With the many trolleys they are the ones that have to pull the extra weight and without the orange line the buses will be short.
    Joel C.

With the many things that I had seen was the Transit Department and the San Diego Trollies were not designed for the floor waters with the amount of Rain that came down in two Days the total of 8 Months rain that came down in Six Hours with another atmospheric River headed our way next week. From when California had lost power from Los Angeles to the International border no one was prepared and yet so many want to sue the city and charge them for the Clean Up. With the city of San Diego has been around since the start of the 1920 and early as 1905 yes, the city of San Diego has many old areas that the history of Calif is now following right behind it. With the many areas of San Diego and those of the Encanto Areas have no Trolley service with the busses will have to take on the extra work to move passengers and those that need to get through the many areas of the Orange Line and the many areas of the Blue Line that will tax the power grid and the drivers. The conditi0on of the many tracks and the station are to be determined and the use of buses will be used to get people to their destinations. As an Elite reviewer the many trains that I had to use and the constant switching over to the next trains yes there are many areas that are flooded out and the South Bound stations are being used as switch over stations and the trains that are running are the Green Line and the Blue Line are having to take on heavy passenger loads. If you leave after 5pm is arrive their early you may be standing through the good portion of the trip and the distance to wherever your station, was you will be standing. The many years that I have been ridding the trolley is the many areas of San Diego and the many people that have been affected some of the many people that have lost their cars and places to live. With the city of San Diego has declared an emergency and the federal money should help those repair and replace what has been damaged and the infrastructure for the many that have lost businesses and the places of the schools many of them were flooded out here in San Diego and the North County. There has been only one storm that was strong enough that rained so hard and tore the windows off buildings the storm of 1984 yes it rained like this one. The 12th and Imperial Transit Center were the hardest hit with water that flooded the many areas and caused water to go up into the cars and the workers had to walk through its electricity and water don't mix. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer, the many areas of the 12th and Imperial Transfer Center and bus station looked like a flood had just washed through the heart of the city and the Terminal Station was gone. After the evening the evening the flood waters in many areas still remain and the cleanup and the repairs, they are ahead with the many workers going the distance to get riders and those going to work. To the many that lost their homes and their places to live the city has emergency assistance to help with flood victims and that we must all work together instead of against each other of what I saw yesterday of the many people and the screaming.

Drum roll please!!! SD Park-2-Park shuttle is EVERY Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6pm-midnight on Thursdays, and 6pm-2am on Fridays and Saturdays!!! A one night pass is $5, weekend passes are $10! Maybe I'm too excited about these prices, but I think that they are a good deal--especially if you are in heels or don't want to get all sweaty walking, or if you dress "like" a hooker and don't want to get harassed, yet again, by the cops while on your way to the Whistlestop. This is especially great for us locals, who can walk over to 30th. But, it was really intended for those who drive to the area and can't find a place to park. The idea is to use the parking garage on 30th street in North Park, and then shuttle your heart out to various restaurants and bars in University Heights, Normal Heights, North Park and South Park. The shuttle runs the length of 30th street from Adams Ave. all the way down to Beech. It does a loop in University Heights for those who want to check out Small Bar, Lei Lounge etc. It even makes a stop at the Lafayette Hotel--hello Red Fox Room and Gilly's!!! Other details: -Party bus feel -Cozy seats -Staff are great--in fact they are the owners!!! -They have an actual schedule that they stick to--so you won't get stranded -Featured bars give discounts to those riding the shuttle Have fun!

What's not to love about a shuttle that takes you door to door from some of San Diego's best beer bars and amazing restaurants. This is a business that should thrive on 30th st. where family owned businesses have really taken hold. For 5 dollars, you can't go wrong. Do everyone a favor, ditch the stinky ass cabs (which end up costing more anyways) and support this business! I really can't give a better review of a business. This service is seriously one of the few the community should rally behind as it helps everyone. Keeps our drunken asses off the roads, helps the environment, and showcases some of the most insanely awesome bars on the planet (ok that might be a stretch...but you get the point). and all for a 5 dollar pass that works till 2 am?!?! Honestly people, get on board already! (see what i did there..?? I'm so clever)

The station itself is older but that gives it some charm. If you're coming here thinking you're going to have a whole bunch of food options, think again. There's one little kiosk with a guy selling a few sandwiches and coffee. Honestly though the kiosk guy was great, really friendly even early in the morning. I wasn't exactly sure how this whole thing worked since I'm not from here, but the attendant was nice and explained that my train would have a line up starting 20 minutes before boarding, then we'd all board together. If you're taking a train out of here I'd give yourself extra time and bring your own food (but stop by the kiosk guy for a coffee, he's a delight).

My phone screen is shattered and I have large, colorful bruises all along my knees and left thigh which appeared immediately. I was even bleeding a bit through my clothes. The janitor cleaned the water but was otherwise dismissive and lacking empathy even after seeing the damages. So, I asked him to apologize repeatedly for neglecting his duty . He adamantly refused, stating that "HE (personally) didn't spill the water" and "can't be everywhere at once" lol. The manager had the sense to apologize but was condescending. Talking over me the entire time, loudly defending the janitor within earshot of him. Mansplaining excuses that are NOT the customer's burden to understand such as: "we can't hire janitors 24/7" and "you said the spill looked like it was there for a while? Well, he ONLY clocked in 1hr ago and cleans the restrooms first". How is that my business lol? Any assigned duty during his shift is his responsibility. It's just common sense to apologize. Your internal staffing issues are also not a customer concern; you simply need more janitors or at least for them to prioritize tasks more efficiently. I've worked as a server and can't count the number of times I've had to fix and take accountability for a previous shift's mistake, btw. Annoying to listen to the manager trying to refute and twist all of my legitimate points in the janitor's defense. Yet, fully admitting that he needs to be admonished. Stop being your employee's boy. Teach basic respect. He even countered that this person is a "third party" hire when I pointed out that he still works for and therefore, represents Amtrak. Ridiculous LMFAO. Even ChatGPT finds them rude lol. No professionalism.

My only gripe is that I wish I would have known about it earlier, lol. The app was easy to use and book a ride. When I first loaded it up, I thought it wasn't working, but it was just that the ride window had not started yet (it starts taking rides at 7am, and I was looking at 6:50a). I was able to book a ride immediately and it gave me a waiting time of about 3 minutes. The wait time was not entirely accurate, as it ended up being closer to 10 minutes. But, once I was picked up, it was smooth sailing. I even had my luggage with me, and while it was tricky, I was able to fit it all in the vehicle. Driver was super friendly, too. Because this is totally free, and worked for my needs, I'm giving it five stars. But this is not a good service if you are in a hurry or are particular about how you want to travel. It was an open-air vehicle, which meant no windows and no A/C. We also stopped to pick someone else up so you won't necessarily get a direct ride. If that's important to you, you should get an Uber or Lyft instead. It also does NOT go to the airport, so you will need a rideshare for that. Also, I used this service in the early morning. I can't speak for during peak times. But for back and forth from the convention center in the early morning, it was perfect. And since everything else in SD is so expensive, I'll take whatever savings I can get.
