If I could give them negative stars i would. This company is Burrow House's white glove delivery provider, and my experience has been anything but "white glove." On June 16, I scheduled my delivery for June 26 and was assured I would receive a call 24 hours in advance with my delivery window. Instead, on the morning of June 26, I received a notification that my delivery would not be made and was prompted to reschedule for July 10. After calling customer service, I was told my couch was already in their warehouse in Indiana and that they could deliver it on June 30. Based on that assurance, I rearranged my work schedule and accepted the new delivery date. On the morning of June 30, I received a text confirming my delivery window was between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Less than an hour later, I received another text stating my delivery was unavailable and prompting me, once again, to reschedule for July 10. This level of service is unacceptable. I've now rearranged my work schedule twice based on delivery commitments that were never honored. The communication has been inconsistent, the scheduling unreliable, and the customer experience incredibly frustrating. If you're ordering from Burrow, I strongly recommend declining the white glove delivery service if this is the company providing it. And if you're purchasing from another retailer that uses this delivery provider, I'd encourage you to consider taking your business elsewhere. read more

Metropolitan Warehouse and Delivery is the absolute worst delivery company. They sent me a tracker to my cell for a 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. delivery of my Koala sofa bed. I asked for Saturday morning and they made it a weekday afternoon but fine. Then the tracker kept pushing the window back and back all day. Finally, it was at 4:31 p.m. to 5:31 p.m. I say looking at the tracker on my phone waiting. Then at 4:50 p.m. I get a text they came and left! They never called me or texted me. I call customer service and eventually speak to the supervisor Carols ID 388. Totally useless. He says something about how he 'wouldn't call me a liar' and proceeds to waste my time for 15 minutes before saying in so many words F U. Meanwhile the app tracker still says they never even arrived. How am I supposed to know the delivery people have arrived when the tracker THEY SENT ME says it's not arrived. I am trying now to get a refund from Koala. Any company that uses them as a delivery service is asking for lost sales. read more

I purchased a bed from Anthropologie and Metropolitan Warehouse and Delivery is the delivery service they use. It took 3 different delivery dates, all 4 hour windows, and no one came to put the bed together correctly. In fact the last delivery date no one showed at all. I made the mistake of giving MWD a second chance to deliver a rug, also from Anthropologie and again found myself waiting 5 hours only to find out that it's not coming today because they failed to even load it on the truck this morning. This has been the worse experience I have ever had with a delivery service. First off they were told what week worked for me and they told me it could be done. Well it got delivered when I was not home. Luckily I was able to have my friend be here. Upon delivery they realized they had forgotten a piece of my furniture. My friend talked to the supervisor and he said it would be a priority. That date was May 16th. It has not been a priority because at first they could not find my item then I was told they would call to schedule which they did not. I have had to call them and tell them what week would work and they are not able to deliver at that time. Now I have to wait three weeks June 23 to get my piece of furniture which was supposed to be a priority. Never again will I allow my furniture to go through this 3rd party service!!! read more

1 star -- and only because zero isn't an option. Metropolitan Warehouse failed to deliver our order, violated their own protocols, and then lied about it. Their team claims to have arrived, knocked on two doors, and left -- but we were home the entire time, never heard a knock, and our unit number is clearly marked at both the front and back of the building. Based on their own timeline, they almost certainly knocked on the wrong doors entirely. Per Metropolitan's stated protocol, the delivery team is required to call twice -- five minutes before arrival and again upon arrival. We received one call at 8:34 AM with no voicemail. We called back five times. No answer. When we contacted customer service, we were told we couldn't have the delivery company's name, couldn't speak to them, and couldn't be connected to anyone who could actually help. The supervisor told us their records showed multiple call attempts were made -- which our call log directly contradicts -- and refused to correct the inaccuracy. The team was still in the area and the order was two barstools. A same-day return would have taken minimal time. They refused. Now we're expected to reschedule, give up another full day of work, and trust a team that ignored their own procedures and wouldn't return our calls. The customer service throughout was dismissive, rude, and completely unacceptable for a white-glove service. Avoid Metropolitan Warehouse if you have any other option. read more

Worst furniture delivery and assembly experience ever. We ordered a bed from Castlery, paid for a white glove experience. The bed was not assembled in the first attempt due to missing parts. We waited about 3 weeks to get the missing parts from the vendor. On the second attempt, again few missing parts. We are now stuck with a half assembled bed. And at this point, we have reasons to believe the assembly team is misplacing the parts themselves to get out of assembling the furniture. Do not work with them. read more

