Carol Jones was my wife and my attorney for our recent home purchase. She was the epitome of professionalism and trustworthiness. Due to the timing of our accepted offer, there was a lot of work to be done around the holidays, and she never batted an eye at returning an email while she was away from the office on holiday. She represented us honestly and fairly in the negotiation process, and I tend to think that we came out ahead in the end thanks to her. At the closing, she was very thorough while explaining the stack of documents to be signed, and she was also very calm, collected, and professional with dealing with a last-minute negotiation with the seller's attorney that was necessary after the seller didn't totally hold up their end of the agreement with a couple repairs to be made prior to the closing. Jill Metz represented our condo association. The Judge told her he couldn't tell what she was trying to sue for because her complaint made no sense to him. Jill had to hire another attorney to draft the complaint for her and she was not able to successfully litigate. The Judge called Jill out several times for not having the proper knowledge or experience to practice litigation. I recommend you not use Jill for litigation or to prepare any documents that may require litigation at a later date. Despite Jill Metz's attempts to have filings removed that she was too personally and emotionally involved with the one of the board memeber's the judge allowed this to remain in the file which is public information! read more

When I tried to make an appointment with the original attorney, who runs a 15 person office in downtown Chicago, I couldn't seem to get anyone, to return my call. I found Jill in the internet, read her reviews, then found out that she is a good friend's attorney. She is excellent to work with, and gave me some tax avoiding tips never mentioned by the previous attorney. I cannot comment on her pricing.
