greens but I still tried them and actually thought they were pretty good. For our mains, two of us had the brisket and one had ribs. Both were super good. There were 4 different sauces. I recommend trying them all. I wanted to try the sausage but they were sold out. I guess you need to get there earlier than an hour before they closed. We finished with a couple desserts. The banana pudding was probably the best I've had. Their seasonal cobbler was blueberry and very tasty! I was hoping for peach. Maybe next time. Yes there will definitely be a next time. It was a lot of food so we had plenty left over that ate for lunch the next day. The atmosphere is super friendly and really clean. Like most barbecue places I've been to there is no table service. You order and pay at the counter. Then depending on how busy they are they will bring your food to your table or have you pick up at the counter. For me the cherry on top is their pay it forward meal. For $15 you can buy a meal for someone in need. They hand you a receipt that you pin to a board. Then when someone needs a meal they can go in and grab one off the board. They offer them their lunch special. While I was there I saw a very grateful individual come in and get a meal. The staff were super nice and treated them just like any other customer. Great food! Great service! Great value! Do yourself a favor and try this place!

The fish portion was large and had a delicate and crispy batter that was delicious. The batter didn't get soft or gooey, or fall off while eating it. It came on a pile of potato wedges, which were also made well with crispy-ish outsides and soft insides. The fish on top of them limited the crispness of the outsides, but didn't lower the score. With a squeeze of grilled lemon and some malt vinegar it was pretty close to perfection. It may take a trip to Jolly Old England to beat it, and I've had F&C in England and Ireland so I can at least compare it to the good stuff.

Upon arriving at my table, I was offered still and sparkling water to drink and my server was very attentive to my needs and kept both of my water glasses full. I ordered the chicken piccata. The chicken picatta came with a generous helping of three pieces of chicken served with a buttery pan sauce and capers alongside whipped potatoes. The chicken was excellently cooked and was tender and moist with ever-so-slightly crisped edges. The sauce was tangy and the capers added a bite that worked perfectly with it on a way that really made the chicken piccata shine as a dish. The whipped potatoes did not have a lot of flavor on their own, but meshed well with the pan sauce. At the conclusion of the meal, the check came with an Andes mint.
