They had a live brass and strings group playing music, which is something I've never seen or experienced in an airport before (only other airport I've been in that offered live music are the pianists that sometimes play in the food court area at Charlotte airport), and food/shopping options were plentiful. Arrival and departure were both smooth, signage was clear and easy to follow, and we had a good meal at The Rustic, which was a welcome departure from usual airport fare and chain restaurants.

I researched tour companies in advance of our trip, and I chose "Discover Houston Tours." Phil planned an itinerary and kept in touch with me before our arrival at HOU-Hobby. He communicated with me by phone, text, and email which assured me that I had selected the best tour guide. Our main purpose was to use our "free day" to tour Johnson Space Center. Phil picked us up at the airport and took us on the greatest tour of the Space Center. He guided us to every exhibit, so that no time was wasted. If I had been "on my own," I would never have known how grand the Space Center was. After the Space Center tour, Phil suggested that he had time for a tour of Houston. Phil's knowledge of Houston is unsurpassed. He took us to all the amazing places in Houston, including famous parks, River Oaks, historic sites, landmarks, and an opportunity to admire the skyline and the architectural beauty of buildings and skyscrapers. I am grateful for Phil Stewart's wonderful tour of Houston. Our visit to Houston was perfect!

It's not too hard to find street parking over by St. Thomas, especially at nights or on the weekends, or you can use the garage and have Eatsie Boys or Black Labrador validate your parking for you. From here you can ride to the Menil or around St. Thomas (check out the medieval labyrinth over by the Chapel of St. Basil) or you can hoof it to Rice University and the bike station at Hermann Park. You can also get to the Museum District from here (there's a station by the MFAH that you can drop your bike off at) or get eats in Montrose (there's another station in the other direction right in front of Underbelly).

Houston B-Cycle is SO fun, easy and inexpensive…read more My wife and I enjoyed 24 hour access to bikes across the downtown area for only $5 (all tax and fees included) The catch is you only get a 60 minute session at a time, before having to return it to a location. But the plus side is you can literally return it to any of their locations for 1 second and then rent them again (as long as not all the bikes are rented at that location, and someone isn't waiting for a bike). If you go over the 60 minute session, It's 2 more bucks for an extra 30 minutes. Such a great addition to the area, and so much fun. Check them out next time you're in the area!

It looked to be a well kept area from the outside. Nice little park and the red caboose was great for the children to run around, climb on, look into/under and just get as excited as a child looking at train can be. ;-) It was a nice stop and - for the reasoning - it was perfectly fine it was closed because what 2 yr old (or 4 yr old) is going to want to read everything that might be in the actual museum? The only thing we MIGHT have missed (cannot be sure) is being able to possible purchase some knick-knack or toy they would have likely loved. May have to stop by when they are open next time we are in town - just to see what we may have missed.

The people of Katy restored Missouri-Kansas-Texas (Katy) Railroad Depot, in a unique Downtown "pocket park", which is a Historic Site and serves as the City's information center with brochures and maps, and features Katy Heritage Society Railroad Museum and an authentic red caboose. This is an amazing little park which is great for photo opportunities. The Station House and the Red Caboose have been expertly restored in every detail band placed in a small park which is a beautifully landscaped area with benches and an old town clock. It is located on the main road. I spent almost two hours seeing, touching and reading. I was briefed by an expert town person who was volunteering her time. The information and tourist center is open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. There is just so much to see and read. You will love it.

If I had any questions they were able to answer them. The bus driver that my Daughter had was just as sweet and really cared. She would go out of her way to make sure my daughter was taken care of and she didn't even know that my daughter was a first time bus rider. You are able to make your payment to them online which is convenient for me. The schools they provide transportation to are; Bonner Elem., Park Place Elem., Patterson Elem., Rucker Elem., Ortiz Middle, W.I. Stevenson Middle & Chavez High School.
