I have a bad habit of overeating complimentary chips and salsa before my meal arrives, so this may be a blessing in disguise. Our server was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and I love the festive vibe. A lot of vibrant colors and beautiful tiles. I like the high back booth seating. It gives more privacy compared to the table seating in the center of the dining room. We ordered a grilled chicken taco salad and chorizo sope. Everything tasted fresh and portions were adequate to the pricing. Overall we enjoyed our lunch experience. We will be back to try their other offerings. Would definitely recommend.

We got a 2nd round of margaritas, they make their own mix in house and they were so tasty! We went at 5pm, so they weren't super busy yet, but there were still quite a few tables filled. The place is bright and clean.

Generations of my family have been patrons of Mexican Villa since 1974. Our first soft shell taco was strange to me and my little brother. The only other tacos we'd had before that day were school lunch and a sub-par version at home. Since then, it has been a place we've chosen to attend on birthdays, special occasions and anytime we're near. Nothing else has ever come close to being as good or even similar. We miss the west side restaurant, El Tapitios. The hamburger, soft shells, oil used, enchalada sauce...I've tried to duplicate at home. Anyone figure it out...let me know!! In the mean time...spoiled by the quality, price and unique nostaligia. We have seen the beautiful family owners come, grow up and go. Braids, long hair, short hair, dark hair, grey hair. Lovely and comforting. Not much else is in this world.... read more

What happened to this place? How depressing. I have been going to this restaurant since 1997 and it used to be awesome, old school Mexican food. Now, the food has no flavor. None.
