Always a crowd pleaser, if your crowd is four people or under of course. As of 7/19 the Skyfari is free again. Over the years they have been known to charge admission whenever revenue projections miss. Enjoy it while it lasts. Fun game - Count the number of hats in trees during your voyage.

This is easily the best ride at the San Diego Zoo! It was a great way to start our visit. And best of all this ride is included with a basic admission ticket. Skyfari conveniently transports you and three other people (max 4 people per gondola) to the other end of the zoo, with bird's eye views of the zoo and the surrounding area. Several sections of Balboa Park and Downtown San Diego's skyline are on display. We even caught glimpses of the Coronado Bridge. My daughter pointed out that each gondola is beautifully painted with a different colorful bird. My girls loved the views and the cool breeze from this ride so much they begged me to take them two more times after our morning ride. I highly recommend Skyfari!

Great way to overlook the San Diego Zoo. The lines definitely get long but since the trams are constantly moving, the lines go pretty quickly. It's also a nice way to rest your feet for a bit and make your way to the other side of the Zoo. The take-off and landing can be quite bumpy...so hold tight!!!

This is a nice way to get to the other side of the park. Also some nice views but if you're afraid of heights then I would pass. If you're not a member you have to pay around 10 bucks or something.

The Skyfari is a great way to not only take in views of Balboa Park and airplanes landing, but also a fast way to get from the entrance to the Northern Frontier side. The lines go by pretty quick although for some reason Skyfari West lines are usually longer than the East one. I wish the zoo would update their signage because I still see people whipping out their passes to get on the ride when it's free. The only indication is a sign on the Token machine when you get near the front of the line. The ride goes pretty quick and it can get a little breezy up there.

This was cool. Birdseye view of a few of the animals in the Zoo. Line was a pain. Go early to avoid this. Also reduces the walk back and forth twice thing we all do. Seems like you're in the Rainforest or something, best part, though is the city views and greenery. So much to see, plus the animals underneath.

I first saw this while at a museum in Balboa Park and wanted to figure out what it was so I could ride it. This itself was an incentive to visit the zoo, but was ultimately a let-down. It's a good way to get from one end of the zoo to the other and is definitely a life saver for your feet. Unlimited rides are now included in the ticket price so you can utilize it as much as you want. However, that's pretty much all it's good for. I thought you'd be able to see more of the zoo, but you really can't see much with all the trees. I saw Balboa Park more clearly than any part of the zoo. It's still a nice way to get away from it all and you get a good breeze. Just don't expect to see anything.

Absolute perfection -- somehow managing to please an entire car full of people, which honestly deserves its own award. A week later, he picked us back up from the airport and delivered us home to Poway like the vacation fairy godfather he is. Great conversation, incredibly professional, genuinely kind, and the kind of person who makes the ride feel like part of the vacation instead of just transportation. This company struck gold with Jonas. After riding with him, I wouldn't even consider using another service. Five stars isn't enough -- give this man a cape and a raise!

Except I made a mistake with the original pick up time. I put 2:45 AM vs PM. My fault. I had a very hard time getting ahold of anyone. (Email on website didn't work) calling they told me to email this was 15 minutes or less after booking. Finally I called the next morning and got someone. Luckily they were able to change it for me. Skip to day of arrival. Of course our connecting flight was delayed. I messaged city captain to let them know we were going to be later than expected. Our original driver still showed up at the normal time and asked where we were. I told them that I contacted the company and the rescheduled for A little later. He told me to call him when we were out of baggage claim. In the meantime, I got a message that a different driver was on their way to pick us up at the new anticipated time. I let them know our original driver was waiting for us. I didn't hear anything back, so I Joe they cancelled that driver. We finally got picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Phew! The driver was super friendly and understanding when we apologized about the situation. Fast forward to scheduled pick up from hotel to be take to the airport at 4 Am. I was texted at 3:30 that our driver was on the way. I stood outside of the hotel until 4:05 when I called and said "hey we were supposed to be picked up at 4 and our driver isn't here" I don't think they remembered. You could see their car on the map that was not driving. Shortly after my call it started moving. 20 minutes late our driver showed up. Luckily we were able To navigate through the airport quickly to make our flight. I am not sure if these issues are normal? We have scheduled Ubers before at 4 AM and have never had an issue. So It's weird that with a premium car service this would happen. I don't know. Everyone we had Contact with was friendly though.

Initially, I used for a large group executive Mercedes transfer vehicle for several hours. Everything was very well thought out, punctual, and kind service. They are even willing to extend and give quotes for extensions if needed even though it was unexpected. I appreciate that. Vehicle was top notch, clean, and had waters. Driver always easily available when needed and ready to go and very good with communication. Then started to use for airport drop off. Very lux service. Picked up with a Escalade always very clean and shiny in and out, driver always dressed up in a suit and tie (nice touch), and they help you with all your luggage on and off. Waters waiting for you after a long trip. Recently, had come back and was at a layover and forgot to set up a pick up and called Mike. He was able to arrange a pick up within hours. I really appreciate it bc after traveling for 24 hrs all you want to worry about is to go to sleep and this was one less thing off my plate to think about. So, thank you 5 Star Transportation Services for all you do! And yes, I highly recommend them. You can't go wrong. I will continue working with them. I have them as my contact on my phone now!

Located at 12th and Imperial is this transit station, which basically is the heart of all transit for the San Diego area. The Greyhound station is basically next door at the Southeast corner of the huge terminal, which is pretty cool. First, I purchased my ticket as a straight bus from San Diego to San Jose, Ca., we stopped 4 different times, and on our third stop there was a 2hr delay, in Los Angeles. Second, they(Greyhound) did not tell us why we had stopped in Los Angeles for 2 hours, the reason changed three different times. The employees told us: 1. The bus needed to be cleaned, which was not(as soon as we got back on the bus there were literally paper towels on the floor in the first 3 rows and the whole bus still smelled like urine) 2. They were waiting for a new driver coming from Tijuana(like what does that even mean?) 3. They need to switch buses due to servicing. Third, the employee personnel collectively were the utmost rudest people I've ever had to deal with. Whoever was working on December 19 on this ticket confirmation deserves to be fired; BESIDES the drivers. The drivers were fine and the rides were the only thing decent about this trip. The employees that were in charge of overseeing the 2hr delay in Los Angeles were so rude that I will NEVER RIDE greyhound again!!!! I was yelled at to go to the back of the line, when I should get priority on the returning bus because I wasn't supposed to stop in LA to begin with. I was told by the same rude employee that "Greyhound will cancel my ticket and I would have to walk to San Jose if I don't go to the back of the line". Third, my ticket didn't work the second time they tried scanning it to get on the same bus that was delayed for 2hrs. It was the EXACT SAME BUS and my ticket did not work! Luckily the bus driver was nice enough to let me get on the bus, bless his soul. Forth, assigned seating goes out the window, I had 9D, window seat. I was not allowed to claim my assigned seat both times! Absolutely ridiculous, why have assigned seating in the first place! Makes me wonder, if I had paid for an extra seat next to me to avoid a seating partner if that would've happened... SCAM!!! Lastly, my bus ride was delayed 3 whole hours and I was late to work! My bus was scheduled to arrive in San Jose, Ca at 5:55am on Dec 20th, it did not arrive until 9am. Absolutely ridiculous! I WILL NEVER RIDE GREYHOUND AGAIN.
