Read…read moremy testimony below: Ed Little Auto (a competitor to Pep Boys) recently performed routine maintenance service on my automobile, at a quoted maintenance cost cheaper than Pep Boys, and, during an inspection, they concluded that my front and rear tires did not need replacing. Today, however, I was advised, by a different auto mechanic (i.e., Pep Boys) to replace the front tires of my FWD automobile, but not the rear tires of my automobile. Pep Boys declared my front tires as being "completely worn," indicating that immediate replacement would be necessary. After inspecting my car's tires and even getting a 3rd opinion on the matter of whether (or not) my front tires needed replacement, it became apparent that my front tires still had significant useful life left in them, which validates Ed Little Auto's assessment. Therefore, besides doing quality service work at great value to the customer, with competitive pricing, it should be clearly stated that Ed Little Auto engages in honorable, trustworthy business practices, as they insisted that I didn't yet need to pay for the replacement of my car's front tires, unlike Pep Boys: who tried to exploit me for more money for a service that my car did not need. A similar Ed Little Auto positive testimony applies to brake replacement: when Pep Boys previously told me that my car's brakes were "completely worn & needed replacing," Ed Little countered, saying that my brakes still had 45-60% of a useful life on them at that time in the past. Ed Little Auto's statement turned out to be true. Given the above, I would never advise getting any auto mechanic work done at any Pep Boys, ever. Both in my front tires situation and my front brakes situation, Ed Little Auto was correct in its omission of declaring front tires replacement (and omitting brakes replacement) in being necessary during communications to me, which saved me a lot of money. Had I taken the recommendations of Pep Boys, in both instances, I would have wasted money on services I didn't need.

I explained to him my issue and it being an older car, he said no problem and set me up so that I can have it looked into right away. After a few hours of leaving my car there, I checked back in and asked if they were able to find out the issue. Another guy who was also pretty friendly went in the back to check and they pretty much found my problem which was the transmission. They provided me an estimate to fix it, but it was honestly too much for a broke college student like me so I politely declined. They were nothing but courteous and polite to me from the moment I walked in the door. I hope more people can come here to support local businesses and don't get deterred by hateful almost racist comments some people leave these hardworking local shops.

I like to try to support independent businesses as much as I can, and my efforts paid off here. The owner was very nice and friendly and helped me get the right brake pads for my car. I am always wary of getting ripped off with these things, since I feel like people are always out to rip me off the minute they realize I know nothing about cars, but my friend told me I actually got a really good deal on them. I'd highly recommend this shop if you need anything for your car. They have a little parking lot in the mechanic's garage right next door, AND it's super close to a Roscoe's so you can satisfy your chicken and waffle cravings AND auto parts needs in one trip!

It has been stressful for me because of the unknown of what was needed to make my car 100%. George explained all about the brakes I needed and I had them put on all new brakes. They are great. And then a couple days ago I had him put in a new great gel type battery and now no longer needing my car jumped. My entire experience with this location has been 100% positive !