In Dec we ordered a couch and a loveseat. Waited 3 months only to have the wrong couch and love seat delivered. Turns out our furniture went to Tennessee instead of CA. Waited another 2 weeks for our couches to get back to our state. Then they deliver them and the driver brings me out to the truck and shows me all the damage on the couch. After it was opened in Tennessee it was just recovered with plastic and no cardboard. Now I am at 4 months and only have one half of my order. Metropolitan Warehouse and Delivery has been, without exaggeration, one of the most frustrating and poorly managed delivery experiences I have ever had. I ordered a dining table through another company that contracts Metropolitan for delivery and assembly. At the time of purchase, it was explicitly noted that we are never home before 5:00 PM on weekdays, and we were told this would not be an issue. Despite this, Metropolitan has repeatedly contacted us to say delivery would occur at 10:00 AM. Each and every time, we have clearly communicated--again--that we are at work during those hours and cannot accept delivery. Each time, we are assured that the delivery will be rescheduled and that a note has been added stating delivery must be after 5:00 PM. Those assurances appear to mean absolutely nothing. On multiple occasions, we have then received calls from delivery drivers at 10:00 AM, stating they are at our house and will leave if we are not there. We again explain--yet again--that we are never home at that time and have repeatedly requested delivery after 5:00 PM. Today was the final straw. We received a call at 4:37 PM stating the delivery team was at our house and would leave in 10 minutes. I informed them I would be home in less than 10 minutes (only because I was unexpectedly released early from work). Despite this, by the time I arrived--within that window--they were already gone. This company has demonstrated: A complete inability to follow basic delivery instructions Total disregard for customers' time and schedules Shockingly poor internal communication Zero accountability despite repeated failures At this point, I would strongly advise no one to do business with Metropolitan Warehouse and Delivery. Last night I decided to check because it has been 2 1/2 weeks since I got the tracking information. Good thing I did because my delivery was cancelled without warning. I agree with other reviewers that this is the worst delivery company I've ever had to work with. They called incessantly to schedule delivery right after I made my order including 8:30am on Christmas morning. I got the delivery set up and cleared my schedule for the delivery window two weeks in advance only to get a call the day of that they weren't coming. I couldn't get an answer why. Eventually a week later I was told the bed I ordered wasn't even in the warehouse yet. I rescheduled delivery and cleared my schedule again for the delivery time frame. I had requested a different time frame and they chose one that was much harder for me, but I made it work. I got a call that day they were coming and waited until the end of the delivery window for them to show up. When the driver arrived he told me the bed frame they were delivering was damaged and it had been damaged at the warehouse. So they knew when they arranged delivery and at 5:30am when the bed was loaded onto the truck but nobody from the company bothered to let me know and they instead let me wait around for them. Of course I don't want a brand new bed with a hole punched through the cane! I ended up cancelling my order completely and I'm going to order from a furniture company that has a better delivery service. There's plenty of competition out there and I hope companies stop working with this place. Worst delivery team I ever worked with. Even though the delivery was a white glove service, they ended up giving up assembling the furniture piece when some bolts did not fasten. While I asked for them to stay while I asked the furniture vendor for guidance, they abandoned me saying that they have other deliveries to go to. Ended up with unassembled pieces of furniture lying around in my living room. Vendor confirmed that it could be assembled to a functioning kevel without those bolts and ended up sending another moving company to my place to finish assembling the furniture for me. I had my white glove delivery canceled about a week ago without any notification of the reason for cancellation. A week passed but I did not received any update as to why my delivery was suddenly cancelled or when it will be delivered. I had significant inconveniences due to this delay since I already removed my furniture pieces that were to be replaced by the ones I should have received earlier this week. I ended up receiving unassembled pieces of furniture (even though it was supposed to be a white glove delivery) a week and a half after the initially scheduled date. Even on delivery date, the delivery team showed up 2 hours before the scheduled time without notice so I had to scramble to get a new service elevator reservation ready to move my furniture pieces. One of the worst delivery service providers out their. I had no choice in picking my delivery preference (FedEx, UPS). They took over 3 weeks to deliver my product, which was DAMAGED in transit. I also have video evidence of the delivery person dropping my product to the floor from the truck. Which I am not sure if that cause the damage or was already damaged in transit. However this should have never been dropped to the floor from the truck. Now I have to wait again for several weeks to have another replacement product delivered due to the fault of the delivery driver. Which now is taking weeks to redeliver the same product.
