I've casually known the owner Jim for a few years and knew he was an honest, stand up guy, so when I hit a deer and damaged the front end of my car, I thought I'd call him first. The very first thing he did was ask if the kids and I were ok. I've never had a body shop take the few seconds it took him to see me as a person and not just a client/paycheck. The second thing he told me was "My job is to do the work for you and make this as easy as possible for you and your family." That alone made me feel like his business might be the best choice for me to take care of my repairs. He immediately made time for me to swing by and check out the damage, took all the photos and explained how to work with the insurance. He made this process SO EASY, I couldn't believe it! We were leaving town the next morning and I worried our trip would be peppered with calls from insurance but he was so thorough, the only call I received was insurance telling me they issued a check for repairs. He kept me informed through the whole process, from progress to parts delays, so I never felt like I was unaware of what was happening. I realized I needed something out of my car like 10 days into this, and he met me personally to make sure I could access my vehicle and get what I needed. I would never have imagined I'd leave a review for auto body repair, but they made it so easy and the quality of work they did made the vehicle look better than before I even hit the deer! The price was very reasonable, and they went above and beyond in so many ways, including checking my battery and recharging it for FREE, simply because it was the right thing to do. In my case the estimate was 20% or $1000+ more than the body shop associated with the dealership where I bought my car. Instead of repairing the panel like Dent Magic, they would replace it with an OEM part and paint system. Dent Magic should not waste anyone's time by promoting themselves as anything other than a small dent with no paint damage repair business.

However, they took several days to complete the estimate and when asked about how much they charge for storage they said don't worry about insurance would cover. We knew insurance wouldn't cover and when we got the estimate we knew it was going to be what they charged insurance companies. Long story short, went to move the car off their lot and they charged $50/day and an additional $75 just to move the car on their lot....what a joke. Would never recommend these guys. Go to Jance's south of Kalispell, always fair, timely, and trustworthy.

I was every happy to see that he was able to get the swirl and hard water spots out; however I am unsatisfied with the overall experience for the following reasons. 1. He had my vehicle for 4 days and it turns out he didn't actually start the process until the morning of the last day. I expect he spent about 4-6 hours on it. He made it sound like it was a 2 day process which justified the high cost of the service. 2. When I got the car home I found that he didn't even touch the engine compartment which he says he forgot. He wanted me to bring it back, but after the 4 day process I decided to pass. He should have offered to refund some of the cost of the full exterior detail service. 3. Sill plates were not even wiped down. Technically this is exterior since it is exposed to road wetness. 4. High cost. He said he charges between 350-550 for this service. I was of course charged 550. I didn't complain about the cost since it sounded like he was going to do the BEST in the county type of job on it. This is the 3rd detailing from 3 different detailers. Every experience has been a disappointment. This one being the most frustrating due to the cost versus outcome. I recommend finding a detailer that has been referred to you by friends and family.
