Every time we stayed in Saco, we went there. I had just finished my wonderful trip in Bar Harbor and we found Renys coming home . It's in Ellsworth and we saw it on the way in. It's a good 30 minutes from Bar Harbor. We wanted to come before but when you are doing Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor, you don't have much time. I am glad I came to see it. It is a big store, clean, and they have a great assortment of shoes, clothes, accessories. Always good prices. I wish I had more time, they were closing in 30 minutes. But I got to look around and remember the good old days of shopping in Renys. When in Maine, you have to come. It's a local store, only found in this state and it's truly fun to shop.

You might be able to get items for cheaper if you follow sales, but when you can't find items at other stores, Reny's usually has it. When you're there, go to the spices and seasonings area and buy the Camp Mix. Camp Mix is a salt/Garlic/pepper seasoning that is great for meats, eggs, pasta and Bloody Mary's. The honey/cinnamon is perfect for oatmeal and toast. The Spud flavor is wonderful on pork and chicken. The staff is always helpful and pleasant.

Someone outside was joking about possible reasons they were doing it, but I assume it is the recent surge in Covid. At least I think he was joking. Because of the success of vaccines and Paxlovid in slowing down the spread and reducing its impacts, I think some people believe Covid is finished rather than that it is now like flu strains. Anyway, the wait outside the store was short. I tend to shop more closely in the Home Goods section rather then in the clothing, unless there is something in particular I am looking for. They sometimes have surprising items for sale, such as the time we found our brand of decaf coffee at a great price. The variety of decaf available at warehouse stores can be pretty limited, but if you have a Kurig you are made in the shade. They must sell a lot more of it and make more profit. So i don't shop at TJ Maxx regularly but I like stopping in occasionally to see what they have at that particular moment. It helps me miss Zayre's less from when I went to the Broadway Shopping Center decades ago now.

Some of it comes from there own farm right there. They have two alpacas out back! I would recommend they have a cheap section. Maybe with postcards and gloves or scarves. Might sell a bit more. While looking up descriptions of same jacket sold at numerous places, all said 50% Alpaca, 50%wool, except one, that added the lining was 80%wool, 20%acrylic while the exterior was 50%alpaca, 50% wool. I probably would have still bought it, with those percentages, but it does not state this anywhere on the label and leaves me to question accuracy of their claims. Still, I love the jacket, and it is quite warm. Another review stated something about them handing out religious pamphlets. That is disturbing, and a concern, but the quality is definitely not "bad" as they stated.

I love this Old Navy! It's a huge, beautiful store with a ton of selection. They almost always have…read moremy size if I go in and shop but if by some chance they don't, it's easy to have an item shipped to store. The lines are never unbearable at this store because the cashiers are efficient but they're friendly too! I really appreciate that there's always staff around but they're not pushy. They also have worked really hard to keep this store clean during the pandemic. My one complaint, and this is not Old Navy's fault, is that, without fail, there is at least one guest that doesn't understand proper mask wearing procedure. It's not difficult! It does make me more hesitant to shop in store. Luckily, their curbside option is great! And then I don't have to go in and get germs from rude people! If you're in Bangor, be sure to pop in!

The crafty, community, music, connective options RR offers is much needed, particularly in Bangor.
