I recently purchased a Marisol 71" Oak Sideboard from Hernest and paid for white-glove delivery, which was fulfilled by Metropolitan Warehouse & Delivery/Yita LLC. Unfortunately, my experience with the delivery service was disappointing. The sideboard is a large, substantial piece of furniture, and the delivery team unboxed it outside before bringing it into my home and completing the assembly indoors. After the delivery, I discovered a noticeable chip on the edge of the leftmost door. Hernest has since told me that the sideboard left their warehouse in perfect condition. I obviously cannot independently determine exactly when the damage occurred, but if the item did leave Hernest undamaged, then it appears the damage occurred sometime during transportation, unboxing, handling, or delivery. What was especially frustrating was how quickly the delivery team left once the piece was assembled. They cleaned up and departed without walking me through an inspection of the furniture or giving me a meaningful opportunity to examine it for damage. I also was not asked to sign anything acknowledging that I had inspected and accepted the delivery in good condition. By the time I noticed the chip, the delivery team was already gone. To me, that defeats much of the purpose of paying for a white-glove delivery service. With an expensive piece of furniture, I would expect the delivery team to carefully handle the item, assemble it, allow the customer to inspect it, and confirm that everything arrived in satisfactory condition before leaving. I do want to be fair: the team successfully brought a very large piece of furniture into my home and assembled it. My issue is with the damage and the lack of a proper final inspection before they rushed out. Hernest is currently working with me to try to obtain a replacement door, and I'm hoping the issue can ultimately be resolved. But based on this delivery experience, I would be hesitant to use Metropolitan Warehouse & Delivery again for expensive furniture. read more

If I could give them negative stars i would. This company is Burrow House's white glove delivery provider, and my experience has been anything but "white glove." On June 16, I scheduled my delivery for June 26 and was assured I would receive a call 24 hours in advance with my delivery window. Instead, on the morning of June 26, I received a notification that my delivery would not be made and was prompted to reschedule for July 10. After calling customer service, I was told my couch was already in their warehouse in Indiana and that they could deliver it on June 30. Based on that assurance, I rearranged my work schedule and accepted the new delivery date. On the morning of June 30, I received a text confirming my delivery window was between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Less than an hour later, I received another text stating my delivery was unavailable and prompting me, once again, to reschedule for July 10. This level of service is unacceptable. I've now rearranged my work schedule twice based on delivery commitments that were never honored. The communication has been inconsistent, the scheduling unreliable, and the customer experience incredibly frustrating. If you're ordering from Burrow, I strongly recommend declining the white glove delivery service if this is the company providing it. And if you're purchasing from another retailer that uses this delivery provider, I'd encourage you to consider taking your business elsewhere. read more

I was leery after reading reviews, but my Daals chair was just delivered by the local hub, Island Deliveries, and it couldn't have gone smoother. Not only was the text to confirm my delivery window easy, they texted and called before they arrived with spot on ETA accuracy. My delivery stated it was only "threshold delivery", but the two delivery staff kindly took it inside, discarded the packaging, and ensured we were happy with the product. When you call they give you wrong address and name with your order number because they use SAME orders for pickups and delivery. They can never get a hold of the crew. I called 3x and left notes in system and had a kind neighbor wait for my pickup, because I had emergency travel and they no showed. She asked me if I packaged and blanket wrapped eceryrhing? Horrible customer service and still can't get anyone to contact me about when the deliveries are coming even after providing an email and phone number with multiple people. I am editing this because of the business owners response. I've called the number you said multiple times probably about 6 times , each time you make a delivery to me, and so far have talked to about 5 different people. JULY 18, 2026 They cancelled our furniture delivery because one piece was missing and we've NO IDEA when any of the 5 pieces will ever be delivered. Our new and quite expensive living room rug was damaged during delivery and acknowledged by the delivery drivers with pictures. It took 3 different delivery dates, all 4 hour windows, and no one came to put the bed together correctly. In fact the last delivery date no one showed at all. I made the mistake of giving MWD a second chance to deliver a rug, also from Anthropologie and again found myself waiting 5 hours only to find out that it's not coming today because they failed to even load it on the truck this morning. Metropolitan Warehouse and Delivery is the absolute worst delivery company. They sent me a tracker to my cell for a 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. delivery of my Koala sofa bed. I asked for Saturday morning and they made it a weekday afternoon but fine. Then the tracker kept pushing the window back and back all day. Finally, it was at 4:31 p.m. to 5:31 p.m. I say looking at the tracker on my phone waiting. Then at 4:50 p.m. I get a text they came and left! They never called me or texted me. I call customer service and eventually speak to the supervisor Carols ID 388. Totally useless. He says something about how he 'wouldn't call me a liar' and proceeds to waste my time for 15 minutes before saying in so many words F U. Meanwhile the app tracker still says they never even arrived. How am I supposed to know the delivery people have arrived when the tracker THEY SENT ME says it's not arrived. I am trying now to get a refund from Koala. This has been the worse experience I have ever had with a delivery service. First off they were told what week worked for me and they told me it could be done. Well it got delivered when I was not home. Luckily I was able to have my friend be here. Upon delivery they realized they had forgotten a piece of my furniture. My friend talked to the supervisor and he said it would be a priority. That date was May 16th. Worst furniture delivery and assembly experience ever. We ordered a bed from Castlery, paid for a white glove experience. The bed was not assembled in the first attempt due to missing parts. We waited about 3 weeks to get the missing parts from the vendor. On the second attempt, again few missing parts. We are now stuck with a half assembled bed. And at this point, we have reasons to believe the assembly team is misplacing the parts themselves to get out of assembling the furniture. Do not work with them. read more

