The challenge was how to move the table! Luckily, several helpful people on social media referred me to Dave's Billiards. Dave responded to my email inquiry promptly and we set up a move/install date. Dave and his co-worker, Martin showed up exactly on time at the sellers house and got right to work. Within an hour they had the table moved to my basement! After another 1.5 hours, they had the table perfectly assembled. Both Dave and Martin were friendly, courteous and easy to work with. They made the whole process so simple and worry-free. Thank you David and Martin for the fine work you do. Both my wife and I were very impressed.

It's a decent sized venue with lots of seating and the walls are strewn with art from previous paint nites. One thing I do have to say is that their light fixtures & bathroom decor could parallel a higher end restaurant; and for a lounge, it was pretty brightly lit. Other than that, it's pretty low low key casual complete with a set of VLTs on the side. They also have dartboards and a bar which had slow service according to the coworkers I was with. Food fare is pretty much fast food & a lot of their offerings are fried. That being said, there are other places to eat close by such as Boston Pizza; keep in mind that outside food & drink is not allowed in this venue either. Overall, for its function, I'd go here again for paint nite as there was ample parking & seating, but I wouldn't come here for anything other than that.

The pool tables were a little more than well-worn out, but it made the game that much more challenging lol (and frustrating for some). It seemed like the kitchen and staff just kept feeding us food, with a large selection of hot-out-of-the-oven pizzas, crispy popcorn chicken bites, and these little crispy beefy boneless rib bites (whatever they were was tasty)! They also had a nice selection of gluten-free foods like veggie-hummus platters, and my 2 favorite items: Pulled Jackfruit Nachos & Pulled BBQ Jackfruit Pizza!! The pizza was delicious - hard to describe the taste of jackfruit and mozza, but you'll have to see for yourself ;) (the virgin Shirley temple I requested was also delightful) The staff were very helpful and polite in helping everyone get their bowling shoes, cleaning/providing food and drinks, and troubleshooting the odd issues we had throughout the evening (ex. bowling pin stuck in the gutter & throwing off calibration of points). She was able to answer any questions we had and make recommendations. We also liked that there was a dart board for us to try out any of the darts before purchasing. Great selection, reasonably priced and great service.

I bought a break cue from the store on Tuesday afternoon. I went home and try out the cue, after 3…read moregames of pool, the tip flew off, I called the store and talk to the owner and he said to drop off the cue and he will get it repaired for me. When I dropped off the cue the next day, he was that the tip was glued properly and he will get fixed without cost. The owner was very helpful and polite

A good dive bar, centrally located…read more The night we were there, it was a metal night. Lots of pretty, shaggy-haired eye candy for the ladies to admire, and all the bands were great. Nice and tight musicianship and good stage presence. The audience all seemed to know each other-- big fans there for the final show of their friends. Some of the women were a bit...shall we say...long in the tooth, intent on imagining themselves as they were in their 20s. However, 30-something years of chain smoking and frying their hair with fake blonde (turning it to straw), has aged them considerably. Wearing outfits cut down to there to make up for that. So if you're a dude of a certain age, you'll probably get lucky if you want. Depends on your tastes. The bartender and cocktail waitress were practically surly. The bathrooms were tiny and a little ramshackle. $15 cover charge. Can't judge the food because I just had beer, but at least I didn't have to have cash and could use a debit card for a tab, so that was good.

I concurred and we decided on Dewey's. Food, drink, and smack dab in the middle of campus. Perfect. I got there a bit early (yay me!) after practically sprinting from the train station to the pub. Do I call it a pub? It's kind of one part cafe, one part pub, one part pool hall, one part study hall, one part music venue. It's Dewey's. We met on a Monday evening so it wasn't too busy. A couple of guys shooting on the tables and an intense philosophical discussion going on across the room. The best part about Dewey's is that is caters to a student budget. My large hot chocolate was only $2. (A small is $1.75!) That's about half what a HC costs at my usual coffee shop haunts. Although I didn't grab any food while I was here last time, my recommendation is the sweet potato fries. They're not actually that much healthier for you than regular fries, especially when you factor in the dip (so delicious!), but they're damn tasty and the perfect sharer. I would definitely come by more often, but as a not-real-student anymore I can't get wireless here. Worth it for the inexpensive food, beer and coffees, though. Five stars if I were in school, three stars as an alum.

Food and beverage is inexpensive but is not particularly outstanding. Selection is limited and wait staff are slow to deal with tables particularly when it is busy. That said they have improved their technology in recent years so that helps a bit. I do like the fact that they have a number of non-alcoholic coffee shop beverages. The noise level can be frustrating particularly when they have live music (the accoustics are not great). The seating configurations can be awkward depending on the size of your group. The upstairs area has some more comfortable seating and the pool area is pretty open which is nice. The washrooms are accessible via stairs, and are nothing special. I would go most anywhere off campus instead of Dewey's if given the time and the chance, but it's nice to have a licensed facility in this part of campus anyway.

They serve pizza and burgers and sandwiches. Staff were pleasant. Food reasonably priced and good. Clubhouse with Caesar salad is excellent. What's not to like.