1 star -- and only because zero isn't an option. Metropolitan Warehouse failed to deliver our order, violated their own protocols, and then lied about it. Their team claims to have arrived, knocked on two doors, and left -- but we were home the entire time, never heard a knock, and our unit number is clearly marked at both the front and back of the building. Based on their own timeline, they almost certainly knocked on the wrong doors entirely. Per Metropolitan's stated protocol, the delivery team is required to call twice -- five minutes before arrival and again upon arrival. We received one call at 8:34 AM with no voicemail. We called back five times. No answer. When we contacted customer service, we were told we couldn't have the delivery company's name, couldn't speak to them, and couldn't be connected to anyone who could actually help. The supervisor told us their records showed multiple call attempts were made -- which our call log directly contradicts -- and refused to correct the inaccuracy. The team was still in the area and the order was two barstools. A same-day return would have taken minimal time. They refused. Now we're expected to reschedule, give up another full day of work, and trust a team that ignored their own procedures and wouldn't return our calls. The customer service throughout was dismissive, rude, and completely unacceptable for a white-glove service. Avoid Metropolitan Warehouse if you have any other option. read more

This company really messed up. We were supposed to receive a couch on July 29. Their truck could not make it. Then they showed up on July 30. Both drivers were drunk or high. It smelled like marijuana when I went to greet him. The top of the truck was seriously damaged. The back of the truck was so damaged that they could not roll it up. Then the police came. They towed away the truck. The incompetence of these drivers was unbelievable. Then the company said they would deliver the couch on August 10. That also did not happen. They are supposed to come today. But when I called I was told I was the ninth stop. I am beyond frustrated. If you can avoid this company somehow, I strongly urge you to avoid them. Pretty positive that they are illegal aliens and I am about to report this company and its driver. They had no wallets or any forms of valid ID or drivers licenses and they refused to drive to the Air Force Base visitors center so that I could inquire about my delivery. I've had several deliveries made by drivers in the past where I've had to escort them on to base with no issues. That was not the case with these two drivers. I had to track them to a Safeway parking lot to inquire about my item and they were very unprofessional saying that I'd have to wait weeks until someone else could deliver it to my home. I was promised a White Glove delivery and assembly and the trash was supposed to be removed from my home, but your drivers were unable to complete this task or even do their job. When I scheduled this delivery, your delivery form specifically asks if the delivery will be made to a military installation, in which I specified "YES" Why even ask that if your drivers cannot complete the delivery. So not only were they driving illegally with out driver's licenses, but they refused to even deliver my items, with the excuse that they left their wallets in the car back in Phoenix and they wouldn't even meet me at the main gate. I had to leave home and driver to them several miles away twice. I could hardly communicate with them. One did not speak English at all and the other had such a heavy accent and was not fluent, I had no idea what he was saying. Worst delivery service I have ever experienced and I don't even have my furniture yet. I was the last delivery in 2:30-5:30pm window on a Friday afternoon. I took the day off work to be home for this delivery. The truck had gps tracking and said it was en route for my delivery as of 4:45pm. When I looked at 5:27pm they were 0.5 miles from my house so I was relieved they were still on their way. As of 5:31pm I received a call from their customer service saying they were unable to deliver my furniture because the shifts of the drivers were over. Please keep in mind I live over a hour from the warehouse they were dispatched from so the drivers still had a commute to go back and drop off my furniture, even though "their shifts were over". Then I was told they couldn't "fit me in for four days because they don't deliver to my area often and don't have routes here." This is a 3rd party shipping company that signed a contract to deliver for the furniture manufacturer I ordered from and was promised a delivery, after paying an additional $200 for inside delivery. I then asked if I could make the drive to the warehouse to come get my furniture myself instead and was told no, the warehouse is closed the following day. Yet, they had active deliveries scheduled the following day from the same warehouse. Therefore, the result is I live too far from their warehouse for any extra accommodations, even though the "failed delivery attempt" was not my fault, I can't go pick up the furniture that I purchased, they can't "re-attempt" delivery for 4 days, and they can't guarantee me any morning time slot so this same situation doesn't happen again. read more
